LIke the previous poster I too, rarely post reviews, but the professional service at Action Video Services merits recommendation. I just had an old audio cassette that my father made on Christmas morning 1969 transferred to disc and Action Video did a fantastic job as always. It is my third time to use AVS. The first time I used them was to transfer old color slides to disc. The images came out beautifully. Next I used AVS to scan dozens of old family snapshots to disc and they also created a slideshow that I ran at my folk's golden anniversary party. My last visit was to transfer old audio recordings that my father made of the family at Christmas 1969 to disc. Each time I used AVS, they have been very friendly and professional. They are patient with me (who knows little about A/V) and every order with them has been completed on time. Their costs are very reasonable. I have recommended AVS to friends and relatives. Action Video and Kim Denby have compiled several sets of our slides and snapshots into a compact disc for viewing. We started with wedding pictures we wanted to save apart from getting out a slide projector, screen, etc. etc. That was done beautifully. She went on to do several other DVDs for us, specifically of a particular trip to another country. The most superb was one of the Eastman Philharmonia trip to Europe, the Soviet Union (in those days), the Middle East and Scandinavia. This was so well-received it was used at the Eastman School of Music 50th anniversary of that trip. We have also had photos restored from their fading sepia originals into something worth keeping and framing. I heartily recommend this place for video and restoration work. I need to transfer a couple vhs tapes to dvd and found this gem of a place. Lance and the whole team were just so real, they explained all the options and possibilities. The job was done in a fraction of the time they told me it would be. Long story short, I wasn't able to get back to their store immediately. Lance, the owner, went above and beyond to have my items delivered through another client that was headed my way. He didn't have to do that, but he did. In getting ready for my son's rehearsal dinner, I decided that we needed to transfer all of our old VHS and 8mm tapes to DVD. I have a bunch of family in Big D and I'm always trying to get a hold of old family photos and film while in town. I took a bunch of old Super 8 and 8mm film to be transferred to HD Quicktimes. The film was in very poor condition, but they cleaned it up during the transfer and the footage looks amazing, great job with restoring a lot of the color.
