There was little to no structure, and children ran wild with minimal supervision while staff stood around chatting. My 1 yr old spent her days in an overcrowded infant room with little space to play. On one occasion, I even witnessed a teacher openly berating another staff member in front of the children. Completely unprofessional and inappropriate behavior. And now here we are, months after withdrawing my children, I am still receiving bills, now totaling over $5,000, for care that never occurred. These invoices are for dates long after my children stopped attending. Despite reaching out multiple times, the daycare has refused to take responsibility or fix the problem. They've repeatedly blamed their billing system, yet when I contacted the company directly, I was told the issue is entirely on the daycare's end. Their lack of accountability and professionalism is completely unacceptable. I strongly urge other parents to think twice before trusting this center with their children or their money.

The infant/toddler room staff Kisha, Stacy and Lorna are fantastic with my son, and the other kids. You can tell they truly care and he is happy to be dropped off with them each day. They even have an app they updates me with pictures, meal times, and diaper changes so i know what's going on with him. JOC is loving, nurturing, and educational in a way that goes above and beyond what we expected from a preschool. What brought us here primarily was meeting older children who had attended and exhibited amazing social skills and who played so kindly with our younger son. Also, their schedule. Our son stopped napping at 2.5 and was having to nap or have quiet time for 2+ hours at such an early time at every other school. This school does their full programming until 2 pm every day then just does an hour of rest from 2:30-3:30. (We don't do the extended day option and pick him up at 2:15, so he's there from about 9-2:15). That's so much more appropriate for his development and age, and is so much better for us as parents than most preschools offer. It's the perfect balance for us. They've also been so accommodating and wonderful in helping us choose the right schedule and days of week for him to attend. In the year he's been here, he has absolutely blossomed and come to love school. He is learning concepts and skills that I'm realizing many children don't encounter until kindergarten, and we're so proud of the knowledge, work, and projects he brings home each day. I only wish we had started him here sooner, and I am genuinely sad as we approach graduation. The school is run by twin sisters who are true gems -- kind, dedicated, and deeply invested in every child. Alecia and Elaine create a warm, family-like atmosphere where each child is seen, valued, and loved. They tell the children daily how special they are and how much they are loved, and I've seen his confidence and heart grow as a result. The entire teaching team has been wonderful and steady, which speaks volumes about the culture they've built. I especially appreciate the mixed 3-5 year old classroom model. The older children learn leadership and compassion, while the younger ones are inspired and supported. It has been such a gift for our son's social and emotional development. The style and format of the program truly fit him and have helped him thrive. They also have a well organized program and schedule with lots of time outdoors. Lunch & snacks are also provided, which is so helpful for us. He rarely ate his lunch when I packed it for him before, but eating the same thing as everyone else together ensures he is nourished every day. Communication with parents is excellent. We feel included, informed, and welcomed to provide feedback or ask questions. There are really beautiful, big events and meaningful opportunities for parent engagement, which has helped us feel connected to his school life. They just did a sweetheart coffee with daddy's and it was so precious - they learned sweet songs and had a beautiful moment in appreciation of dads and dad stand-ins. Their Christmas show was also spectacular. We still sing many of the songs they learned. They also do a field trip walk to the park day and several events that allow for parent participation in fun and balanced ways. After touring and trying many preschools across Folsom, El Dorado Hills, Cameron Park, and surrounding areas, we can honestly say this one stands out in every possible way. We commute 20 minutes each way, and it is absolutely worth it. I truly cannot recommend this school highly enough. My kids are always fed on time and never miss a snack and there aren't TV's in most rooms so not sure what that other reviewer is referring too. I have a 1 year old and a 3 year old at the school. My 1 year old loves going so much she knows when I pull in the parking lot and just starts saying "hi, hi, hi" and then gets really excited. My 3 year old loves everyone there, his favorite is Ms. Dena, who pushes him to learn new things each day. She has done wonders with potty training him. My 1 year old has mild hearing loss and wears hearing aids, the staff does their best to keep them in. Ms. Debbie is close to fluent in American Sign Language and signs with her and teaches the other kids ASL. She loves the teachers in the baby room but her favorite person is Miss Hill. My 3 year old has Down syndrome and goes to a different preschool in the San Juan district in the mornings and a bus drops him off right at nap time and they are always there waiting for him. He is often extra hungry when he wakes up from his nap and they make sure he's fed. He's included in all activities and never feels left out or excluded. He started at RSG at 18 months, his peers influences have helped him learn to walk, feed himself, play independently on the playground, talk and potty train. All the teachers and staff have learned some ASL so they can communicate effectively with him since that is also his main form of communication. Ms. Ally is always a pleasure to see, she and Ms. Veronica always greet everyone with a smile making pick up and drop off very pleasant. Sure some teachers haven't been that great but no one can hire perfect employees for every position. I recommend Ready Set Go every chance I get.

Though I would rather give this establishment 1 star, I cannot due to the simple fact that I only…read morehave an issue with one staff member. On 10/7/21, my 9 year-old daughter came out fairly distraught. She brought it to my attention that the staff member, Jorge, threw a small bead from about 10' away at my daughters face. It hit roughly 1" from her left eyeball, which in turn left a welt/mark on her upper cheek. With the training and schooling child care providers receive, it is absolutely unacceptable for any adult/provider to throw, touch, flick, pinch, etc. to ANY child. I brought the incident up to Jorge - he was dismissive and said it was an "accident." Realistically, you cannot lob something from 10' away "accidentally" and leave a mark. I also spoke to Ms. Hill about the matter after asking who I could file a personal complaint with about Jorge. She specified herself as that person. I expressed my concerns and she was understanding, stating she would speak with him. I am also filing a complaint with CDSS about the incident because as stated above these staff members received training and schooling to earn these positions, licenses and certificates. Nowhere on page 11 of the Parent Handbook: Behavior Management & Discipline Policy (or any other page for that matter) does it state that the care provider is able to use any type of physical force whether that be any of the aforementioned methods. If you choose to take your school aged children here, be cautious about the individual Jorge. I'm a concerned father/parent that strives for the safety of not only my children, but all children alike. A daycare should be a safe place for all children, and a place that concerned parents trust. Once again, this is directed towards an individual and not the establishment as a whole.
