The turnover among house parents and staff was extremely high. While the program presents itself as providing structure and guidance, many interactions felt belittling and degrading rather than supportive. In my experience, the owners seemed more focused on maximizing profit than on the well-being of the children in their care. Families pay significant amounts of money expecting professional support and positive outcomes, but that was not what I experienced. Years later, I am still working through the trauma I experienced there and the lasting impact it had on my relationship with my family. Religion was heavily pushed on students, regardless of their personal beliefs, and there was little room for individuality or self-expression. The school markets itself as a prestigious boarding program that will help struggling teens succeed, but my experience was the opposite. It caused additional emotional harm, and many of the amenities and services advertised either did not meet expectations or were not consistently provided. This was one of the most damaging experiences of my life, and I would strongly encourage parents to do extensive research and consider other options before sending their child here.
