Can finally check off skydiving from my bucket list! My friends and I came here twice but were only able to skydive once. The first time we came was when there was a fire incident (not their fault), causing the airport to be shutdown. Thankfully, we were able to jump the second time we came. Upon arriving, you are required to fill out a waiver and watch a video about safety and onboarding. If you are over 200 lbs, be prepared to pay $1 per lb. The first time we came, the person helping us said that we could decide to purchase the photos/videos after recording them, since we were unsure whether we wanted them. The second time we came, they didn't allow us to do that and made us pay upfront. When we came to skydive, they were quite behind schedule. Our reservation was at 12 pm, but we didn't start until 1 pm. They can only bring up 2 people at a time due to the size of the plane, so if you're coming with a large group, expect to go in pairs. Each pair took around 30-45 minutes; we finished all our jumps around 2:45 pm. The skydiving experience itself was AMAZING! My instructor was Gus, who was super chill and explained to me all the instructions. I loved his enthusiasm and he made me feel so calm yet excited to jump. Greg is the other instructor, and he is also very detailed in his explanations. The plane ride up was smooth, although it's a bit tight and there are no seats. You get a nice view of the city and north bay once you're up in the air. You climb up to around 9000 in altitude, before the first person goes in their tandem skydive. At the end of your skydive, you get a certificate. If you want to get a skydiving license, you have to dive 25 times, and this counts as one of the dives. If this is your first time skydiving, I'd encourage you to get the video/photos to look back on. The whole thing goes by so fast. The video was a bit cringe to film and watch back, but I don't have any regrets getting it. It is $100 if you want either video or photos or $140 for both. The photos are just stills from the video, so it's bit pricey to pay an extra $40 on top for both. Overall, I had a fun time skydiving with Skydive Golden Gate. The instructors and staff were great, and the whole experience was thrilling and certainly gave me an adrenaline rush. The main downsides were the delays in schedule and the pricing for photos/videos. That being said though, I would still come back here and jump again! read more

WOW just WOW! My daughters booked the tandem skydive for February and this was rye scariest adventure that they had planned on partaking in! We prepaid and when the day arrived I was ALL THE NERVES! We arrived and they were alll nervous too . It's in northMarin county at the airport. Arrive , paperwork , video! Then Samuel one of the instructors arrives from his latest and he helps set the girls up in their gear . We order photos and videos etc etc Process is smooth and we literally see the guy roll the parachute back on the back pack. This is amazing too see. That's literally his only job but a very important job! We take lots of pics and videos and head outside . Lots of hugs and kisses and more hugs and kisses! The fam all watch on the deck as the girls head to the teeny plane and enter and head to their first skydive ! The plane takes off and I am praying praying praying ! We watch the plane as it flies up up away . Luckily it's a beautiful clear sunny day! The plane is now out of sight and we are patiently waiting . They travel up to 9000 feet and that's when the good fun begins! As we are looking in the horizon we get a nudge from the owner/manager and he says look UP! Just as we look they are free falling me finally the parachutes open .. phew!!! Big sigh of relief and the girls glide down and land safely ! There's a reason this place has five stars. It's because they are amazing in every way. There's an easy check in process then you sign forms and watch a video before suiting up to skydive. The instructors are full of energy and very friendly. They talk you through what'll happen in the air and make sure to ease any nerves you may have. It's a bit of a tight squeeze in the aircraft for two instructors and two students. You spend about 30 seconds free falling before releasing the parachute. The staff made sure everything ran smoothly and you can tell they really love what they do and try their best to make sure everyone has a fun time. read more

What an amazing experience today!! And boy did I need it. It was much more than I had expected. The almost end-to-end view of the Bay Area from the sky is unbeatable for me as a local in awe of where we live. I even was anxious about getting nauseated flying in a small plane, but that was not the case at all once you look out the window. I literally felt like a bird!! Despite the initial feeling of being overwhelmed, I promise it is all worth it to even try once in your life. I do recommend the photos and video as well (thank you Michael!!) so that you can remember and relive the experience. At SkyDive Golden Gate, you instantly feel safe and at ease even for me as a first-time jumper because of their professionalism, accommodations, and experience. I was VERY nervous to go to this. I really got it for my fiancee and somehow got dragged along but thought I would be happy I did it after the fact. My fiancee went with Carson who went over instructions, got us prepped and ready beforehand. He did an amazing job answering all my (probably dumb) questions and made me feel pretty comfortable. We were also able to watch others jump and see them come back pretty stoked. I went with Joel who handled me extremely well being as nervous as I was. He made me feel very calm and as relaxed as I could be. I actually had a lot of fun doing it - something you'll never experience unless you do it! Afterward I felt a bit nauseous so I would recommend eating something (trail mix, protein bar, etc.) to avoid this. Definitely would recommend! read more

I went skydiving for my birthday last year Sep 2019. I did the tandem skydiving and it was my first time doing it. I was excited to get it off my bucket list! I had initially bought the video+ picture package online and my friend only got the skydive package, no pics or videos. Check in went well, there wasn't a long line or anything like that. We were strapped up quite easily. My friend's instructor(I think he's name was Jordan) gave my friend instructions after strapping him up. I on the other hand wasn't given any instructions after being strapped up. I guess my instuctor forgot or he figured I listened in to Jordan's instructions. No worries, I did ask my friend to go over the instructions with me. We both got on to the plane with our instructors. Since the plane is small, we both had to seat in between the legs of our instructors. This also helps the instructors hook us up to them. It was then that my instructor realized that he misplaced the camera. He panicked and was super stressed out. He asked us all if he had seen the camera, but we all last saw him with it when he got on the plane. After that, no one had seen it. We were already flying high so there was no way for him to get off and check if he dropped it on the ground. There goes my $120 package . I was super uncomfortable whenever he was looking for the camera. I was roughly handled. I kid you not I felt like a bag of potatoes being tossed about. I get he was stressed out, and I made it a point not to question about my refund at that moment because he was stressed out . That still didn't give him the ok, to toss me about. Jordan (friend's instructor) did try to get him to calm down and not stress out. He was definitely the professional one and friendly one. My instructor eventually calmed down and hooked me back to himself. I said a prayer in my heart. He eventually apologized for losing the camera and told me that I could talk to the receptionist about getting $40 back for the pics and videos I wasn't going to get. My instructor gave me instructions just before we jumped off the plane. Getting off the plane was scary but it was the best experience ever! I had a great time looking out on the landscape. It was breathtaking! I was definitely able to see the golden state bridge. I loved it! My instructor let me fly the parachute for a little bit. That was fun. My friend tOld me Jordan also let him do flips in the air with him and he loved it. When we got off the plane I talked to Mike the owner and he gave me a great deal. He personally strapped me up and was my instructor. My friend also got go up again with us and he decided to keep Jordan as his instructor coz he liked him. Mike took plenty of pics and my friend also got the picture package too. Mike was super nice and friendly and definitely made up the previous mishap. He gave us a little geographical history on the landscape. We're not locals, so we definitely appreciated it! I flew twice in one day and I would definitely recommend this place! read more

A thrilling experience. We fell from the sky with Ronnie and Rich this past Saturday morning. Both are excellent instructors. This organization is focused on both skydive safety and customer enjoyment. Comfortable (as much as you can get in a small plane) 15-minute flight up to 10,000 feet. After prep and final safety check, Ronnie and I "left" the aircraft directly above Gnoss Field Airport. WHAT A RUSH (wished it could have lasted longer). It was a gorgeous day...I could see the SF skyline and the Golden Gate Bridge. After the chute deployed (about 5,000 feet), Ronnie passed me the steering lines and I controlled a few left/right turns on our descent. As we neared the landing area, Ronnie took back control and touched us down (smoother landing than I expected). I was ready to do it again! What a rush! I can relive some of the thrill through the pictures and video (worth the expense). I cannot over endorse this place. Professional staff. Safety conscious. They want you to have a great time/experience. I'm sure you will. read more

Can't say enough about Skydive GG. I came in solo on a weekday afternoon, nervous as ever (I have been putting this experience off for several years out of fear), and the team made me feel incredibly comfortable. Everything from the paperwork to the demonstrations was seamless. Location is optimal; close to SF Proper but far enough where Karl the (SF) Fog doesn't follow you into Marin, so the weather is usually pretty amazing. Views from the jump are incredible. My only complaint is I wish the experience wouldn't end; before you know it, you're back on the ground. I told myself I would never skydive after today, and that this is a do-it-once-and-that's-it thing, but after my experience with Skydive GG, there is no question that I'll be back. We dived on a sunday morning which i definitely recommend,less stressful driving up to Novato Airport. My wife and i jumped with Mike and Bryan respectively. From the greetings to leaving everyone were professional and quick to answer any questions we had. It was a well oiled machine, everyone had a part to play including us the divers. Instructions were nice and short. We went up in the air to experience in my opinion one of the best views of the city by the bay the G gate. Final checks, thumbs up and the door opens and all the instructions went blank, after a few deep breaths and tears we jumped. It was very exhilarating experience this first few moments. Then we slowed down, smoothed out and floated taking in the views. Landing was a little rough but we survived with minor dings. Back to the warehouse to sign out, pick up our pics n vids. Quick notes: 1. They accommodate people that are over 200lbs( like myself) $1 per pound over 200. 2. Store jewellery,wallets, watches,phones, keys away safely in your cars as storage space is limited at the office. 3. They have lots of parking. 4. Restrooms are upstairs, good idea to go before leave solid ground. 5. Know that seating in the airplane is tight but you are not here a comfort tour. 6. You can purchase pics and vid on a USB card for additional $5. 7. On a Personal note you MIGHT have minor chaffing from being strapped tight for safety reasons. All in all a great spot for skydiving location,location,location and easy to book via phone. 5 Stars from me. read more

Never been before and I decided to surprise my boyfriend with this. It was a wonderful experience! Though we had a bit of a complication with scheduling, they were very accommodating and talk to us about it. They explained it was a great day for a jump and they didn't lie! We loved it!! I went to Skydive Golden Gate on Monday for my birthday. My work colleagues kidnapped me and we end up at a Skydive center, so it was quite a surprise! Everyone from the owner to the 2 instructors (Robbie and William) to the pilot, to the woman who was packing the parachutes were excellent. Even the little dogs were friendly! Heights aren't my favorite and I was a bit nervous. They made me feel incredibly safe and comfortable. Most importantly, it was fun and quite a rush. My friend randomly invited me to go skidiving and at first I was going to pass since I've actually gone before(different place), but I'm so glad I decided to go!! My experience here doesn't compare to the first time I've gone skydiving. Sure it was fun, but you guys made the whole experience SO much better! Went here for my 26th birthday. The whole entire experience was pleasant. I was nervous and excited as heck but Mikey was super comforting the entire time. The whole process does take a while (filling out papers and flying to the jump spot) but it's all worth it. The view is AMAZING. I know I was debating whether to get photos/videos so for anyone else debating about it, get both. It's a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity (well, for some) so cherish every moment! This was a great experience from the moment we arrived. The area is so beautiful and serene which definitely helps when you know you're about to jump out of a perfectly good airplane. Upon arrival, I met with Mikey the owner and he was very friendly and accommodating, as were the other members of staff. They even had a barbecue going, offering me a delicious looking burger which I had to decline for the time being. As excited as I was, I was a little nervous and so food wasn't the first thing on my mind. I'll rephrase that last line, I was VERY nervous but again after speaking to Mikey and getting the safety briefing, I knew I was in good hands. This fellow, by the way, has over 20,000 skydives (yes, twenty thousand!). The plane ride up was spectacular, the surroundings are breathtaking and I would even go as far as saying that the plane ride was worth the price of admission. Mikey explained everything to me as we went up so I always felt like I knew what was happening and what was about to come. Once we got to altitude, what followed was one of the greatest experiences of my life, I still think about it everyday. The freefall was like nothing I had ever experienced before, the wind rushing past your face and once the parachute opened it was complete calm. The parachute ride was something I hadn't considered much when I thought about doing a skydive but it's like having your own private hot air balloon experience. Floating in complete calm, taking in the breathtaking views. We landed safely and I thanked Mikey for the life changing experience. My appetite had returned and the offer of a freshly cooked burger was still there. Not a great experience. We had a group of six and they failed to tell us that they would only have two instructors and would have to go up 2 at a time. This made the whole process take a lot longer and totally killed the group activity vibe. On top of that it was two times as expensive as my previous jump in Lodi. We were suppose to get $10 off each for our group but they wouldn't honor that because I was using a card?! Their video service is janky as well. Instead of a separate jumper they have the guy with your life in his hands also trying to make a video with a camera attached to his arm. Don't worry though... the best part is waiting another 45 mins for the lady processing your video to do so as she also doubles as the welcome desk and you better believe they prioritize the money walking through the door over the cash they already heisted from you. This place is clearly in fake it til they make it mode... my advice seek out a professional establishment. I would like a refund please?! As you can see by the owners response he doesn't deny in any way that they aren't really operating properly. Your services are less then the competitors and cost more... I don't want to sky dive at a hastily thrown together Mom and Pop shop!! If that's what you got you should be sure to advertise as such and charge less while you try and develop your biz.... At the least you could disclose that you can't handle a group of six when the reservation is made. I was the most disappointed of the group and so am not asking for a refund for everyone... read more

Amazing experience! My SO and I went to Skydive GG this past weekend for his birthday. Neither of us had ever skydived before, so I was a little nervous. The location is tucked away in a quaint little airport in Novato. After signing all the necessary liability waivers, we were introduced to our tandem instructors, Rich and Robby, who set us up with all our gear. They were funny, easy going, and eased our worries before we headed out to the plane. All in all, our experience took just over an hour. After check in and gear set up, we walked out to our plane and headed out. The flight to our dive spot took about 15 minutes, and the view was amazing. Rich and Robby did a great job giving us a little tour of the valley, from Napa to the Golden Gate bridge. We didn't opt for the photo or video, but that actually let me enjoy the view/dive without having to look and smile at a camera the whole time. For anyone looking to do their first dive, go to Skydive Golden Gate!! Rich and Robby went through each and every step of our dive about a dozen times before we actually jumped out of the plane. By the time we were up in the air, I felt confident and understood every step to our jump. Will definitely go back to Skydive Golden Gate if we dive again!
