Attention College Students and Young Professionals: Michael Pearce has been the only computer tech I'll trust since my first machine in middle school. He's quick, to the point, and very matter-of-fact (something us "millennials" definitely appreciate!!) Mr. Pearce is also very genuine and honest. He has performed many miracles for me, salvaging essays worth large portions of my grade as well as my own personal writings. While away at college, I once took my machine to the university's IT Department; it was a complete nightmare. When I came home for the holidays, Mr. Pearce took a look at my device and was able to not only discover what the problem was, but fix the issue. When I began teaching two years ago, my machine was due for an upgrade. Mr. Pearce helped me understand what types of computers were on the market and which ones would serve my needs best. He even set up the machine with what I'd need as technology is still not my strong suit. The cloud seemed foreign and frightening to me, but Mr. Pearce showed me the steps and now I swear by it. He does his very best to make himself available for his clients--something others can rarely say with confidence. Having just moved to Virginia, I'm still using Mr. Pearce as my computer tech. He uses a wonderful tool called "Team Viewer" which allows him to see into your machine from his house or phone. So even if I'm at a coffee shop and he's out fishing, if I have a computer based life and death emergency, the situation can be handled. Unlike other techs I've encountered who are long winded, Mr. Pearce is very direct and to the point. He's not out to make a meal ticket out of you and will not hold your machine hostage for weeks on end. As soon as he has the problem fixed, you're back with your machine. I can't give a timeframe for his turnaround rate on fixing machines, as every machine may be experiencing different problems, but I'm always shocked how quickly I get the "All done" call.
