We were part of Ms. Mila's daycare for five years in a row, and closing that chapter of my family's life has been one of the hardest goodbyes I've ever had to say. Ms. Mila and her husband Mr. Cuqui took care of both my children--my youngest from the time he was an infant until he recently transitioned to TK. They are some of the best caregivers I have been lucky to meet, and they are organized, efficient, and dependable in how they run their home daycare. If you are a new parent and unsure of whether a nanny, preschool, or something in between will be the most ideal for your child, Ms. Mila's truly blends the best of them all. The home-based environment provides that casual, family-like touch that is so good for the little ones' development and helps builds important human connections at an early age. At the same time, Mila and Cuqui integrate lots of intentional teaching, play, art, and activities on a daily basis that engage the children in foundational learning and skills-building. Both my kids learned to read at an early age, which I attribute to the help of the consistent attention and teaching they got here. On top of it all, Mila and Cuqui know how to make things fun--they celebrate holidays, birthdays, and occasional family gatherings, not to mention they take some enviable, much-deserved vacations and camping trips on their time off! I admire these providers greatly in how they live and run a business, and I truly loved and will miss sending my kids to them alongside all of their daycare friends. We had a wonderful experience with Mila's Daycare. Mila was always warm, friendly, and welcoming to our daughter. I especially appreciated the play-based approach to learning. Our daughter never felt pressured to learn, yet we could clearly see her progress at home. She learned her letters and numbers, how to write and spell her name, and other important skills that helped prepare her for kindergarten. She also learned how to socialize with other children, follow instructions and routines, and be part of a group. Mila's daycare was truly amazing. We joined back in August and just ended our run last week :( In our time there my son loved it. Mila's Daycare has been an amazing place for my son and daughter. We came across this place in the beginning of the pandemic and thank god for that! Mila and Cuqui have become the second parents to both of my kids, and my kids love them so much! Every morning I dropped them off, my 3-year old daughter runs to the front door and my 18 months old tries to leap out of my arms to get to Mila's! Some days, my kids do not want to leave the daycare!! The daycare is run in their own house and they have a nice playroom and a spacious backyard! There are many toys in the playroom and backyard! Also small slides and small houses for the kids to play with. The daycare provides breakfast, lunch and snacks which is amazing! Mila and her husband Cuqui are two of the most wonderful people I've ever met. They have a real gift for caring for children and they have a love for the kids they care for that shows. They make each child feel special, especially on their birthday and holidays. Mila and Cuqui came to our rescue when we needed a short term temporary daycare!! My husband and I checked out 3 daycares, and we liked Mila's daycare the best! The children's area was kept clean and tidy. There is also a nice play area in their back yard for the kids to enjoy. Our son looked forward to going to Ms Mila's house every morning. Mila's Daycare is run by Mila and her husband Cuqui. They do an exceptional job caring for children and fostering a loving environment for kids to grow up and play in. They have a very nicely decorated yard with lots of outdoor playing facilities, and a fun playroom that is equipped with a long table and little chairs for little ones to make pastries, draw, and play games together. They offer a wide gamut of educational and amusing activities, ranging from learning alphabets, life science discovery by observing the life cycle of live insects, to water splashes in the Summer. They hold celebrations for major holidays such as Easter, Christmas, and most importantly, the birthdays of the munchkins! All of these fine experiences at this cozy daycare establishment come at a very affordable, almost unbeatable, price. My child made some wonderful memories with Mila, Cuqui, and friends. Best daycare experience we could have asked for and we are so sad this chapter of our life is done where we don't see Mila and Cuqui everyday! Both our kids went to Mila's over a 6 year span. Our oldest was a very difficult baby but it never seemed to phase Mila. She is a true professional. Not only do they do a great job caring for each kid, but they also implement a lot of educational activities/projects preparing them for school. We enrolled our 2 year old daughter in Mila's Daycare after having a bad experience at one of the pricier Campbell daycare centers. Since we had late work hours, we would have to leave our daughter until 6 pm. Sometimes we would arrive to see our daughter playing in the corner by herself with no supervision. Sometimes no one would blow her nose for hours and her boogers would be dried on her poor nose. Also they would start cleaning with children still inside and use strong smelling floor cleaners, which is not good for little one's breathing. Needless to say we got our daughter out of there in the first month. A high price tag does not equal quality in life, please remember that. We were Extremely fortunate to find Mila and her husband Cuqui. We were even more lucky that they had an immediate spot available for us. She took care of our daughter after that. Not only was she very affordable compared to others in the area, they were very flexible any time we needed a few days to make a payment. Our daughter has had a great experience with her, learning, reading, playing, doing arts and crafts and singing songs. We have highly recommended her to the other Stanford families we have come across. Her hours are from 7:30 am-6pm which is amazing. In addition to taking great care of kids under 5, she specializes in care of babies less than one. Upon meeting her and her husband, you will quickly realize how genuine their care is for the children they watch after. She incorporates holidays such as Father's and Mother's Day and makes arts and crafts with the kids. They also host a party each December for parents to get together and new parents to meet other parents, where they cook traditional Peruvian food which is amazing. Cuqui also dresses up as Santa and gives the kids gifts. As my wife is a busy physician, the care and trust we saw Mila have for our daughter has been invaluable to her peace of mind and her ability to perform in her career. Mila cooks fresh healthy meals for the kids everyday. Mila is perfectly fluent in English, but also speaks fluent Spanish if you would like some Spanish fusion in your child's development. I cannot recommend Mila and Cuqui enough. We had to move for work and we will truly miss her. When they said goodbye to our daughter, my wife was crying and they were both crying. I might have shed a tear as well. Tears of love. You cannot fake real love. read more

I can't express enough how amazing Mila and Cuqui are. All three of our daughters were in their care over a span of six years, and in that time they became more like family for us. They have a fantastic and enriching bilingual curriculum that prepared our kids for dual language immersion programs when they started school. They have weekly art projects that help the kids learn their alphabet, numbers, and the months of the year, and they play games that help with math and language skills. Our kids favorite game by far was the Mystery box. Our daughters would always recount excited stories about who found what in the Mystery Box when we picked them up. As parents we also really appreciated all the time and effort they put into documenting yearly milestones and helping our kids feel like the day care was a second home. They would host birthday parties for the kids, which always made them feel so special (they'd even take the time to attend the kids birthday parties on weekends if they were free). They would also send home art that incorporated our kids hand or footprints so we could see how much they had grown. In addition to the great learning environment Mila and Cuqui also worked very hard to provide homemade and very healthy meals and snacks for the kids (we get requests for Cuqui's "green pasta" all the time). Leaving the day care was incredibly hard because they provided such a welcoming and loving place for us and our girls. Our daughters still talk about how much they love Mila and Cuqui and ask when we can go back and visit them. The dedication they show to helping the kids in their care is unparalleled. Mila and Cuqui cared for our kids for a short time, but the positive impact they left in our lives will last a lifetime. It's a pretty daunting task finding a daycare for your child and no one is going to take care of your child like you will, but I was really blessed to find Mila's Daycare. Mila and Cuqui loves the kids and it shows in their interaction with each of the little ones in their daycare. My son started Mila's at 3 months old until about 2 years old. The only reason why I pulled him out was because of my work relocating to another city. I had to move him closer to my home. Here are a few things I loved about Mila's daycare: - I loved the spacious back yard and their learning/playroom. They redid their backyard and placed fake grass, so no more barks in their shoes or muddy clothes coming home! It looks so nice! - I loved their home cooked meals. My son is a great eater thanks to Cuqui's cooking. - I loved how they celebrated holidays and every birthday! - I loved Mila teaching them alphabets and songs. - I loved how she taught my son to pick-up/clean-up. - I loved receiving all the art creations my son made during craft time. There is nothing like receiving a handprint of your little one, they are so precious. I have a handful of these hanging on my wall, I love looking at them every day and still do. When I received my Mother's day present last year of my son's handprint/footprint framed artwork, it brought tears to my eyes because it's something that I haven't had time due to my hectic schedule. I will cherish them forever! - I LOVED how they loved and took such good care of my son. I could see it when he would come in every morning and he would run right into Mila's arms. OUR FAMILY LOVES THIS DAYCARE!!! I have been bringing my daughter to Milas since she was about 6 months old. (She is 14 months now). I was very hesitant about bring her to a daycare as a family member had been providing care for her previously, but I can not imagine bringing her any place else! Mila is very caring and warm. You will know the minute that you step foot inside her home she dedicates everything to her kids. She has a lot of room for the children to play and explore while also having the feel of a small classroom. She is very creative with the children and does many different activites to get the children involved, entertained and learning at the same time. Her home is very clean and organized and she has a large safe area with lots of fun toys both inside and outside her home. In, addition, she is bilingual so will teach your child spanish! The kids that go to Milas really love eachother and most of the time my daughter doesn't want to leave!! Her hours are great, 7:30-6 and she is always very accomodating and professional. I never worry when my girl is in Milas care which is the most important thing. read more

Mila's daycare is an absolute gem and we are so happy to have found someone we can trust to care for our son (from 1.5 to 2 years of age). We had a negative experience with our son's previous daycare which left us feeling guilty and worried about the possibility of finding a decent daycare for our boy. So we took him to Mila's with reservations. Well, we changed our minds within the first couple days. First, he went down for naptime on the very first day. This was the point of contention with our previous daycare staff, who claimed that our son wasn't developed enough to have a nap routine (despite the fact that he naps pretty well at home). Second, our son was HAPPY when we picked him up the first day. Even after more than a month at his previous daycare, he would 100% either be crying or have this tense look on his face. He was always sitting by the door, clutching his teddy bear, and could not wait to leave. But at Mila's, on the first day when I picked him up, he wasn't crying at all. Instead, he pulled my hand inside and wanted to show me all the toys he was playing with! He does still often cry at drop-off, but, and this is the third point, Mila never makes us feel guilty for it or treats him with impatience. We can tell how much love and patience she has with kids. I love picking him up at the end of the day because often he has food stains on his shirt (a sign he's eating well) and is in a chill and happy mood. We're really sad to leave San Jose because it means we have to leave this wonderful daycare. read more

Since Nov '15, they have helped raise our daughter to be independent, social and her own little person. My son attended daycare here for over 3 years. Mila and Cuqui are amazing people and I'm so lucky that my boy was so loved and well cared for by them. They are so incredibly good with all the children and clearly love them all so much. I know my son is well looked after when he's there. My daughters age 5 and 4 started coming to this daycare in 2017. Mrs. Mila was recommended to me by a family friend, I had been doing a lot of research on a daycare. I was afraid to leave my babies. This would be the first time ever having to leave my babies in someone elses care other then myself and their grandma. I desired to stop by and tour the place. The first thing I noticed was that all the little kids seemed so happy. It was around 5:30 pm when I stopped by so I got to see some of the parents pick up thei kids. I right away got a good vibe, seeing the parents talk to Mrs. Mila and the kids made me realized that this was more than just a daycare. The kids actually cried when having to go home, so to me that was very good sign, normally kids get happy when mamma or pappa get there but in this daycare the kids are asking to stay longer. Both my daughters loved this place, I am so glad I came across this family, Cuque and Mila are such loving people and I am extremely happy with their services. Both her and Cuqui are flexible, fair, and easy to get along with. Their daycare is clean, professional, and they provide a loose structure with lots of hands on and individualized attention.
