I needed to get my taxes copied in a hurry today. Stopped into FedEx Office to get my task done. I…read morewasn't sure if they were open. It was about 5:30 p.m. when I got there. Online it said they were open till 7. The store looked so dark and the open sign wasn't on. But I walked up to the door to see if maybe they closed early. I was happy to know they were open! I was instantly greeted by a sweet employee behind the counter. He asked me what he could do for me. I told him I needed copies made. I pointed to the copy machines and told me to take my time. I thought that was really nice of him. I got my debit card squared away on the machine and purchased 10 dollars worth of copies. I didn't quite know how to work the copier so I asked the nice gentleman for help. He came over, guided me and helped me with my first set of tax papers. He also informed me about the paper clips, staple and other office supplies that were available for me if I needed them. I worked my way down to the last 2 stacks of taxes, got them paper clipped and into my trusty manilla envelope. It was a lot faster than I imagined, getting my task completed. It was great having everything I needed all in one area. I thanked the nice man for his help and made my way out of the door. I appreciate this employee's kindness and patience. He was great and my work area was perfect!

After a failed attempt to get a high resolution scan at another location, I went to the counter to…read moreask if getting a higher resolution copy of my passport was possible. The very young girl that I got to engage with was really annoyed with me, even proceeded to roll her eyes and be put out. I am an extremely easy and kind person to engage with so this was a bit perplexing. She proceeded to look at my problem scan from another location (blurry as all get out) and she says, looks fine to me. So... I had to find my own path forward on how to resolve my issue. Thankfully after some fumbling around with their copiers/scanners I got what I needed. Even though she said I would get the same outcome there too. The other two people working that day seemed to be helpful with others, the girl I got definitely hates her job. I am hopeful the other people working are more helpful. If there is a next time, I will ask for someone else. To end on a good note, they have excellent scanners/printers for high quality scans, just change the dpi. And you get to review the scan before paying, unlike the original office scanning place I went. Score!

Every month I need to FedEx my blood samples to my transplant hospital and to my nephrologist. I'm…read moreusually downtown or by the mall so those two spots are my drop off locations. Today was not one of my normal days so I googled closest FedEx near me and this joint pooped up. I have lived in this area for almost 10 years and never knew about this spot. We always just hit Winco, Home Depot and the food spots. I am really learning more about the store fronts in this center. Pulling up I almost missed it. It's a smaller store but I found me a nice front row parking spot and made my way in. There was a gal working behind the counter. She greeted me and asked what she could do for me. I told her about my packages and she got me squared away. I was also sending some important paperwork to the transplant hospital as well. I needed an envelope and postage. She guided me to the right envelope and got me taken care of. It was a smooth transaction from start to finish. While I was writing the address on the envelope, I couldn't help but be mesmerized by all the fun, local things they had in the store. Local soaps, chapsticks, kitchen towels. It was all so fun to look at. I loved all the fun soaps they had. I could stay there for a while just to smell all of them. I guess this joint has been around for 20 years, crazy. I would have never known to today. This joint is 8 minutes from my house. It's so convenient to be able to drop off my packages without having to go downtown or by the mall. The associate was really kind and they had some fun goodies there. I know where I need to go now when I have any packages to be dropped off in the future.

We arrived on time and I learned that the TSA PreCheck partners with Clear. There's a Clear machine now in the TSA-Precheck area which wasn't like that two years ago. The service was quick but unless you travel super often or you don't have a credit card that provides for Clear don't add on the service. Its not worth it. Just stick with your TSA-Precheck status. Kathy got her KTN - Known Traveler's Number in two days. Wow. Super fast. Last tip: Skip all the travel gear at Staples as it is way overpriced.
