Dr.Thomas Lee, is the best out of all i have been to, can't say enough.i was suffering from plantar fasciitis for few years, i have been to numerous physical therapists, and numerous podiatrists, did lot of stretching at home and used the night splint, all my shoes/sandals modified,no one tackled the base issue right. But dr.Lee did. He added loosening the compacted nerves around the fascia tissue with lot of pressured massage and stretch, and provided right at home stretching methods. So my job is very physical as a self employed auto glass tech and I've been doing it for over 25 years. Up until I had seen Dr. Lee I'd been dealing with a chronic shoulder ache stemming from my neck and a numbness going down my right arm, for 2 years. Dr. Lue reach out to me last week and was kind to apologize for the communication issue. He asked i gave the location another shot and i agreed. Honestly i prefer to rate the actual service and quality though initially communication was shot before an appointment was made. Also, i am still in dire need of a good chiro in the bay and he was rated the best... (i still see mines in LA) Anyways, i made an appointment this past Saturday and honestly i was a little sketchy at first. I mean i just left a bad review. My back could break in the visit.... lol jk. dr lee was accommodating for my appt right away for my jaw pain. he explains things well. however dr lee/ this clinic closes lose points for not providing me with billing information to submit to my insurance. it's been 2 weeks since i requested and i was told it would be mailed to me. however today i called to check on it and dr lee tells me that's he's too busy for another week to fill out a bill that takes 5-15 mins! so basically lazy to do paperwork or doesn't care about patients and i have to wait 3 weeks for patient to get billing code to submit to insurance! so unprofessional! read more

A quick note - do know that the owner of this business is Dr. Lee When I first came across this Yelp page I was confused as to who is the "primary" owner of Active Spine & Rehab Center as Dr. Lue is frequently mentioned and his website is linked, but the real owner is Dr. Lee who has been in practice over 20 years. I have been seeing Dr. Lee for just about two months, I am very happy with his: 1) Honesty - he made it clear he is not just trying to take my money like many other chiropractors. He ensures this by not requiring many visits per week (I do once every 1-2 weeks) and recommending exercises outside of the visits that he stresses are the most important for long term recovery 2) Great practictioner. Dr. Lee is a great practictioner of ART which is very different from other chiropractic disciplines in that he will spend a considerable amount of time with you. This isn't a typical 2 minute "crack" session - he will spend about 15 minutes stretching out all the different parts of your affected region. I've been going to Dr. Lue for over a year now, ever since I got rear-ended. He's professional, knowledgeable, and a thoughtful chiropractor. Dr. Lue was very thorough with my treatment logs and diagnosing the types and locations of my discomfort. He focused on my treatment and was upfront about how often I should come in to treat the whiplash. What I like most about Dr. Lue is how he explains what's going on with my spine and muscles. He'll point out the problem areas on a spine with rubber nerves in his office and and explain my x-rays in a way I'll understand. He patiently answers all my questions about his techniques. I was really nervous about the adjustments but definitely felt looser and more comfortable afterwards. I was involved in an automobile accident on the freeway. I was searching yelp and found Dr. Lue's practice. I called his office to make an appointment in which I was seen the same day. The initial visit Dr. Lue took x-rays of the areas that were affected from the collision. He did perform some procedures in the affected area to hold me over until the second visit. The next visit Dr. Lue had the x-rays ready. He thoroughly went over the x-rays to inform me as to where the pain was coming from, what can be done to alleviate the pain and the time frame in which I would be healed. In the beginning of every visit Dr. Lue would ask how I was coping with the pain, has the pain improved any from the previous visit, and if there were any flare ups. After asking these series of questions he would start his healing process and during the treatment he would explain why he is doing each procedure and how it will help with the injuries. I would highly recommend Dr. Lue to my friends and family. He genuinely cares about his patients well being. He always takes his time to make sure the patient is comfortable with the procedure and understands everything. His staff is very caring as well. I never had any issues with scheduling. There were times where I had to cancel last minute but was still able to see Dr. Lue the same day. It has now been about nine months since my treatment; all the pain and complications has not returned. I have never felt better. read more

I started going to Dr. William Lue because I had carpal tunnel syndrome, neck pain, and low back pain. After evaluating my "issues", he explained things so that they made sense and were not intimidating or overly technical. He recommended a treatment plan for me that was realistic. The chiropractic treatments and active release therapy worked well for me, and he made ergonomic recommendations for my work station and taught me stretches & exercises so that I could avoid future injuries. When I ask questions, he respectfully listens and answers them. Dr. Lue has great "bedside manner", always makes me feel comfortable, and I love that I don't have to pop a pill to feel better. Dr Lue is superb. He is so good that I decided to spend time to wrtie my first yelp review ever. I had an irritated disk problem in my lower back and it is pressuring my nerves. The pain was acute and dibilitating. I was not able to get up from bed, climb the stairs or simply walk. So I went to Dr Lue based on the yelp reviews. The reviews are true. He did a thorough exam on me and had my took some X-rays. He did some massages and pressure points. He showed me some streches that I can do to rehab better and gave me detailed intructions on things that I need to pay attention to. So I followed his advice. I was a little doubtful at first since the pain didn't seem to be getting better. But now, after one and a half week, the pain is mostly gone. I can ride my bike and walk and do stuffs that I used to do before. Amazing. Seriously. I have already recommended Dr Lue to all my friends and co-workers. He is a very caring person. He would chat a little bit with you while he is working on you, just to get you relaxed and feel at home. Again, Dr. Lue is great. I couldn't be more grateful for the treatment he provided. These past few months I have been under the chiropractic care of Dr.Lue. At the end of August 2015, I was unfortunately a passenger in a major car accident. For several months I felt uncomfortable pain all around my neck, shoulders, and back. After getting treatment with Dr.Lue I definitely feel 5 stars better. The methods he uses involve simultaneously stretching, moving, and massaging the targeted muscles. The first few treatments left me a bit sore, but definitely feeling a lot stronger and flexible. The best part about the treatment is that Dr.Lue listens and understands the pain before he begins the session. Naturally he attempts to stretch and challenge the muscles that have pains and aches more and more after each treatment. At the very end of each session, I recommend to do the the ice stimulating machine as it helped my muscles recover faster. Overall, my experience at Active Rehab and Spine Center has helped me get back on my feet and playing sports again. For this reason I recommend Dr.Lue and give him and his practice 5 stars for their miracle work. Beyond that, I must say that recovery does not just happen at his office but also at home. Far superior to other chiropractors. Dr. Lee doesn't just crack your back and send you on your way. He does a thorough evaluation (diagnosed a cracked vertebrae that was missed by MD's) and uses multiple therapy methods. It's like a combination of intense physical therapy, exercise and chiropractic treatments. Both my son and I have had tremendous results here. I am the owner of a workers' compensation claims company and have seen more than my share of bad chiropractic treatment facilities. No only is the treatment comprehensive but it is also limited and directed. Dr. Lee doesn't put you on auto pilot and have you keep coming week after week while you rack up large bills. He provides directed care for a specific time frame and re-evaluates to see if the treatment is working and/or should continue. Many athletes receive care here. I have been to my fair share of chiropractors and the Active Spine and Rehab Center is by far my favorite! I usually see Dr. Lee and he is a true professional. Walk in, the room is painted light sea green, music plays from somewhere in the ceiling. The place is pretty roomy, but they use the space well. Susie sits behind the desk. Behind her are some training machines and 2 tables for muscle relaxation. More rooms in the back for massage, etc., incl. restroom. On the right of these machines are 3 doors. 1) Dr. Lee, who owns the place. is a nice and wise looking man who talks and laughs with his patients. He knows ART (Active release therapy). 2) Dr. Robinson is a funny man who does a little deep tissue massage before he works on you, he is also helpful and explains what you want to know. Before he was a chiropractor, he worked with chiropractors to loosen people up and learned his anatomy that way. 3) Dr. Lue is a handsome younger man (has a ring tho) who also practices ART. He makes you feel comfortable and will like all staff here, answer your questions and concerns as long as you voice them. There are 2 people who do massages. 1 is Lucia, and the other I have not met. :) read more

I have bulging (slipped) disks that will flare up once in a while. I've been going to Dr Lue for the last two instances. He has been great and I really like the ART (active release technique) method. I had a shoulder injury. After four months of going to Kaiser, MRI, Cortisone shot, physical therapy class, nothing alleviated the pain. On advice of a friend I went to Dr Thomas Lee of Active Spine Center. It was everything I could have asked for. After five visits along with assigned exercises I could sleep at night and the pain was almost gone. I continued for nine visits and have found my shoulder to be 95% better. What a relief. I've been seeing Dr. Lue for over 7 years but since moving to SoCal don't get to see him regularly anymore. When I'm visiting family in Norcal, I always make an appointment to see Dr. Lue because he is the only doctor I trust to adjust me. I'm very sensitive to any neck adjustments, but need them.
