We've had such a positive experience with all of the teachers here. The entire team is caring, attentive, and clearly passionate about what they do. It's such a comforting feeling knowing your child is in an environment where they are supported, encouraged, and genuinely cared for every day. The communication is great, and you can tell that the staff truly values each family. Every teacher our youngest daughter has had has been so special to us. We especially want to give a shoutout to Mrs. Veronica in K1, who cared for our youngest daughter. She is warm, personable, and incredibly thoughtful in the way she connects with kids. She really took the time to understand our daughter inside and out, which meant so much to us as parents. Mrs. Veronica was also always available whenever we had questions or needed anything, and she was so understanding during those moments when we forgot extra clothes or little essentials. Our daughter has been going to Action Day El Quito for almost a year now and we could not love it more!! The staff in the infant center are incredible, from the directors to the teachers themselves. We've experienced the K5/K6 classrooms and they are incredible with 1-2 year olds. We get pictures every day from the app, as well as detailed summaries of their day, and our baby is learning so much!! They have activities every day to keep high enrichment, which is awesome. We've had such a wonderful experience at Action Day. The teachers are super nice, patient, and genuinely care about the kids. A big shout-out to Ikbal -- she has been so kind and supportive with our son, Leo. Leo had a difficult time adjusting to bottle feeding at first, but the teachers were incredibly patient and helped him transition smoothly to bottle and pacifier. They always take the time to comfort him and make sure he's happy and well cared for. My son started in Room 1 and had wonderful teachers, Ms.Amanda and Ms. Stephanie and Ms. Claudia. They really took the time to care for my baby. They gave him amazing care and were genuine. The way they cared for my baby and all the others is amazing. My favorite is all the fun art activities they do with their hand prints and foot prints. I'm shocked but so happy at how much my son loves this school. He previously went to Starbright but we weren't happy there. He dreaded school. Cried every morning. Accidents would happen. I never got reports there, was barely able to talk to any of his teachers, etc. It was bad. Finally had enough after some other moms complained, so we pulled him out of Starbright. My husband then finds this gem. Yes, my son cried at drop off on the very first day, but was thrilled to go back to school every day after!! He loves school now!!!! It's amazing. They send him home with progress reports. We've yet to have any accidents (knock on wood). I can freely check in on him or talk to his teachers. I love this school too. I genuinely think it's great. Sent my daughter to action day backup care through bright horizon in June. First day my daughter came back and say someone hit her one her head, I got nothing report from the teacher. The next day, school called me for an ouch report, saying my daughter and someone else both want to sit somewhere and the other kid scratched my daughter on the face. My daughter was scared and has a lot of anxiety that day when she come back, she said the other kid was trying to take her seat and scratched her. I called director of the school, they apologized and said this kind of things just happen for this age. Actually my daughter was on a regular school and they never had such issue. The director said she will investigate and call me back. I got no call back till now. Will never send my daughter to this school again. They have tens of kids in the same classroom during drop off time, merging several classes together, not sure if it follows the rule or not, makes me feel dangerous as anything can happens with such high student teacher ratio. read more

We started at ADS with our first daughter when she was around 6 months old. Almost immediately we formed a close connection with her teachers in Room 3 and looked forward to the pictures and hand written "report cards" they would hand out at the end of the day. All the teachers we worked with were so kind and sweet to our daughter, which made it so much easier for us to separate with her for the day. They definitely took very special care of her -- one time she had a horrible open diaper rash with raw skin, and they not only hand washed her with water so the wipes didn't sting her but also recommended diaper creams that had worked for them. Now almost 2 years later, we've had to move to another city but our experience as our daughter moved throughout ADS was positive throughout all classrooms she was in. For the life of your child don't use them! 5 issues in one day happen to my kid, non of those issue were communicated over the phone or text, found out at the time of pickup. When I got to pick my child I was told: 1. My two year old switched to the El Quito campus after not meshing well with the 2 year old teachers at another location. He had been at the other school from around 12 months to around his 2nd birthday. When I started considering moving him to another campus, I took a tour of El Quito. Right away I felt like the the front office staff was warm and welcoming, and the classrooms and outdoor play area looked great. But what really sold me was one of the teachers in the K1 classroom, Ms. Ande. She seemed very calm and caring with her students and I knew he would love her. He was very shy at first but slowly began coming out of his shell as the weeks went by. As other reviewers have mentioned, there are some drawbacks at any Action Day campus because of the large class sizes, classroom changes in various parts of the day, and challenges with communication since some teachers are not there at pick-up time. It makes checking in on a personal level (above and beyond the little sheets that let you know about meals, potty, etc) a bit difficult. But overall the staff really goes above and beyond to care for the children at the school. read more

I do have great concern regarding the inconsistent staffing that my family has seen over the last year! It started with the complete overhaul of staff with the management & office staff. There was no warning with zero communication until after the many changes took place. Several new faces walking in & out of the office and we had/have no idea who they are and what involvement these strangers have with my child. Here we are again, only a short time later, my daughter looses her teacher, who she genuinely cares for and has spent the last 8 months building a trusting relationship with. We had no chance, again, to even say goodbye or thank you! As a parent, there has been zero communication with me until after the room 12 teacher voluntarily left or was forced to transfer. Has the school even considered what a significant loss this is to the children of room 12. Couldn't this have waited until the end of the school year. My child has been a full time child/student at ADPP El Quito for almost five years; just recently have I questioned some of the decisions made & untimely communication. read more

We are so grateful for the Action Day Infant Center and Preschool at El Quito. 2020 has been a hard year, and we are so grateful that the staff and teachers at Action have been there for us during the pandemic. The teachers are sweet and caring, and our children have blossomed under their care. Its hard to give someone a 1 star when they do so many things right and very few wrongs but after giving it due thoughtI will rate this place as "Eek! Me thinks not." (and of course I'm not sending my kids over at any ADPP anymore) My kids went to different Action Day Primary Schools for almost 7+ years. I can think "they used to be good, now they're just another business" - but I think things are wrong way deeper than that. As I said before, there are quite a few things ADPP has it right and I'd list them first Now before you read this I should mention my kids have done infant care, pre-K, K onwards and after school daycare at Moorpark, Amber and El Quito for more than 7 years so my review is no based upon just one day or one person interaction. The good: 1. They have plenty of toys for the little kids. Plenty! 2. Kids love to go there. I haven't had a single day in last 7 years that my kids did not want to go to ADP. In fact both my kids did not like it when I made the decision to call it quits with ADPP. 3. Most ADPP have bus services from the nearest public school which means if your kids go to a public school, they would pick them up for after-school day care. 4. Some of their teachers are really good at what they do and go out of their way (and even spend their own personal money) to make nice projects for kids. 5. Its nice to know that sometimes they would help your kids do their homework. Most of my good experience at ADPP schools was in infact/pre-K days; in fact the experience was so good that it took way too long for me to realize things weren't all that great anymore. Now onto the list of Eeks: 1. The best care your child receives is during infant care and it just keeps going downhill from there. 2. Multiple classes are combined way too frequently and you never know what your kid is doing on a given day until you go get them. 3. Unlike the formative years where the teachers take the time to teach kids, later classes are more like "just don't bother me." 4. There are way too many days that parents are called to come and get their kids for one reason or the other - even if extra clothes are already there. If you thought you can work all day because your child is in a full day care - you'd be surprised way too often. 5. The school has a little lice problem and their solution? To send the kids home and blame them for everything. On the subject of lice - this school has a no-nit policy; it doesn't matter you treated your kids or not; they're staying home with you while you pay the school for at least 2 weeks! - lice or not. Nit or not. 6. When teachers are not interested in learning but want to tell you what their grandma advised them -- you know its time to find someplace better. 7. Some teachers here would like you to think that they know everything in the world and you (parent) do not know anything. I have some news for the teachers - Some parents actually do know better, some are still learning, some are always learning and most parents understand that self-correction is always acceptable. 8. Why should someone from company X get 50% off their tuition fee when someone else from company Y gets 5% off? If they really did this thing right, they wouldn't be looking for excuses for more money all the time. 9. Speaking of which - if ADPP needs money, they should just ask it upfront, not try to make money by partnering with random/questionable companies and using kids as a front for referrals. 10. They can make a rule overnight and send the kids home. At ADPP, there does not seem to be a need to send an advance notice they do not put up anything on their website - its literally "parents need to follow whatever rules we come up with, anytime." 11. If ADPP uses a pesticide, germicide or anything that intends to kill anything - parents need to know. It wasn't until the lice problem was disclosed that we were told they spray their buses twice everyday with something. Yikes! At this rate, they're going to be making super-lice very soon. After all the nice things I thought I was getting at ADPP I realized - that was in the past - the kids are just going there to play, they are not learning anything (at least in the day care), they're not even doing their homework and not getting even the basic things corrected.In addition they're learning the wrong things - to treat other kids like they're going to give them the creeps. No thank you - Its 7 years already to late but I need to find some other place. read more

I have a kid in the junior-K program (the more educational version). The teachers are fairly experienced, and they do a lot of worksheets. My son enjoys the school. BUT they have difficulty with discipline. My kid was bitten, more than once (at age 5!) And the front office's response was "we can't tell you anything, and if you don't like it, just leave." If my kid continues to be hit & bitten, we're going to have to leave. Which is a bummer, because he really is advancing well with his writing and math skills. We had the same problem when he attended this school years ago (when he was 2). I was hoping that they had better discipling at older ages. Clearly not. Be very careful when considering whether to take your child here. 5 stars for environment. Great playground right next to a park, and no cars nearby 4 stars for education. The kids are definitely learning, although they are in lock step so if your kid is well ahead they will be bored. 0 stars for discipline. You cannot allow kids to hit and bite. My son is in the infant room, so I cannot speak for the toddler rooms. The teachers are loving and caring, and my son loves it there. There are tons of toys and activity centers. They accommodate all sorts of cloth diapers which is very important for us. They also respect whatever request you have. There are two things I don't like. They send kids from other rooms to the youngest infant room when the teacher/children ratio is low in the infant room. They also rotate teachers from other rooms to help out. So infants are exposed to many kids and teachers throughout the day. They maintain the teacher/infant ratio as always, but all these rotations make colds go around very fast. My son is sick every other week in winter, and I'm not kidding. I know babies get sick at the daycare a lot, but in most other daycares I visit, they don't rotate kids/teachers around, so I imagine germs don't spread that bad in other facilities. The second thing is because they rotate other teachers in, not all the caregivers know everything about my son at all times. Most of the time it's ok, but when you have special requests you're never sure if all caregivers will follow. For the most part, the price is reasonable, the environment is open and doesn't smell, and they're accommodating. So I give them 4 stars. read more

This review is solely for their infant program. I visited this school and fell in love with the campus. Its an actual school campus (used to be an elementary school) versus how some preschools are office buildings or homes converted. Furthermore, the location is in a nice Saratoga neighborhood. I really liked how the school's infant programs is done by development. There's a room for the young ones, a room for crawlers, a room for walkers, and a room for 1.5 year olds. This is great because some kids may develop faster than other kids and everyone's at a different pace. Having separated rooms and different teachers can ensure that your child is advancing continuously versus waiting. Many schools hold a strict schedule based on age and does not transition the kids until they are old enough to go to the next level. To us, the developmental approach is much better as it really helps the more advanced kids to learn and catch on even faster. Pricewise its really no different than other schools. But they are very flexible with the hours and days of the week - which is important for us. After interacting with their infant director Morgan... made me want to enroll my child in the infant program even more. Morgan is a very very responsive person and very knowledgeable about everything. She always answered our calls and emails promptly and always ensured that we got everything we needed to know. I think attention to detail and attention to parents are especially important for infants. I must say though I would prob rate the 2+ programs around 3 because they are a play based semi-structured school. I want my kids to attend a more academic and learning based school when they are a little bit older. So while I think their infant program is great and very flexible, I think I would send my kid somewhere else for 2+. read more

We are thrilled that we found such a wonderful place for our daughter. She has been in the infant center for 8 months and has received excellent care in both the crawling and walking rooms. The teachers here are phenomenal and truly love their jobs and children. They always take the time to answer your questions and concerns. Morgan, the director, is fantastic and she answers emails quickly, is wonderful to work with, and is very flexible. Another huge pro is that your child can attend 1-5 days a week, half or full days and they are open from 6:30-6. Also, they are only closed on major holidays. We especially like that we get an information sheet each day about what our daughter ate, drank, when she slept and played outside, and wet/dirty diapers. In addition, they will occasionally email photographs of our daughter having fun at school and have a sweet anecdote of something she enjoyed each day. She is very sensitive and has separation anxiety and they have been very understanding and helpful. They also have fun family nights and parents night out each month. I tried this daycare for my 6 months old son .I toured the place and the facility looked great .Spacious rooms with light and the asst. director who toured the place explained things well .There was a promotion going on and we enrolled as one month was free. The first day was ok for my son and all the problems happened the second day . The class was filled with 12 kids and there were 3 teachers who were not able to manage the crying kids.one of the teacher was rocking a kid to sleep as also checking her phone !!!!.i returned at 4 pm to pick up my son to find out that they were trying the same formula bottle that was supposed to be discarded as it was already used....i spoke about this to the director / asst director .... I am sending my son to Action Day for the past 8+ months and I am now a guilty mom. This place is not for you if :- 1) Student:Teacher ration 1:12 or lower is important for you. They keep mixing classes during the day and its chaotic. 2) Having an experienced teacher is important to you. They hire students or minimally experienced staff. They are energetic and fun no doubt but the very lack of experience limits your child's grooming. 3) If you care that your child's well rounded development is their priority. The teachers they hire just ensure that no shit goes down in the day. Thats their primary job goal. 4) If you care that you son doesnt have to deal with changing teachers all the time. My son's since he joined has a new teacher every 3-4 weeks. My wife and I choose ADPP El Quito after searching many different programs and places. The site was introduced to us by more than one friend and co worker. I have to say it has been a great experience. I feel like the teachers have a genuine affection for my son and I have never once worried about leaving him in there capable care. When we moved my son to another location (ADPP Coventry it is closer to work)a and had a really bad experience with them. El Quito accepted him back the next day and treated him like he had never left. I would highly recommend this site to anyone looking for care.. Both my sons went to Action Day Primary Plus. My elder son went from the age of 4 months and the younger one went there from when he was 5 months old. They are now 7 and 2.5 respectively. Our experience has always been positive at this location. They also have friendly staff and extracurricular activities like dance music etc. Overall it is a fun experience for the kid. There is a good blend of different cultures in the location. We would highly recommend this place. read more
