Though he specializes in wood fireplaces and would not be able to assist with my request at this time, he spent quite some time on the phone with me answering the many questions I had about my fireplace, and how I might be able to get it up to snuff. So rare to find a professional who is willing to give such detailed advice with no monetary gain for himself, and it was very obvious that he really knew what he was talking about. My main problems: 1) No permit pulled and I had to use leverage from the town permit department to get this done. 2) The old smoke smell still remains. 3) They dumped whatever they were using (mostly cement with chemicals: hard smelling), behind my house, in my yard, and l had to push for someone to come and remove some of it. I'm still worried because I have a well. 4) The workers were leaving before they finished one piece of work in the basement. I caught it on time.

The sales rep, Joe, informed me the previous work was not good or up to code and explained the problem and what they would to do fix it.
