They are the most unprofessional ax agency that I have ever ever dealt with. First, we were charged an extra $100 for them to do an amendment to our taxes for a mistake that their employee Nina made when she could've easily resubmitted our taxes with the corrections. When we asked to see Mr Bull, he called us back and we to voiced our concerns about his incompetent employee Nina and said he would relook our taxes and once again when we called to come review them long behold it was the employee that messed up our taxes. Guess what again nothing has been done. I was told that emails are not the best way to communicate, with the return of a nasty email and that I should call the office. Went to Mike for my 2020 taxes at the referral of an old friend. Met with him face to face at his…read moreold office. The next few years I decided to do my own taxes, but for 2023 I decided to go back to him as I was over whelmed at this time. My husband went by and signed before sending off and when I received the packet back I realized he forgot a child, I decided to go back and look at 2020 returns he did and he had also not included that child in 2020's filing. I contacted his office and it took awhile for him to actually get back in contact with me. I spoke to him in April of 2024 about the returns that needed to be amended. He assured me he would get them done asap. By the end of August 2024 and after almost weekly calls, emails and texts no amended return had been started for either of the years. My husband called and demanded he speak to Mike, he got a phone appt with him and my husband sat around for 45 minutes waiting on the call, a call was never made to my husband. My husband had to call and ask when he would call for the appt he had schedule with Mike. Finally 3-4 days after my husband spoke to him, the amended return showed up for 2023. Still nothing showing for 2020. I have called multiple times since August myself to no avail Mike is always in a "meeting" or not in the office. It is now March of 2025 and we have not received anything from our 2023 amended return. After calling and complaining to front office. The receptionist told me, "All I can do is leave him another message that you called, but I cannot promise he will call you back." So clearly even his staff knows how in reliable he is. I was able to finally get a phone appt with Mike, but he never called. He actually called 1 week later but unfortunately I could not answer because I was in the middle of a meeting myself with my coworkers. This year I went to a new CPA and took my return from last year and the things he found were insane. Mike had come up with almost $10,000 of income on my taxes that I have no idea where it came from?! I highly suggest not going to Mike Strickland.

Mike Strickland prepared my business and personal returns for several years. Early on there were…read moreseveral minor issues that were not worth abandoning him (improperly filed state return, charging me $50 for asking for a PDF copy of return, address mismatch etc.). It should have been a warning. In February I received a past due notice from IRS that my 2015 federal return was done improperly. I alerted Mike who told me it was an error and I did not owe anything. I waited until after April 15th to allow him to get through his rush before I checked on the issue. After all he said I did not owe it. After 2 months of unanswered phone calls and emails I called and refused to get off hold. I waited 3 hours on hold. I was assured Mike would return my call. He did call back and told me the good news after reviewing my file I did not owe anything they actually owed me more money on the amended return he filed. It has since been another 3 months The IRS has nothing on file showing an amended return was filed and I am still getting threatening letters from the IRS. Mike is back to not answering my email and phone messages. I will spare you the four letter words and explicative. In a word useless. Seek competent help elsewhere. Avoid at all costs.
