It was crazy to watch the whole experience...would absolutely never do it myself, but all of you people that are dare devils would love the experience...one of our boys got super sick afterwards (motion sickness unfortunately even with Dramamine)...he was still happy he did it with his brother!! Everyone here seemed like they not only really enjoyed their job but were really good instructors! Very impressed!! Also if you have dogs bring them! They have a nice big open area made for dogs...wish we would have know! They also have toys for 5 & under! Cute souvenir shop that has affordable shirts which I really appreciated!!

AMAZING experience for one of my 20-something birthdays!!…read more If you're an adrenaline junkie like me, skydiving is for you- there's no other feeling like it and it's such a thrill. My past hs physics teacher Rob Black and his crew were so cool to dive with and made my friends' and my 1st time memorable. First you go through an educational part so you know the play by play of what's to come. Then you change into a cool flight suit, parachute pack, goggles. Next thing you know you're boarding a little plane ascending 13k feet to the clouds. I'll never forget the launch- my tandem instructor and I sat at the edge of the plane opening, he goes "Ready, 1...." And then he hurled us both out! I was expecting for us to go at "3!" Free fall was such a freeing experience - I was flying! I was on top of the world and remember seeing little squares of green, brown on the ground and the wind flapping my cheeks. I will never forget that feeling. Then 3 taps and the parachute emerged and we soared and eventually floated down and landed. Recommend getting the package with the pics and video so you can relive the experience! I was on a high the rest of the day and still remember this experience vividly several years later. Highly recommend Skydance!

All the staff were beyond friendly and didn't hesitate to answer all my questions without judgement. They were so kind and Greg was a fucking GOAT like he talked me through the entire experience and ensured i felt safe and comfortable at all times. His instructions were clear and it made the experience super smooth and real chill. Greg if ur seeing this please drop ur venmo so i can send a tip bc i didnt have cash on me for ur tip. everything was AMAZING!!

Can finally check off skydiving from my bucket list!…read more My friends and I came here twice but were only able to skydive once. The first time we came was when there was a fire incident (not their fault), causing the airport to be shutdown. Thankfully, we were able to jump the second time we came. Upon arriving, you are required to fill out a waiver and watch a video about safety and onboarding. If you are over 200 lbs, be prepared to pay $1 per lb. The first time we came, the person helping us said that we could decide to purchase the photos/videos after recording them, since we were unsure whether we wanted them. The second time we came, they didn't allow us to do that and made us pay upfront. When we came to skydive, they were quite behind schedule. Our reservation was at 12 pm, but we didn't start until 1 pm. They can only bring up 2 people at a time due to the size of the plane, so if you're coming with a large group, expect to go in pairs. Each pair took around 30-45 minutes; we finished all our jumps around 2:45 pm. The skydiving experience itself was AMAZING! My instructor was Gus, who was super chill and explained to me all the instructions. I loved his enthusiasm and he made me feel so calm yet excited to jump. Greg is the other instructor, and he is also very detailed in his explanations. The plane ride up was smooth, although it's a bit tight and there are no seats. You get a nice view of the city and north bay once you're up in the air. You climb up to around 9000 in altitude, before the first person goes in their tandem skydive. At the end of your skydive, you get a certificate. If you want to get a skydiving license, you have to dive 25 times, and this counts as one of the dives. If this is your first time skydiving, I'd encourage you to get the video/photos to look back on. The whole thing goes by so fast. The video was a bit cringe to film and watch back, but I don't have any regrets getting it. It is $100 if you want either video or photos or $140 for both. The photos are just stills from the video, so it's bit pricey to pay an extra $40 on top for both. Overall, I had a fun time skydiving with Skydive Golden Gate. The instructors and staff were great, and the whole experience was thrilling and certainly gave me an adrenaline rush. The main downsides were the delays in schedule and the pricing for photos/videos. That being said though, I would still come back here and jump again!

I did my very first tandem skydive at NorCal Skydiving 18 years ago. Last July, I came back with my…read moredaughter and I did my second tandem, she did her first--and we immediately fell in love with skydiving & knew we wanted more. One month later, we did another jump at NorCal and expressed our desire to continue. Tyler & Jim explained the process of getting licensed and by then we knew there was no turning back. We started our AFF classes because we knew skydiving was something we wanted to keep doing... and we wanted to get licensed to jump alone. Tyler and everyone at NorCal Skydiving have been absolutely incredible. From day one, they've been supportive, motivational, and genuinely encouraging. Safety is clearly a top priority, and the team is always honest, fair, and professional while still making the entire experience fun and empowering. This is the kind of place that makes you believe in yourself and pushes you--safely and responsibly--to do things you never thought you could. I truly cannot recommend NorCal Skydiving enough. If you're even thinking about skydiving, this is where you want to be!!!

About a dozen of us jumped together, while other friends and family came along to cheer us on. It was truly one of the best family outings ever. The weather was perfect, the atmosphere was relaxed and fun, and the entire staff made the day unforgettable. From start to finish, every instructor and team member was not only highly professional and experienced, but also welcoming, funny, and able to put even the most nervous among us completely at ease. They took the time to check in with each of us about our comfort levels and gave us the choice to either soar gently like a bird or try out some more daring stunts -- always safe, but always exciting. I want to give a special shout-out to Tyler, my instructor, who made my first jump feel natural, safe, and completely exhilarating. Also to Jim, who wasn't working that day but hung out with us, shared amazing stories, and made us feel like part of the NorCal Skydiving family. What a pleasure to meet him! I honestly didn't know what to expect and thought I'd be terrified once I was up in the plane, but instead my fears disappeared and I was able to embrace the entire experience. The mix of freedom, serenity, and sheer accomplishment is something I'll never forget. If you've ever thought about skydiving, do it -- and do it here. NorCal Skydiving gave us one of the best days of our lives. I can't recommend them highly enough and I will definitely be back.

We drove to iFly Roseville from Sonoma County for my son's birthday. I wasn't sure what to expect,…read morebut we were greeted warmly and brought into the main area to get suited up. Our instructor was John-Felix, although he goes by John. My son is 22 and fairly athletic, so I figured that he'd enjoy it. What I was less prepared for was how much I loved it! It is a fairly expensive hobby, although, if you're on-site after paying for a session, they have more reasonable rates if you want to buy additional sessions. Since we don't live locally, I didn't indulge in one of the packages, despite the temptation. They walk you through everything clearly and there's a brief training class in a classroom after which we waited our turn on the perimeter while we were called up one at a time. Each "flight" was approximately 1 minute and 20 seconds and we each got two flights. We all passed on the high flight option, but during our second time they walked us through how to begin navigating in the wind tunnel during our turn. That was my favorite part! I found it fascinating feeling the degree to which small modifications in the angle of my hands or the extension of my arms changed my position and movement in the air. I felt like a bird. The flights are brief, but memorable and meant to resemble the length of time usually experienced during a skydiving jump. We didn't pay for the high flights, but we enjoyed our experience nonetheless. Our instructor was encouraging and helpful. At the end, he did a quick demonstration of the types of tricks that can be done with training, all sorts of spins and flips! Already considering when we can make it back again. * Word to the wise, my kids both have long hair and they both ended up wishing they'd had it tucked into their suits since it got significantly tangled and required quite a lengthy communion with a hairbrush afterward to get the tangles out. I think a braid might also be a good option.

I initially asked the staff whether he would qualify for a special needs or disabled flight at a future visit because I honestly didn't think there would be room or that it would be possible. They immediately reassured me that he could fly, and I figured we'd come back another time. Then something really special happened. Even though Lex doesn't attend the same school as my daughters that were there on a field trip (he goes to a different school with a special education program), the school approached me and offered us an extra spot. I said yes, not really knowing what to expect. From that moment on, the staff was incredible, kind, patient, gentle, and completely accommodating. They treated Lex with dignity and enthusiasm, not hesitation. He got to fly twice, and he absolutely loved it. When he finished, everyone clapped and cheered for him, and it was one of those moments you don't forget as a parent. I can't say enough good things about the experience. If you're a special needs family and wondering whether your child will truly be included and supported here, the answer is yes. I highly, highly recommend iFLY.

I did get cancelled on a few times, I was at first annoyed, instant gratification junky, but then realized they have no control over the weather AND safety comes first. That earned my respect right there. We met at the site at 6 am, not 6:01 or 6:12, 6am or before. Temperature plays a huge role in height and duration of flight. On time and safety are expected and delivered. At 6 sharp the ride started with tip over training, safety, and a brief roll call and waiver check and explanation. Important stuff! The balloon is beautiful and the pilots wife makes sure there are plenty of pics, she's super sweet and helpful. Takeoff is a bit disorienting, part helicopter, part jump. Once you hit the sky though, it's amazing. It is such a great feeling to float. Tim has a great sense of humor and can tell a story with gusto... between bursts of fire into the balloon. I have no idea how high we were but cows were hard to make out, they were that small. The morning couldn't have been more perfect. The landing was a bit bumpy, our training came in handy. Jarring like an old truck indoors a rough road, easy. As we waited for the truck to come and get us Tim gave us a wee history lesson on ballooning, with a champagne toast. I've been smiling all day. Independent and local, experienced and a perfect way to fly. Highly recommended is an understatement.
