They have an awesome display of Lego collectible figures, but the prices are out of this world…read more Some routinely go for $40, some much, much higher, too, while the average price per figure for ones that I can get anywhere else is about $15. Even the cheapest ones, which are sold in huge quantities everywhere you can buy Lego mini figures, sell for almost $10 at the Robot Garage. I can and do buy those same ones at places like the drug store, Five Below and even Toys R Us for a couple of bucks. Do they have a large, even quite impressive, selection? Yes, but they are overrated and overpriced. They do have in-demand pieces and ones that have been retired or only were produced in limited quantities, but they are not so rare that the prices are justified on everything they sell. Come on, a lot of those figures I can and have gotten for $3 each and there is no need to spend that much on a little hobby. I was last here a the weekend after Thanksgiving. The customer service was so lacking that I'm tempted to not even give them a three star review because based on that one particular experience, although I've been here many times, was so downright horrible that I wouldn't even give them a one star except that I couldn't give lower. The guy that was supposed to be waiting on me basically walked off chatting on his phone and ignored every customer in there. It was near closing time, but there were a bunch of people waiting for assistance and he just walked off to take a personal call on his phone while staring right back at the line at the counter. Some nice girl that didn't really know what she was doing was forced to come to the front and take care of everything herself and mumbled apologies at us, but it wasn't her place to apologize, it was his. He disappeared and we never saw him again as we left the store. I'm still surprised that I bought the pieces I wanted, but they were ones that I was missing and I did want them. I do admit to having a little buyer's remorse over purchasing them with that guy's attitude. The store does have nice Lego displays for children and a huge selection, so that's what brings people through the door. It certainly isn't the customer service that is lacking in all areas.

Their friendly teachers, amazing staff, and fun learning environment make their classes for kids the best. They make learning engineering fun for kids! I am so sad we need to leave - logistics issue after work transfers :(…read more We moved here after Kindercare closed and another center had major license issues. Jennifer was helpful with everything. I disagree with the other reviewers in the following ways (and I will explain why I LOVE KA at the same time): 1. Every kid is different - my daughter knew all of her letters and numbers way before my son (and she is younger). You can't rely on them growing at the same speed. 2. The 3 year old room has Miss Joan who has worked for KA for YEARS. She goes through letters and numbers in the mornings. My son came to KA at 4 knowing nothing and she whipped him into shape in a few months. She can be a tough cookie, but if you need parenting advice and can't find Jennifer (the director)...Joan is your girl. 3. Tuition: you have to pay holidays and vacation days regardless of where you go. As long as we have gone to KA, they have not had a snow day. Ever. ALLLLLL the other schools will be closed, but KA is open for business. 4. Homework: feel like you have NO CLUE what your kid is doing all day at preschool? I've been there. KA sends home optional homework packets that my son LOVES doing. It helps me realize what he is learning during the day and he likes to show off (to me and probably also his sister) all of his number knowledge. 5. Turnover: There have been a few people moving around, but nothing like what I have seen at other centers. The center director has been there for over a decade. She knows her stuff, is no-nonsense but kind. She has a love for her job and her students. And she is a fountain of knowledge if you need help with ANYTHING. I don't know anything about the baby/toddler side because my son is older, but overall we are very happy.

Stay away from this place…read more.. reasons why: 1. my 3 year old is not learning any letters or numbers, they are not teaching it. 2. they make you pay tuittion upfront. 3. You have to pay all holidays and if there is a snow day or if they loose power, you have to pay for all those days. 4. you also have to pay 1/2 tuittion for vacation days. 5. last snow day they did not update their voicemail message and I drove 2 kids in a snow storm 15 miles to find a note in the door that center is closed. 6. Overall not happy at all.

I've been a member at Life Time Fitness Troy since 2002, and I've never been this disappointed…read more They are completely getting rid of the basketball courts and replacing them with pickleball. First they took one court away, and now they're taking BOTH courts starting April 19. Basketball has always been one of the main reasons people come here, and now it feels like that doesn't matter at all. Instead, pickleball is taking over the entire space with prime-time hours--6-9:30 PM on Tuesdays and Thursdays and 6-9 PM on other days--basically making it impossible for anyone to play basketball after work. On top of that, the courts were never even taken care of properly. The basketball floors are rarely cleaned, and the wood clearly needs to be polished. For a gym charging around $150 a month, you would expect much better maintenance, but it feels like they never cared about the basketball side at all. Another issue is the hours. The basketball courts close at 11 PM Monday through Thursday, and the entire club closes at 11 PM on Fridays--which is crazy considering most locations stay open later. This is the only club I know closing that early on a Friday. After over 20 years of being a loyal member, it feels like long-time members are being pushed aside. The gym might look nice, but taking away something this important--and not even maintaining it properly while it was there--completely ruins the experience.

My kiddos and I have visited Jaycee park twice while their summer program kids were there, and I'm truly writing as a warning to parents because I would be heartbroken if I had my kids here given what was going on behind the scenes. The number of kids running around screaming curse words and calling each other derogatory names was honestly a bit shocking. I notified one of the girls who seemed to be in charge, because one of the boys was being bullied and I felt for him. I was just told he was new and they knew he was a problem. As I left the park, one of the kids that was being loaded into their van screamed "suck it lady." The driver and girls didn't seem to flinch. The second day, there were no less than 20 kids (some as young as 5 years old because I heard them talking) and 1 girl in charge who couldn't be much older than 18. I've worked at many childcare centers and am a teacher. That child to adult ratio is absolutely not acceptable. Please raise your standard as a childcare establishment and parents please be aware.

She has developed…read moretremendously as this is her 1st preschool after daycare and 1 year of break at home due to pandemic, we would be thankful to Ms. Smita and Ms. Waafa for showing her and other children all love and the care they needed. All the staffs are so loving and caring special mention to Ms. Smita,Ms. Waafa,Ms.Aari,Ms.Thomas, Ms.Nancy,Ms.Chris,Ms.Reni,Ms. Allyson. We had to relocate to sandiego 2 days ago but my kid keeps saying about her classroom friends and teachers 24×7 and says wants to go back to MCA after she comes from school she would enact and play her classroom scenarios with her soft toys as her friends, herself and me as Ms.Smita and Ms.Waafa. She loves her classmates and Ms.Smita and Ms.Waafa as they do so. Even I am so addicted to talk and play with my kid about her classroom. The best thing happened in her life is being a MCA student, I wish I had known about this place earlier and enrolled her from toddler program itself as they're in practice for more than 15yrs. We had to relocate otherwise she would be still going to Ms.Smita's classroom at MCA. My kid loves the place and the gift letters given to her from her friends and school. Ms.Smita has so much positivity and ever smiling face which influences the kids that even I take her as an example on this is how I need to be with my kid. Their education methodology is the best around Detroit as my kid was attending couple of daycares around until she was 3, I can compare her learning and behavioral development after going to MCA. Most importantly teaching is based on montessori methodology through activities taught to kids with love and care. She's eating even rice by herself now thanks to Ms. Smita,Ms. Waafa and Ms. Nancy. Thanks to Ms. Aari for teaching spanish and engaging the kids with the exercise song and dance moves. My kid perfectly teaches us that since beginning. She recently started full-time just for 3 weeks before our move and enjoyed time with Ms. Chris arts and crafts classes. Overall MCA is the best thing happened to my kid and us in Detroit and Ms.Smita's classroom is the only thing we miss now. Lots of love to you MCA, Ms. Smita,Ms. Waafa and all the classroom friends(its a big list to write their names) from Sahana, I am hopeful that she will always remember all of you as this is her 1st school experience. Thanks to Ms. Thomas and MCA office for giving Sahana an opportunity(enrollment) to be a MCA student.
