Just a constant stream of excuses and empty promises claiming he'll "pay us back" or "start soon." He has been completely unreliable and dishonest. Every time we follow up, it's another lie or delay. We're still out more than $3,000 and beyond frustrated. This situation is outrageous. We trusted him and gave him multiple chances to make it right. Instead, he took our money and vanished. We are pursuing legal action. Do not hire Joey Lyman. He will take your money and leave you with nothing.

Fence and Plus LLC…read more Contacted Sonia, owner of Fence and Plus LCC for a fence quote including a front gate. She immediately set up an appointment and was early to our appointment. She was polite and very professional; explained their services to me in an easy way. Within a few days, I had my quote and it was very competitive with the market. I did my part (submitted the necessary paperwork to my HOA and within a few days my HOA application was approved). Sonia and her team got to work immediately, got county permits and make sure all service lines were properly marked. On May 1st, her team showed up at my home and did an amazing job. Rafael (the other owner) was here to install and explain each step to me. They triple measure my property to make sure they were right where they needed to be; installed everything, added cement to each pole; cleaned everything after them. The front gate took a bit longer as it had to be custom built. Rafael came back a couple of times to make sure the measurements were perfect and on May 25 & 26, the homes front gate was finally installed. Overall: it was a great experience; very happy with the whole teams professionalism and workmanship. Emilio, the installer, was great!!!! Super happy with the whole team and highly recommend them!!

I chose Fence Mall because of outstanding reviews and Robert's attention to detail. The installation crew arrived on time, with all the necessary materials and expertise. Within several hours the doors were completed and properly installed. They did an excellent job. The doors are well built, very sturdy, and high quality materials. Before any materials were ordered or work began, we submitted the required application to our HOA for approval. Unfortunately, the HOA denied the request and would only approve a black metal fence. As soon as I received the denial, I contacted Fence Mall and explained the situation. Since I specifically wanted a vinyl fence, I decided not to move forward with the project and requested my deposit back. They agreed to refund it, but told me they would keep 35% of my deposit as a cancellation fee. $600 To my knowledge, no materials had been ordered and no installation work had started because everyone was waiting for the HOA's decision. Despite that, they kept approximately $600 from my deposit. I understand that businesses need cancellation policies, but charging such a large fee before any materials were purchased or work was performed is unfair. I was unable to proceed due to circumstances outside of my control, and I don't believe keeping hundreds of dollars in this situation is reasonable. Specially with todays economy I hope Fence Mall reconsiders how it handles situations like this, because it left me feeling like I paid $600 for absolutely nothing. I encourage anyone considering using them to carefully read the cancellation terms before signing a contract. Or just wait for your association approval before giving deposit ...

Sounds like, so what, weld the brackets together and move on. However, multiple angles needed to be changed. Jeff reassembled the seat assembly to confirm the new angles, disassembled it do the welds and reassembled again; all while patiently putting up with a couple of not particularly helpful old duffers and surely wanting to get home to his family as this project started at 5 o'clock. The work was first rate and so is Jeff. I doubt you can find a more knowledgeable or experienced welder. As a bonus, Jeff is a nice guy.

Installers and the foreman (who wasn't very friendly or accommodating) came on time and on the date as promised and did pretty decent job overall, with exception of one small, but concerning issue which I'm going to get into next. After the install, one of the vynil gates had a large gap between the edge of the door and the post, taking away much of privacy. When I asked the foreman to fix it, he didn't do anything, mentioning something about vynil needing to have room to expand in hot temps. Expand 1.5", really? Why did my other gate only had ~ 3/4" gap and this one 1.5" - wouldn't the other one also need to expand? Felt like a poor excuse not to fix the gap. Also, the whole experience was very rough with this foreman. I had to convince him throughout the project several times about how I wanted to get the fence installed. He was constantly complaining about obstacles with soil elevation, level changes, proximity of fence to the house, and how they may not be able to do what I'm asking, even though my requests were very simple and common. What was the MOST disappointing though, when I contacted the company by phone about fixing the gap, the lady answering the phone refused to connect me to the owner, Alan. Then, got back to me telling that they won't do anything about my issue. When I emailed the owner, Alan, he didn't respond for weeks. Then, said that he won't do anything to help me. I sent him photos and pleaded to come and take a look and send someone to address. He said he will come by and then disappeared off the grid. I emailed him over the course of a few months, really wanted to give him a chance to resolve this, but he ignored my subsequent emails and I gave up and wrote this review. So much for promises of "lifetime warranty" and all the other nice buzz words on their website. DON'T fall for it! Some people visiting my home asked me to give a referral to company that installed my fence, which I have all turned down and said that I would not recommend them due to poor customer service. Too bad, I had really high hopes for this company after reading other reviews and gave plenty of chances to.fix this problem.

He came out at the expected time, gave a fair quote and since we were planning on doing it eventually anyway, I trusted him and his crew at MiCo Development Group to install a 2nd gate on the other side of the fence. The quote for the project was fair and delivered quickly through email via a customer portal. Payment for the deposit was simple and easy to do and everything was honest and straightforward. We scheduled a time for the work to be done a few weeks after the quote and Colton was communicative about the best days, letting us know that they had to adjust slightly for the Thanksgiving holiday, but was also clear in checking in ahead the day before to make sure the date worked out. When the work was done, they showed up on time and went over the agreed upon specs ahead of time. Colton and Mike paid attention to every detail I mentioned (such as a specific gate latch that I wanted) before starting. And in the middle of the job, when they accidentally hit a sprinkler line, they were honest about it and ensured that it was fixed properly before calling the job complete. The repairs were done in about half a day and now I have the piece of mind of (two!) working gates. Professional, friendly, prompt and fairly priced, as well as amazing customer service makes MiCo Development stand out above any other company here on Yelp.
