My wife found Dr. Good about ten years ago and started seeing him ever since for neck and back issues. I am very picky about Chiropractors, but this guy is really good and whenever I tweak my back every year it only takes two or three visits to get me back in alignment again. I am a bit upset. Six months before I went to see Good Chiropractic I went to my Doctor with a sore right hip, knee and foot. They took X rays, MRI, sent me to physical therapy and every time I brought up going to a Chiropractor they talked me out of it. In that six months my hip got worse and worse to the point by the end of the day I could barely walk or stand. The Doctor started talking about the S word "Surgery". I decided to go to a Chiropractor and my wife had gone to Good years before and was very happy with her experience. One thing the Doctor kept warming me about was Chiropractors want to sign you up for routine maintenance contracts, irony fades in they had me going twice weekly physical therapy, and blah blah blah. As soon as I walked in Dr. Good said I was standing crooked and leaning to my right side. He chatted with me on what was bothering me and gave me a 10 or 15 minute adjustment from my feet to my neck. When I left I didn't feel that much different but by the end of the day the pain had not gotten any worse. By the next day the pain in my right hip, knee and foot was 85-90% gone. My foot was a little numb and sore but usually by the end of the day I could not even walk or stand and this has been going on for 6 months. After 3 days my hip was about 90-95% pain free and as was my knee. My foot was still a little bit of an issue so I went back again and has since improved a bit as well. At know time did Dr. Good ever mention a subscription maintenance program. Up front he said I probably needed several adjustments and that should be enough and at most come back couple times a year as needed. I am upset with my Doctor and very pleased with Dr. Good. I cannot say enough good things about my experience with him. Please don't wait six month in pain like I did. I just took my teenage daughter there for hip pain today and am hoping she has a good experience also. read more

I can't believe I've been seeing Dr. Good for almost 15 years! Time flies when you have good chiropractic care. Dr. Good is an amazing chiropractor. Ok....wow. I was a little hesitant to try a chiropractor who only has 5 star reviews, because really, how could that be possible, right? But I decided to try Dr. Good anyway. I just left his office after my first adjustment. I went in because my back went out 4 days ago and I'd been in excruciating pain ever since. I mean, I've been literally chair/bed bound for 4 days. Whatever had happened to my back was no joke and my body wasn't taking it lightly. So, I went to see Dr. Good with high hopes, but low expectations. I've been seeing chiropractors since I was 8 years old and have numerous serious issues, triple curve scoliosis being one of them. I've seen every method, every technique...you name it. But NEVER have I had an experience like the one I had just now. Not only did Dr. Good identify every single problem I had, but he fixed more than one - including the major misalignment that landed me in bed for the past 4 days - IN ONE VISIT. That has NEVER happened to me before, no matter who the doctor was. Every single doctor prior to him would have taken at least 3 visits to fix a problem of this magnitude. But not Dr. Good! In fact, I have more mobility and feel better than I have in years....not months, YEARS. I am completely blown away. And get this - never once did he try to sell me on anything. He told me that he prefers helping patients so that they need to see him as little as possible, instead of the usual "let's set you up on a treatment plan - want to buy a package?" that you'd hear from most doctors. That says a lot about his integrity and honesty. I made the choice to schedule a follow-up appointment for next week, because let's be real - if he can do this much for me in the first visit, then I can only imagine what would happen if I came back! So schedule it I did and I am looking forward to seeing how my health changes as time goes on. THANK YOU, DR. GOOD!!!! *UPDATE* It's been 6 months since I started seeing Dr. Good (Jim). I am one of his more challenging patients, due to the myriad of spinal issues I've had since childhood, multiple sports injuries and problem areas, and the fact that despite being in my late 30's and having my body try to shut me down, I still like to run around doing crazy things (extreme sports, adventuring, etc.). So, when I say I make Dr. Good bring his A-game when treating me, I mean it! I used to live in so much pain, I thought my life was over. I couldn't sleep, sit or stand without pain. I had gained weight, due to not being able to be active, and from having cancer and struggling to recover from the surgeries. I was depressed and felt hopeless that my life would ever be the same again. Fast forward to now and the change has been drastic! I went from being sofa-bound daily, to being a fire dept. volunteer and rescue worker, hiking, camping, shooting machine guns, and going to the gym regularly. NONE of this could have happened without Dr. Good. He paired my adjustments with massage treatments from his in-house masseuse, Kristina Cullen (who is also AMAZING), to address my severe muscle spasms, and guided me in knowing what to do to help stabilize my spine. He's given me my life back...renewed my spirit, my zest. He's made me feel secure in knowing that it's ok to have my broken body and still engage my wild mind, because I know that no matter what I might do to myself in my search for adventure, he's here for me and can fix it! Dr. Good told me that I shouldn't be afraid to do what makes me happiest, because he doesn't want me to grow old and regret the things I didn't do. He has proven himself to be of the highest caliber...as a doctor, a friend, and as a human being. I was surprised that Jim (James) Good was the greeter / receptionist at the door when I walked into my first appointment! Genuine and eager to build a relationship maybe? Yes. We introduced ourselves and right off the bat we started talking to each other as new friends, not just an awkward Joe-Shmoe patient-Dr. visitation. To me he looked to be 6'7" 250lbs and 100% teddy bear. Nicest dude with a soft touch (not gonna lie thought he was gonna crush me initially.) Being in the business for nearly 20 years he really knows his stuff. I brought in a paper packet of X-rays to show, and before he even looked at them he told me what my pain was just by feel and sight. Sure enough his evaluation matched up with what my X-Rays portrayed exactly. Incredible. On a side note - he also pointed out that my X-ray book was a huge marketing scheme with a bunch of verbiage by my previous practitioner and said that the "first 7 pages were bulls**t!" A relief to know that Dr. Good speaks mounds of truth and is not here to wipe your wallet clean due to a $2,500 treatment plan. Of course after that he jokingly noted "well... maybe I need to raise my rates!" He squeezed in a 45 minute session on the first visit. Hearing and feeling the difference. Talking to me every step of the way to make sure I was doing well and not on the verge of passing out. He explained the terminology on how the spine functions in all it's vertebrae glory. Come to find out my left shoulder was higher the my right, my right hip and leg was longer then my left by 1" and my limbs weren't rotating fully! Corrected everything on the spot and I felt sooo much better. After the visit he did not pressure me into coming back 3 times a week, I freely walked out the door after my co-pay. Dr Good's five star ratings are well deserved; the reviews aren't exaggerated. I had a shoulder pain for several years that minimized my movements and because I'm a senior citizen, I just assumed it was part of growing old and learned to live with it. But with only one visit, Dr Good gave me a normal shoulder. I actually went to him for back pain and just mentioned my shoulder in passing. He fixed both problems in minutes. It's been so long since I've had a normal shoulder that sometimes I have to remind myself that I can actually raise my arm full length to get something off a shelf. I'm a volunteer dog walker at the humane society and constantly have foot related problems so at my next visit, I mentioned that I might have stress fractures on my left foot which were getting more painful, causing me to limp. I assumed it was a problem for a podiatrist, not a chiropractor. Wrong! Dr Good fixed it in a couple of sessions and I'm now able to walk pain free. My sessions usually take about 10-15 mins but they're extremely effective. I appreciate the quickness and also the fact that he doesn't try to sell me other sessions. He leaves the visits up to me so I only go when I feel I need an adjustment. I would highly recommend Dr Good to anyone looking for an excellent and ethical chiropractor. Hands down THE BEST chiropractor I have ever been to in my life! I have seen many chiropractors over the years and always felt like I was just a number. That is until I met Dr. Good. Dr. Good is amazing! He is very gentle and knows the body extremely well. When I started working in the Pleasanton area, a coworker noticed I get frequent migraines. She suggested I come with her to see her chiropractor. It took some coaxing, but I eventually made an appointment to see Dr. Good. I wish I'd done it sooner! Dr. Good was very thorough with his initial exam, explaining to me what he was noticing particularly with my neck and spine, and explaining why they could contribute to such awful headaches. I didn't have a migraine on the first day I went to see him, but I have on a few occasions. Most of the time, I feel great relief from these migraines immediately after he works his magic. Other times it only takes an hour or so to start feeling the difference. I have stopped getting migraines quite so frequently, and although I do get them from time to time, I am certain that I am seeing results from the visits to Dr. Good. He has a great sense of humor, and is very personable. One of the friendliest (and most effective) doctors I've ever been to. I have been to a couple chiropractors. I really enjoy visiting Jim. Er. I mean Dr. Good. I have sciatica pain and my lower back couldn't be touched for years. Within the first visit he narrowed down my problem area. Within a couple weeks he was able to put pressure on my lower back and start cutting back on my visits. No chiropractor or doctor has been able to figure out in over 10 years how to alleviate this pain! Many in the industry treat the checkbook. Dr. Good treats the patient. If your body doesn't require coming in, then he doesn't try to convince you that you need to come in. I found this very respectable in a business. Most of all, Dr. Good has a good sense of humor. I had a niggling pain in my right wrist for about a year, typical to software engineers. It went on and off for few days but last week it was really becoming a nuisance. I was introduced to Dr. Good by Kathleen Beaulieu. After having an epidural for a boulging disc, my pain had a temporary recovery that lasted only 6 months. When the pain came back, I wanted a better solution rather than taking pain killers and anti-inflamatories or another epidural as recommended by my spinal doctor. First of all, I had a 1/2 treatment with Kathleen and then she recommended me to see Dr. Good for some neck and back adjustment. His treatment worked and I fill better than I was two weeks ago. And I like the way he has his office set up - you call or email ahead (his reception/anwering service is offsite), go in at your appointment time and he's ready for you. I've only ever had to wait a couple minutes at the most, and that's usually because he's saying goodbye to the patient before me. He's in a common "hive" type of office, with other health practitioners. He also doesn't want to pressure you into getting a lot of unnecessary adjustments. I began visiting Dr. Good about a year ago after several family members talked me into chiropractic care. I am an aircraft mechanic and my back pain had always been an issue. On my first visit, Dr. Good stood me in front of a mirror and pointed out one misalignment after another after another... I was amazed how crooked I was. Never been to a chiro before. Very nervous on my first appointment as I already was on stiff neck for almost 4/5 days. Got referred by my friend. Scheduling was pretty easy, called and got next day appointment. On time, no wait for the appointment. All I can say is Dr. Good is an awesome chiro. He understood the problem and also has provided details on what's going on and then attacked problem one by one. I also had a follow-up after few days and took care of another issue. Felt better after that. Dr. Good has immense experience and knowledge and I felt that am in good hands. I've been going to Jim for almost 3 years now. He is an amazing chiro and knows exactly how other bones out of place in your body affect one another. Often my back or neck issue, is due to another bone that's out of alignment and because he adjusts all of your body, not just your back; I no longer have the horrific knee pain I did when I began seeing him. I'd gone to an orthopedic for years to try and figure out why my right knee always hurt so badly. All along is was because my knee cap was out of alignment and Jim was the first and only doc to figure it out. He also works with you if your insurance will only pay for a certain number of visits per year. He is more concerned with your health and well being, than he is about what an insurance company says. I've been going to Dr. Good for fifteen years. I drive from San Francisco because he's...that "Good". Sorry had to do it. I appreciate that he integrates cranial sacral with some activator, drop table, traditional, etc. I didn't know that the cranial bones can shift and even effect mood. When I first went to him, he showed me in a mirror how one eye was higher than the other and after the adjustment, all lined up. He's grounded and realistic about "alternative medicine". Friday I went in while I had a stiff neck. I'd never been adjusted when I couldn't actually turn my head, so you can imagine I was scared and guarded. Can't believe I left with zero pain and full range of motion. The adjustment never engaged my neck muscles so there was no reason for me to be scared of the pain. Other chiropractors just don't adjust you from your toes to your uh, eyes. Or at least the way he does. Oh and he's a tremendous human being as well. Go! Dr. Good=Great! read more

Dr. Good is very personable and welcoming. He does everything you could require to ensure your experience with a chiropractor is as patient-centric as possible. He is legitimate, honest, forthright, and blunt. Very transparent and extremely knowledgeable, I appreciate his background from attending Life Chiropractic College as this gives him knowledge and specialty in practicing a whole-body approach to doing chiro treatment. Instead of just noticing neck issues (though this is acknowledged as the nerve center), he was adjusting me all over my body. This was welcome and fixed up some small alignment issues I have never noticed or considered large enough to require special treatment. Since I started looking for a Chiropractor to start regular maintenance or upkeep with, he delineated treatment as being dictated by what my body wants or needs, not a prescribed plan he thinks I should keep up with.
