I have been…read moresuffering from pain and herniated disc and fractured disc in my lumbar spine and my sciatic nerve. I began seeing Dr Abed several years ago at the request from a different doctor. I saw him and immediately he pinpointed the pain spots and he said this is what you have & these are the treatment options. He brought it up on his computer to show me how damaged my spine actually was and why I was and in so much pain. He offered me injections in my back to alleviate the pain. I got the injection for a few years and then it stopped working and I required surgery. He booked a Rhizotomy and burned my nerves. Very successful. He believes the same as me too treat with the least invasive approach first then if needed go to the Rhizotomy or facet joint injection or sciatica injection. The office staff is good. The office is always clean. I highly recommend Dr Abed to help you with your pain management especially back pain. He has been very helpful, informative, gentle, supportive, respectful and professional. He got me through a difficult time when my right leg was not working and was numb but painful and I had difficulty walking. He treated me and about 3 months later I was back to normal. I can't say enough about his practice but 10/10!! I am going to add that he does not give any prescriptions for pain medication.

The management company phoned me at 9:00 am to change my appointment from 3:00 pm that day to 10:00 am. I could not make it there by that time. They then said 11:20 am. I said I would have to shuffle some things around, but I would manage. I arrived at 11:00am, handed over all of my insurance cards again. Then I sat and waited for 1hour 15 minutes. I asked the girl behind the desk why I was still waiting when they were taking people who came in after me. She nonchalantly stated "they forgot about you." I asked when I could be seen, "I will go back next but I would have wait to wait till everyone else had been." By calculations that would be another hour or more. I had other appointments that I had already rescheduled to accoommodate this long distance management company! I walked out! Telling them that "they better not charge my Medicare or sup insurance, I will keep an eye on it!" Tried calling to talk to someone at the long distance office, had to leave a message. Tried cancelling an upcoming shot, left 2 messages so far. No one calls back and they will not give a phone number for the Timonium office. I believe the only thing the woman at the desk in the office does is take insurance and process the payment. I have change Drs., one who has a real practice, not a long distance management company.

My mother was here for 'rehab' following a complicated spine surgery and it was an abomination. First, someone who works there emptied my mom's wallet and stole her cash. Then the facility basically accused my mom of lying and asked why she had any money on her. That was the most benign issue. Staff would take upwards of 3 hours to respond to patient call lights. My mom had a prescription pain med which would 'mysteriously' never make it to her when she requested it. She would request pain relief before physical therapy, often they would not even get tylenol to her before the end of the day. She actually resorted to taking her own tylenol from her purse because they never brought her medications to her. A resident in a room next door was waiting hours for assistance to the bathroom. They tried to go themselves and of course fell and were on the floor screaming and crying for nearly an hour before someone came to help and they were taken away by ambulance. Staff was HORRIBLE to my mom, refusing to help out of bed even though she can't walk. Refusing to help her get resituated in bed even though she didn't have full use of her arms. They didn't bathe her until she complained to the nursing director. My mom was afraid to ask for anything because she feared retaliation. The name 'Advanced Rehab' is a FARCE! Total misnomer. When we selected this facility, we were advised 60-90 minutes of OT/PT a day. Insert laugh emojis here! Twice a week PT was a 'group' lesson which was sometimes watching a yoga video because they didn't have enough physical therapists. The days she did have 1/1 PT were OK, but then she would go days without any progress because they didn't have enough therapists to work with her. When we made arrangements for her to be transferred to a different facility the director and social worker refused to see her. they refused to arrange for transport; they were refusing to call the new facility to arrange the transfer of records. They refused to give a medical summary to the medical transport team; my mom gave it herself. The staff sure made time to stand outside and smoke weed all day, given the general scent coming from behind the building. This place was beyond abominable.
