Dr. Hapka was able to tell me exactly what was going on during the first visit and did a very extensive new patient visit including working the referred pain area which no one even caught prior to coming here. I visited Dr. Mulhall at Active Spine & Sport Therapy around 8 years ago for sciatic pain and was offered an exercise with modifications on Day 1 that I've used a handful of times over the years when I feel a flare up coming. We explored additional therapies over a short period, and I recall needling didn't work, but whatever - that stretch was enough once I committed to it and is my biggest takeaway from that time. To date, I have not seen nor heard of this particular exercise from anyone, including Google. Fast forward to the recent day I realize that my few decades of adult life stress that lives in my shoulders isn't going to fix itself and can no longer be ignored. My impatience, combined with an ease in scheduling, found me in Dr. Hill's office. After a week of doing exercises designed to loosen me up and help correct my posture, dry needling was performed yesterday. Y'all, I woke up wondering where my shoulders were because I couldn't feel them! And when a slow, dull ache began to build half an hour later, I easily found relief in a few of the exercises I had already been given. We still have more work to do together and I am so appreciative of their philosophy around treatment and how it's designed. I was in excruciating pain from an exercise injury... like, couldn't work, needed help getting in and out of bed pain. Dr Hill and Dr Hapka got me back on track! The office is nice, the staff is sweet, only good vibes from this office! They are an out of network chiropractor practice, which means that instead of going in and cracking your back for five minutes and leaving, they spend a half hour to hour with you individually assessing concerns and coming up with a treatment path that will resolve your issue. They both said that their goal was to get me feeling better in as few appointments as possible, and that was totally achieved. I went for three appointments and I'm almost completely back to normal. This was a borderline miracle, Yelp homies. For reference, after an injury a few years ago, my last chiropractor wanted me to go in three times a week for a month, then twice a week for a month, etc.... and I would only see them literally for five minutes and then they would be working on the next person. I was seriously pitiful, guys. They both listened to me complain a lot, then did some magical pressure massage thing to my back and neck before adjusting my spine. It was honestly a wonderful experience! After I went, I found out a bunch of people I know go there too and everyone loves them. If you're gonna go to a chiropractor, go to them. I went to Bryan Hapka with some back and leg issues that had been going on for a short while. He managed to figure out what the problem was and worked on the current issue with great success. He gave me several exercises and stretches to do to keep the problem from returning. Success so far! Highly recommend. read more

Dr Hapka and his team are great. I came in with a neck injury. I have been dealing with muscle atrophy and tension in my neck. Dr Hapka adjusted me and performed some Active Release Therapy relieving muscle tension, increasing range of motion and restoring some strength in my muscles. I highly recommend Dr Hapka and his team. I believe with his help I can recovery fully without surgery and/or other invasive procedure. read more

I don't know what else to say about Dr. Mulhall except that he is a unicorn. I have tried to find someone that could compare to him in Dallas with no avail... I have a great chiropractor, a great person for active releases therapy, decent people for needling. He is the only one that I can find everything that i need to make me feel better... To make Me feel for long periods of time that I will be ok.Temporary relief compared to weeks of relief is a big difference. I saw Dr. Mulhall for a nervous system issue. After multiple sessions my issue, unfortunately, was not resolved. I have seen multiple doctors, a neurologist, and physical therapists, etc. and no one has been able to fix my issue. Dr. Mulhall significantly stood out. He genuinely cares about his patients and helping them. Just because he was not able to solve my issue doesn't mean I don't highly, highly recommend him. I will definitely see him in the future for other issues. He has excellent bedside manner and is very personable. And you can tell he's extremely competent. I tried this place a few years back and have been meaning to write a review but put it off. I'm writing now because I'm looking for a chiropractor who uses the ART technique. I found this place on the (active release therapy) ART main site. A personal trainer I knew @ the time had used this tech (ART) for an injury and she recommended it to me. I enjoy running and an old injury in my left foot was bothering me. So, I found Dr. Mulhall listed on the ART website and tried this group mainly due to close proximity. During my 1st visit he barely listened, he also acted like he knew exactly what the issue was without spending much time with me and recommended a completely different treatment than the ART therapy. He passed me off to their PT guy. And I probably spent $1000 or more out of pocket and I wasn't feeling any better. The Dr. acted like I was a bother and didn't seem to have time for me. I asked for some of my $$ back because I felt ripped off and received nothing back. I reasoned that he passed me off to the PT, bc @ the time they were very new, and were probably desperate for new patients. Feeling very frustrated & ripped off, I went back to the ART main website and found a chiropractor in Keller Dr. Laney. He's registered in the ART technique. He was awesome and spent quality time with me. After a few sessions with him, I had so much relief I was able to get back into running. I need ART therapy again and live in Ft. Worth & would appreciate a place that's convenient. Dr. Laney, who's registered in ART is located in Keller, but just sold his practice this past February. So I'm not sure about the new Dr's. Nonetheless, they're registered in ART technique so I'm gna try them anyways bc Dr. Mulhall was that terrible and in my opinion he deserves zero stars. Hi Dr. Mulhall, I appreciate you taking the time to respond thoughtfully, respectfully and with integrity to my review. Dr. Laney is an awesome Dr. and somehow, in his expertise, he's able to take a lot of different insurances, charge a small co-pay, and still have plenty of time to be very personable and also have the time to access me before & after my treatment. Amazing. His care & treatment is above average. Honestly, Dr. Mulhall, as generous as a couple of free office visits sound, I feel even more nervous. Why? 1. That you only except out of pocket. And trust me I get why you're doing that. 2. I'd asked for some $$ back, after spending over $1000, to get nothing in return in payment or treatment. So I've lost not only $$ but also confidence. 3. And will a few complimentary visits be enough for me to feel confident that I'm going to receive superior treatment and receive the treatment that's best for me. I have had chronic low back pain since 2008 along with nerve and disc issues. I am only 32 so I have been in search of someone who can help me. My appointment was at 4pm. I got called back at 4:35 and was handing over my credit card at 4:50 to which I paid $175. From the short time that I was in there you can already guess that there was no "extensive orthopedic, neurologic and functional examinations" as they say there will be. I basically was told to sit up straight. Don't think that will fix the tear in my disc and the other discs that are jammed together. I didn't feel listened to when I tried to talk. After that quick meeting (not sure what to call it), the doc asked me if I had any questions. My husband had a couple. As he started to ask a question, the doc walked toward the door and opened it. He quickly sort of answered the question and he was out the door with his back to us as my husband is asking another question. Either this practice is always like this or he wanted to be out the door at 5. Not my fault I got there 15 minutes early and got called back 35 minutes after my scheduled time. As I was crying in the parking lot to my husband because I feel it is hopeless to help me, the doc is already in his car jetting out (right at 5). I wasn't asked if I wanted to schedule a follow up or how my visit was. I would not recommend this place. read more

Dr. Hapka is fantastic. After I was in a car accident I had numerous people recommend Active Spine & Sport as the best in town and I was extremely hesitant to believe it. However, I could not have been more wrong. Dr. Hapka has been great. He is very skilled and knowledgeable and it is so true that his goal is to get you healed and out of there as soon as possible unlike other chiropractors who want to get as many visits out of you as possible. He is great at explaining what is going on, answering all of your questions, and giving at home exercises to work on improving from your injury. I cannot possibly recommend him enough. Dr McCalister is very friendly, professional, and takes time to explain things. He helped me with some neck pain I have been experiencing. He is more than just a typical chiropractor as he uses multiple treatment methods you might not associate with "chiropractors" (trigger point release, dry needling). An ancillary benefit during the course of treatment was that he also helped me get some relief from chronic nasal congestion I experience. I found Active Spine and Sport when a friend recommended I see a chiropractor certified in Active Release Technique (ART). Definitely recommend Dr McCalister. read more
