I finally had to update my home computer. I went to ACT Computers and chatted with the sales staff who helped me figure out what I needed to replace my soon to be outdated laptop. I ended up with a desktop and keyboard and mouse and 27" screen all put together by ACT. Rami brought everything to my home at the scheduled time and set everything up perfectly. Rami was very knowledgeable and courteous and friendly . He even set up my old printer wirelessly. Explained I wanted to get photos from an older computer, was told they could do it and given a price of $150...came to pick it up and was told it's the entire contents of computer and attemptEd to charge me $300, manager explained if I brought my own flash drive in it would be the original quoted price. Would have appreciated an explanation that they don't do just photos, I wouldn't have proceeded. Disappointed it will take longer to go through everything to get photos of my husband who passed as a gift for my daughter. In future please explain up front to people. read more

Be careful what you bring in there! I had just stopped in for 2 copies of 2 documents on a USB stick. I asked for them to be pulled up on the computer so I could tell the clerk which ones I needed copies of which he did. They were two different tax docs. Not long ones. The clerk then took my USB stick in the back to copy, it took a long time I almost told him to forget it. Not once during this time did he state they don't do copies there. He then finally comes back with a pile of pages which was 30 pages of something I never asked for copies of. Another older guy told started speaking to me with an accent stating we don't do copies here. And again I stated I didn't ask for you to copy this! Then he stated oh we did it for free. They clearly don't know what they are doing. Then, when I get back to my place, I double checked my USB stick to see where the docs were I needed to have for my taxes, one was completely taken off it and the other document which was 121 pages that I had on my USB stick was MISSING! BEWARE not a good place to get copies. And neither one of them when I walked in stated they don't do copies. read more

Hard Drive crashed last week. Met Bruce at ACT. 24 hour turnaround with new hard drive. Reasonable price. Very professional. Mirrored my data. However, they were not able to recover my email addresses and my inbox folders from the old Hard Drive. Critical for me. Bruce and Bill worked diligently to recover what they could and also were able to download files from an email site to complete my missing data. My panic attack finally abated. They spent a great deal of time to complete this operation. Kudos to them and their honesty. I doubt I would use another service. read more

Act Computers has always come through for me 100%. Preston, an employee, was in my home today to fix scanner, fax and other issues for me. I had a hard drive failure several months ago and foolishly went to somebody else early in the morning before I went to work and things were just not right after new hard drive installed. I guess I should have taken it back to them, but I work long hours and just couldn't find time to disconnect everything and bring back. But I called Act Computers because of my previous history with them of complete satisfaction, of having no issues at all with them, at any time, and they came to my home, which is a huge plus to me, within the week and Preston addressed and fixed ALL of my issues. Preston is diligent, focused, efficient, polite, and everything you want in a computer tech who is coming to your home, which is Kudos to Act Computer for employing him. Extremely nice young man.
