There were several hard goods that were priced higher than they sell online. They had a pair of Vans shoes that sell online for $48, priced at $49. A glass clown from Mexico is priced at $39.49 though it sells for between $10-$30. While I understand a store needs to make money to stay in business, this is absolutely absurd and it will cause a loss of repeat shoppers. Please do better on your research and pricing.

As an experienced thrifter and reseller small towns are usually the best places to score vintage. I went in with high hopes of leaving with lots of goodies. I took my own bag but surprise, Maryland and Virginia Goodwill's do provide bags unlike Pa. Once inside I was greetly warmly by a lady probably in her mid 80's who was welcoming and rattled off the specials. This location was on the smaller size and had a room full of clothes, shoes, and a shelf of seasonal and just when I thought there was nothing else to see I discovered a room with everything else. This space felt unheated and was a little rough, like it was once a garage but it was full of housewares, electronics, linens, toys, and and small amount of furniture and bigger items. Along the walls were bags of misc and like items bundled together in bags. I've seen this done on thrifting videos but never live. Each bag was around $5 give or take depending on size. While the store was neat and organized this unheated space felt like an afterthought and wasn't as nice as the main store. Prices were alot higher than I'm used to in PA, but the quality was decent. I didn't see any damaged items. I also didn't see alot of the vintage I was expecting to find and walked out only with a goodie bag of crocheted doilys for $3.49 , taking a gamble that none were stained. Upon checking out I encountered the sweet older lady again, who was just as warm and friendly with her goodbye as she was her welcome. The world needs more people like her. Located in a strip mall, parking is easy, and the store is bigger on the inside than it looks on the out but still on the smaller side. It's set up like a boutique, has various depts just on a smaller scale. The displays are nicely arranged and the prices are like those of a yard sale. I didn't see anything damaged or not of good condition. There were a good bit of vintage, mostly glassware, and some larger funiture pieces. Clothing wasn't as plentiful, which was fine with me. The employees were friendly and helpful. All the housewares appeared to be washed, as the glass sparkled. Throughout the store is cages with cats, very lazy cats, who don't even get excited when you approach their habitat. Still it was fun trying to interact with them. The cashier mentioned that they let them loose to wonder the store at night. My bf thought the store stank, but I didn't smell anything and their cages were neat and tidy. Obviously the proceeds from this store benefit the animals, and you may even be able to adopt the cats that reside there on the spot. Apparently about 6 months ago the powers be decided that professional vintage dealers such as myself can only purchase 6 pieces of jewelry in a day. I live out of state and can only visit once a year. Bear in mind that this policy is poorly labeled - the tiny labels in the cases are at best 12 point font size. **Please note I am in a wheelchair and I couldn't see them. If there were counter signs I couldn't see them because of my mobility issues.** The clerk did tell me about the policy but I seriously thought he was joking! I've never been discriminated against as a dealer in 28 years of buying, selling and trading vintage. Plus who doesn't want to make money for your charity? The jewelry is actually very underpriced so you are hurting your nonprofit by not maximizing your sales. Educated professional dealers are your bread and butter. Do better!
