Before Namste opened in Middletown, I used to go here to shop. They didn't always have what you needed, and the products they did have were from inferior brands. They have a "reward" policy that is the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard. I don't remember the exact numbers, but after spends Ng something like $500, they gave you $10 credit. The store was always dirty. Your shoes got stuck on the sticky floors. Their prices are a little higher than larger Indian stores. My friends catered from their take out restaurant, and the food was tasty. I just don't trust the hygiene in the kitchen.

Such interesting items...great for when you need a special gift, or just to treat yourself with something for home. There's a sweet shop with cool toys and books for kids as well as specialty foods for adults. There's another shop there too, selling gardening items and decoratives. The farm is listed as 'Fairview Sod Farm' which if your a non-local like myself wouldn't have even found this place by doing a typically search for Strawberry picking. We went there on 5/20 which Waze got us there very easily and pulled up to a nice sized sign which further confirmed we were at the right place. We turned in and saw a small Booth that had 'Strawberries' so we pulled up. Met up with the owners wife who was really nice and she gave us the breakdown as to where on the farm to go (1 min drive), what section of the SB field was ready for picking and the price which was ($1.75lb at the time of writing. She also explained she could either provide a box for .75c which can be used each time we visited (yearly too if the box holds up) or stated we could use your own bag. We opted for the box. The SB field was pretty big to me and since I've never been I had no reference all I knew is that there was an abundance of plants and we quickly gathered up 6lbs of the best tasting Strawberries we've ever had. It must be a freshness thing, because they are damn good! I'm not saying that they are the best farm in DE, but it is definitely better than store bought berries and good enough that I have no issues recommending them. We will definitely be going there this coming weekend and keep visiting as long as SB are available this season ...as well as in the future!

Stopped by Sprouts in Middletown, Delaware early on the morning of Thursday, July 9th to grab a few…read morethings and check out some of the unique products I'd been hearing about. Right away, I noticed how friendly the staff was--several team members greeted me as I made my way through the store, which made for a really welcoming experience. The highlight of my visit was meeting Tina in the water aisle. I was browsing the different options when she struck up a conversation and shared her recommendation for Mountain Valley Spring Water. She explained some of the differences between products and talked about what makes Mountain Valley Spring Water unique. I was genuinely impressed by how knowledgeable she was and how excited she seemed to help customers find the right fit for them. It's always nice to run into employees who really know their products and enjoy helping people. Tina definitely made my first Sprouts visit a memorable one. I'll be back to check out more of what the store has to offer!

This is a smaller, but well-supplied farm stand, a REAL farm stand, on Bunker Hill Road in…read moreMiddletown. You turn right on Bunker Hill from 301 heading South, or you continue on Main Street (299) at the big intersection with 301 near Wawa and Lowes. About 3 miles down the road, on the right is a flag and you drive down a gravel drive to the farm stand behind strawberry fields and corn fields. The Filaskys grow table corn "John's Corn" which is sweet and delicious and always very fresh. They also have strawberries, including u-pick in season. The rest of the farm stand has jams, preserves, local and non-local produce and Woodside Ice Cream, which is a locally made dairy ice cream that is incredibly rich and good. My favorite items are the corn, tomatoes (perhaps not as good as the famous Jersey tomatoes) and their zucchini. One year, they grew a gray variety that was incredible, but I haven't seen it since. Perhaps gray zucchini didn't resonate with buyers but the squash is always very good. Peaches are also local, Delaware being a peach growing state that lost its status as a US Peach Capital after the Yellow Peach Blight of the early 20th Century. But you can still see the "peach mansions" in Middletown's pretty downtown area and off 301. In season, you will find flats of annuals and perennials. These are very healthy; I still have a clump of dianthus I bought a decade ago, going strong, and the begonias and impatiens are particularly good. The selection will depend on the growing season. This is a pretty spot, on a pretty road heading into Maryland and worth a detour, if you like farm stands. Just, have a cooler with ice handy because you'll really want to bring some Woodside vanilla ice cream home with you.

However, they do have a number of items, including honey, jam, butter. In particular, the bacon here looked pretty good as well. One of the more important products this time of year (well, IDK when i'm going to publish this review, but I came here around early October) seems to be the pumpkins. They kind of have one of those things where you can pick out your own pumpkin in their pumpkin patch. The greatest thing about this place, in my opinion, is that despite kind of being further away from whatever one might designate as the city center out here... they take card! This was hugely appreciated, and enabled me to make my purchase, since I rarely bring cash around with me. This really pushes the 3.5 up to a 4.0
