My trip to Chambersburg in Jan 2023 was one of those trips. With list in hand of all the places I planned to shop, the Hope Center was first due to the way I had my route mapped out. Located downtown, with metered street parking the parking was hard to secure due to it being the ice sculpture festival weekend. Hubby dropped me off. The inside is small, and not overly displayed or decorated. The workers are nice, elderly ladies who might be volunteers. Inventory was on the small side, as the space is not huge, but clean and organized. Pricing was really reasonable. The large display windows also have goods for sale and you're able to climb up and help yourself. They had a few small furniture pieces there as well. There were some vintage items, mostly glasswear that I was not interested in. Linens were lackluster and disappointing. I did not look at clothing, but what I did see was cheaper brands and dated styles, like Walmart quality. I scored a nice vintage plastic mirror for $8 and a few crochet doilies from the display window. The lady ahead of me had a lovely ombre pitcher and glass set from the 50's, also for $8. They even held my items while I shopped next door since the mirror was large, as there is another thrift store nearby. While I wouldn't make this a regular stop, I would stop again if in the area. Parking was a big issue, but maybe not so much when the festival isn't going on.

She was friendly and very helpful. The store is large with a wonderful selection of antiques, primitives, furniture and more. My mom and I loved everything! I think Mall is a bit of a push, but nonetheless, the number of booths and inventory they've fit in both the upstairs and downstairs sections was impressive. There were a couple vendors on site while we shopped who stopped by to say hello while we checked out their booths. Overall a pretty nice atmosphere to take one's time and find some good items. Pricing wise it is all over the place, the higher end (higher quality or rarity) items are priced accordingly. While there is a decent amount of expensive items there is also a good selection of affordable finds. I guess it all depends on the buyer's target items. The owner Deloris was super kind and went out of her way to help my fiance dig through new jewelry that came in. Didn't mind for a moment that we were there past closing. There is definitely pride in this shop! The shop is actually slightly larger than you would think..it has a back part if you keep going past the register. Don't mind the cute little pup as you go by..she has a shop dog. Very friendly and cute.
