The location itself is a bit on the run-down side; probably because it has some of the cheapest meats and food items in Middletown given how inexpensive things like sausage and ground beef was there. The place has a bit of a smell to it, in that sometimes you get the vague scent of rot, but it seemed to have been taken care of on my last visit a few weeks ago. The roster is a bit limited, and I'd say that Lidl has a better variety and service, but Aldi tends to edge Lidl out on meat sales and has notably better parking. It's good for what it is and I'd recommend going for things like steak or pork, though I wish it was a bit cleaner.

Lidl in Middletown has gotten rather bad at updating their shelf tags. On my last 4 out of 5 visits…read moreto this store, there has been at least one item that rang up at the register at a higher price than the shelf tag. In the past, they have been able to make some sort of adjustment so I got the shelf tag price. However, on my most recent visit, the supervisor or manager or whoever that guy was told me that they were unable to give me the shelf tag price because the system would scan it at the higher price every time. So I just returned the item and let the matter go. The next week, however, I went to Lidl in Cherry Hill. They too had an out of date shelf tag, but this time the cashier was able to make the price adjustment quickly and easily by ringing it up as a generic "grocery" item. Which means what that guy at the Middletown Lidl told me was complete bullshit. That issue aside, Lidl is still one of the better places in town to shop. Prices (except for the ones that were jacked up recently without an update to the shelf tag) are usually competitive with Walmart. Similar to other discount grocery chains, they have store brands for the most common items to keep prices low. Aisles are spacious. There is no self-checkout at this location though, so lines could be long if there aren't enough cashiers on duty.

OMG! For a gardener like me, this place is paradise. And there's more to Willey than just plants…read more It's a little shopping village. The house goods shop is to die for. Such interesting items...great for when you need a special gift, or just to treat yourself with something for home. There's a sweet shop with cool toys and books for kids as well as specialty foods for adults. There's another shop there too, selling gardening items and decoratives. And don't forget to stop at the adjacent food market.

Though when I went to the check out the cashier denied my purchase, this left me in shambles. Also, the walmart employees were doing some interesting things to the turkey on thanksgiving, lets just say when i cut that thing open some white sticking fluid came rushing out. But in their defense it may have gotten in the turkey during my daily gooning sesh. now me and my family have no turkey to eat and I don't have my important household items.
