He surely is, but what they didn't tell me was that he would be generous with his time and educate me as to why my tree could not be saved (girdled) and help prevent it in the future (balled and burlap trees only)!! Was excited to work with this company and called them after getting estimate to see when they could do it. Never got a call back that day and the next morning th at called to say they're on their way. I wasn't expecting them and told it wasn't good timing. Bob personally called back and threatened me that i shouldn't have scheduled with him then. I explained I didn't and told him I was sorry for any inconvenience. He yelled at me and hung up. ACME tree service was a life saver. They helped us out with a huge fallen maple tree on our roof and in back yard on very short notice. Very professional and super efficient. The May 2019 storm left us with a HUGE tree limb laying up against our house. One call to Bob and a few days later he, son Alec (right hand man!) and the crew were over and carefully removed the HUGE limb without causing further damage. I called Acme tree service because I have a large property in Lincoln with well over 20 full-sized mature trees, that honestly had been let go for a number of years. Bob Odom came out and had a look and we made a plan that was within my budget to improve the health and appearance of the property. Acme Tree came to do the job ahead of schedule, he had a 4 man crew of skilled and fast workers and they tackled my tree project diligently and exceeded my expectations. It is also worth noting that this is one of the only tree companies where the owner is on-site overseeing the project for the entire job! Most owners just bid the jobs and send crews to do the work. Bob gets right into the thick of the job and his experience and know how shines through during the entire project! They had their own bucket truck, stump grinders, industrial log cutters, wood chippers, and tons of chain saws and powered trimmers. Some of the trees were harder to get to, so they climbed ladders and scaled the trees as needed. It was obvious these guys knew exactly what they were doing! I have used over 5 different tree companies in Lincoln over the past 20 years and for my money, I would rank Acme Tree Care as the best in Lincoln especially if you need a lot of work done. They are busy, which comes from being good at what they do.... but if a customer understands the industry and has an idea of what they want and needs, it is easy to appreciate the expertise, and hands on approach of Acme Tree. I saw another review on here for someone that had a 1 tree limb request and never used Acme, so I would not give any credence to that review. Small projects like one broken tree limb, etc., it is less important which company you use... just whoever can get there first. I have had small jobs in the past also, and I have used a variety of different trimmers in those instances, but if you want your entire tree landscaped property to be beautiful and healthy, and done right, without breaking the bank, I would recommend Acme without reservation. read more

Absolutely DO NOT use this tree service. I called him after this weekend's storms on a recommendation from my neighbor. After my initial phone call I never received the promised call back. Once I called in again and finally got the owner on the phone and again explained my situation (i have a storm-damaged tree branch hanging out of my tree over my neighbors garage that has the potential to do damage to her property) I was told they're only doing emergency removals right now and that mine wasn't an emergency. He told me that without knowing the details of the tree branch, he couldn't give me a price and he had no time to come out and look at it. I then told him I felt he was being a bit rude as I felt that potential damage to a neighbor's property was an emergency, and that I called him based on a good recommendation from my neighbor. His response was "hey now, don't come at me like that, you can just use someone else." The owner of the company then hung up on me. Top 10 worst customer service experiences. I will be telling absolutely everyone who asks me for a recommendation of this sort never to call Acme as the company makes you feel less than important.
