Symptoms as I relayed to her over the phone-- particles of sand streaming & waving on my left eye's vision. A persistent cloud reducing eye's vision. Sarah said she is to call me back for an appointment with Dr. Grace Kim, who just examined my eyes in early March, 2026. In fact I told Sarah I saw I owe $30 for that visit and if I can write a cheque and mail it over. Considering the urgency of my eye's condition, symptoms of which as explained to her on April 10, SHE NEVER CALLED BACK FOR THE APPOINTMENT she was to set for me. Medical Negligence! Going into a weekend and as a step to address my eye's condition before Monday opens, I was examined yesterday at Memorial Care Urgent Care nearby at Bellflower. Dr. Rosebrock who attended to my eye was of deep concern as symptoms were indicative of posterior vitreous detachment but he can't do much and advised to seek eye specialist 1st hour Monday without delay. They were both extremely knowledgeable and took the time to really listen to my history and concerns. They approached everything with compassion and genuine joy in their work, which made a long appointment feel comfortable and unhurried. I also met with Dr. Patel, who patiently answered all of my questions and explained everything in a clear and kind way. I really felt like all the people I met cared deeply for me. The original consultation was fine, although the wait times here are ridiculous. Well over an hour past your appointment time. We scheduled the appointment 3 weeks out, and the week after they told us the schedule changed so it would not be a month out. No big deal, annoying, but fine. Cut to the week before - I called to confirm the surgery time. They said they make the schedules on Monday the week of and I could call Monday. Monday comes and they still don't have a final time. They "think" it's 2:00PM but someone will call me the day before. Cue the day before and it's 1:00PM and I still don't have a surgery time. I call the scheduler and she says 2:00 but the nurse make their calls around 3:00 PM so they'll confirm. Finally the nurse calls and the surgery time is 3:50PM... for a toddler! It's annoying enough that Dr. Tao cannot perform surgery until 12PM at this location, but even he said children should be his first surgery of the day. My toddler is probably the last surgery of the day. Everything about this experience has been frustrating and having to do the surgery is anxiety inducing enough. We are considering cancelling it altogether and going to San Diego to another surgeon....

The doctor himself was very easy to talk to, straight-forward and was not at all sales pitchy. He explained everything thoroughly and in terms I could understand. I, like I assume most people, have a "thing" about touching my eye. So when the doctor suggest contacts my defenses immediately went up. Fortunate and unfortunately my vision is poor enough to warrant contact lenses free of charge. So the doctor and has team offered to help me, as long as required, learn to put in and take out contacts it's as much ease as I could possibly allow myself. I wish I had seen Dr. Vansuch much sooner. He is definitely someone I would recommend to anyone concerned with not only their vision, but the Heath of their eyes.

Verified my insurance with them with 0 co pay…read morefor eye exam (they failed to mention that the covered eye exam wasn't enough for them to allow me to purchase contacts or even be given a prescription for contacts unless I paid an additional fee. I brought in my contact box for them to see BC fit. When finished they let me know that for contact prescription I would need to pay a fitting fee of $215 to $289. (in 50 years of contact wearing I've never heard of a fitting fee for current contact users). I asked them to just give me the new contact prescription for the contact I currently wear and was told they can't give me a contact prescription without me paying the fitting fee. I've now my insurance paid 1 eye exam for the year and have to either pay their fee of go to another doctor for a full exam (which is half the price of their fitting fee) and get my contact prescription, contacts and glasses. I should have paid more attention to the poor reviews!!! I will say Everyone is really nice while they tell you their extorsion rules as they apologize and try to say it's your fault... so nice that I think having disgruntled clients is a very common thing... poor employees

The staff in has office are efficent and well trained. It is a pleasure to be a patient of Dr. Rundle knowing you are with a physican who knows how to work on a case by case basis to achieve outcomes that are exceptional.
