I was there for specialized vision testing, which took about 2.5 hours, but it was actually a very pleasant experience thanks to the exceptional interns, Alex and Minnie. They were both extremely knowledgeable and took the time to really listen to my history and concerns. They approached everything with compassion and genuine joy in their work, which made a long appointment feel comfortable and unhurried. I also met with Dr. Patel, who patiently answered all of my questions and explained everything in a clear and kind way. I really felt like all the people I met cared deeply for me. I have rarely had such a positive experience in a medical setting, and I am truly grateful for the care I received.

So my first appointment for exam and the dr finally after 2 hours shows up and he looks like he is still in med school and references the wrong eye that I am having issues with! what what? And he is the surgeon! So he says if I am uncomfortable with him try Adrian instead. So it's only a few days later and the staff are the worst of the worst as far as being human . They tell me they need to do all the tests again and double charge my insurance before Adrian can consult me! What that's a bunch of nonsense! So I am called after 45 min and the attempt to do all the exams again and I refuse. So they get mad and put me in a tiny waiting room with 10 others and I wait another half hour. While waiting I start choking and I hate to cough that close to people so I get out of that closet waiting room and take a quick move to a storage area and cough several times loudly. And I can't stop so I move quickly past staff that sees me but does nothing and get water to stop my choking. Then I return to the closet waiting room. Then a black haired over made up nurse calls me to a room. And all she does is starts scolding me for using the water with out permission and almost yells at me and slams the sliding door as she leaves. I am like oh no she is not getting away with that. So after the visit I ask for Sarah the office manager contact info. I emailed her and this is what I got and it has nothing to do with what happened! I came back for a second treatment for a retinal detachment. Its very important to take care of that issue before i become fully blind with that eye. I have to trust the person who is doing the lasering, and the Doctor here was great. It took about 15 minutes of lasering, and it stung a little everytime they lasered. The scariest part was taking two needle shots right into the eye. I actually cried a little and a few minutes later i was getting two needles right into the eye to numb the eye before lasering. Overall they were very professional, i just came back last week from a check up and everything checked out right. I trusted this place with my only good eye and they did a great job. I will continue to come here for any eye exams, trusted and recommended retina place.

You want someone like him, esp. if you're going to have eye surgery. Surgery and after care was excellent . The only complaint I have is his staff. They're NOT at all friendly, I felt they had an air about them, esp. the receptionist. I went in early -30 mins-for my after surgery exam(same day as surgery). The receptionist told me to take a seat and she would call me. She forgot about me, and 30 minutes later, I went to her and asked if I had missed my appt. She hurriedly gave my chart to one of the staff, but never apologized for the neglect. There was another incident later that week where again, I was not treated well by the receptionist. I would not go back there because of his staff. Sad because i absolutely like him, but Dr. Yomtoob needs to tell his staff to treat his patients with more respect and be more mindful of their medical needs.
