If you are looking for good customer service and be treated with common courtesy - GO ELSEWHERE! Had my fence installed in December 2020 after working through the details and pricing (which I thought was reasonable), with the owner Alan. Installers and the foreman (who wasn't very friendly or accommodating) came on time and on the date as promised and did pretty decent job overall, with exception of one small, but concerning issue which I'm going to get into next. After the install, one of the vynil gates had a large gap between the edge of the door and the post, taking away much of privacy. When I asked the foreman to fix it, he didn't do anything, mentioning something about vynil needing to have room to expand in hot temps. Expand 1.5", really? Why did my other gate only had ~ 3/4" gap and this one 1.5" - wouldn't the other one also need to expand? Felt like a poor excuse not to fix the gap. Also, the whole experience was very rough with this foreman. I had to convince him throughout the project several times about how I wanted to get the fence installed. He was constantly complaining about obstacles with soil elevation, level changes, proximity of fence to the house, and how they may not be able to do what I'm asking, even though my requests were very simple and common. What was the MOST disappointing though, when I contacted the company by phone about fixing the gap, the lady answering the phone refused to connect me to the owner, Alan. Then, got back to me telling that they won't do anything about my issue. When I emailed the owner, Alan, he didn't respond for weeks. Then, said that he won't do anything to help me. I sent him photos and pleaded to come and take a look and send someone to address. He said he will come by and then disappeared off the grid. I emailed him over the course of a few months, really wanted to give him a chance to resolve this, but he ignored my subsequent emails and I gave up and wrote this review. So much for promises of "lifetime warranty" and all the other nice buzz words on their website. DON'T fall for it! Some people visiting my home asked me to give a referral to company that installed my fence, which I have all turned down and said that I would not recommend them due to poor customer service. Too bad, I had really high hopes for this company after reading other reviews and gave plenty of chances to.fix this problem. read more

Everyone at Fence Pro Tampa Bay is professional, fair, flexible, prompt and provides excellent customer service. We needed a 17' fence, which included a 4' fence, to secure a section of our backyard. We bought a puppy before we had a proper yard for her, so obviously, time was of the essence. We got two bids and Fence Pro's estimate was substantially lower than the other company. Alan Wozniak, President and an Owner of Fence Pro Tampa Bay, was extremely informative and flexible. Since we had to wait for HOA approval before beginning work, we needed to change the installation date twice due to changes in the HOA meeting schedule. Alan was able to get us in two weeks earlier than we originally scheduled installation! His communication with us was prompt, professional and courteous. Devon installed out fence and did an excellent job. He was thorough, clean, informative and made excellent suggestions when we saw the gap below the fence line and the uneven, sloped ground. The yard slopes upward, away from the water table, and is quite uneven. With that said, the fence was installed as well as could be expected with all of the changes in the level. I contacted Alan again to get his opinion. He went out of his way, I mean above and beyond, to creatively assist us in closing the gap. Devon returned with Dakota three days later to implement the solution, all for the price of the original estimate. We highly recommend Fence Pro Tampa Bay. After careful review if several fence companies, I chose Fence Pro and couldn't be more pleased with the final product. I spoke with Alan W. several times and it was agreed to start the project the first week of December. The job took two days full days as we ran into some obstacles that had nothing to do with the fence company nor the employees. All the workers were extremely professional and hard working. The crew chief Jose made sure that the fence was secure so my dog couldn't get underneath it. Any concerns or questions I had were answered by Jose. i Had a vinyl privacy fence installed as well as a picket fence which adds the finishing touch to my property. Since this company does not have it set up for you to send messages, I had to go to their website to send a request for a quote. The response message was for me to call them to set up a time. There was no effort to try and call me. Which leads me to think that they really aren't interested in my business. I called anyway and I am told he can only come on a day we are not available because that is when he is in that area. There were no alternatives offered. After it was decided he could stop by while we are work, we were asked what kind of fence. I explained that we want a wood fence installed. I was then informed they are not installing wood fences. This is something that I feel like should have been brought up earlier in the conversation. The whole process made it hard for me to try and give them my business. During the last heavy storm a tree limb had fallen on my fence and broke one of the post caps. I had called all over Florida and had called the manufacturer to obtain a replacement cap without success. My grandson had FencePro of Tampa Bay install his fence recently and was extremely satisfied with Allan, the owner and his crew. I emailed Allan and explained my problem and that I wanted to purchase a couple of Elite Post Caps. He arranged for me to stop by and get the caps while I was visiting my grandson. Just needed gates installed on both sides of my house. 2 or 3 companies refused the job saying it was too small 1 company said the were pricing out jobs for late September (this was early June, 2021), another for late August. Fence Pro was in line with other quotes but Alan said they would do the job in late July. They showed up on the day promised, explained everything & discussed placement. The installers were moving right along when severe storms rolled in & dumped 3" of rain in a couple of hours, flooding both side yards. Same thing happened the following week & we were finally good to go today, August 18. On a very hot & humid day, they showed up around 1 & had the job finished about 5. I couldn't be happier with the job they did & would heartily recommend them to anyone looking for a fence. read more

They know about the spec requirements and have done a lot in the neighborhood, are knowledgable, seem to use good quality materials, and the install and finished product looked great BUT.. that did not outweigh the cons and negative experience I had as well as the fact they broke 2 of my sprinkler heads in my irrigation system. I ordered the installation a month ahead however the installation date was delayed over 2 weeks and I was not told this until 3 days before the scheduled install date ( when the install date was just confirmed a few days prior). They said it was the manufacturers fault not theirs. I asked for a discount for the inconvenience because I have 2 large dogs and a toddler and my husband was going out of town for 6 days. I couldn't take the dogs out and my son so I had to enlist the help of my parents who live far away. I appealed to them for customer retention, goodwill and referral purposes for a discount for the inconvenience but they said no I was still going to have to pay the full price they quoted (I have nothing to compare the price to but I know aluminum is expensive material for a fence). They said no because they asked manufacturer and they wouldn't give them one hence they couldn't pass one along to me. . After they installed the fence (2 weeks later than contracted) they tried to charge a 3.75% credit card use fee when my contract didn't specify that and I specifically asked if they took credit cards. Don't get me wrong- I get that credit card companies pass fees along to some vendors that pass those along to clients BUT the vendors need to tell the clients (I have used credit cards for major purchases such as this before and no charge). They didn't end up charging me due to their mistake in not disclosing that. One week after fence was installed and my sprinklers ran I found out one of their new employees (since fired) had busted 2 of my sprinkler pipes. My husband and a handyman fixed it- I posted pics on this website. It's obvious they tried to repair one as the pipe is severed and a piece was put in the middle directly underneath the fence post. Professionally I expected them to have checked the sprinkler lines before installation; however I was also displeased that they did not disclose to me prior to their departure the day of installation that they had busted the 2 sprinkler pipes and tried to cheaply repair them with plastic tubing. My husband and I did not call them when we realized the sprinklers were broken a week later (our irrigation system runs once a week on Saturday) as they are closed on the weekends and due to the issues with timing of installation, credit card charges, and breaking the sprinkler and attempting repair without notifying me we decided not to contact them as we no longer trusted them. Subsequent to fixing it ourselves and posting my initial review on google and yelp I was contacted by one of the owners stating they would have repaired it and would have liked the opportunity to correct their mistake. My husband went to their office in person and talked to one of the owners and he admitted the new employee did do it and his work was not checked and he was subsequently fired. I think it was their responsibility to oversee this new person and help guide them- a newly hired person shouldn't be repairing an expensive irrigation system; however I appreciated them acknowledging that they did in fact break it and were disappointed in themselves for doing so. If I could give 2.5 stars I would but the system only allows for whole start so I gave 2. I would say I was not happy with my overall experience; however I reiterate that they have a great deal of knowledge and their fence material and product is exceptional. read more

I scheduled the install with them and they were scheduled 6 weeks out so I waited since they were the lowest quote I had received. The day came and I was told they would be there from 9am til 4:30ish. They finished around 1PM and as soon as I got home, I knew why they were done so early. Every single piece of dirt that they dug up was left all over my yard. It was a mess. I called to ask them if that was normal and they assured me it was not and they would be out to clean it up. 2 days later and they still hadn't come to clean it up. And then it rained for 2 straight days so my dirty yard turned to mud. I called again and let them know that I was still upset with the mess and they said that they would come back again. They did, but nothing changed. I mean, how are they going to pick up mud that was now embedded in the grass, all over my yard? They couldn't so I was left with a mud yard that I just had to wait to dry up. The fence was exactly what I was expecting but the complete mess that was left behind was not. If you choose to go with this company, I would strongly recommend inspecting their work before you pay them and let them leave. read more
