Before I even showed up for the shoot I made sure that I expressed my anxiety via email about actually being in front of the camera for once. Marly's response was quick and totally put me at ease about any physical insecurities I was afraid would show up in High-Definition in front of the camera. She also gave me advice about what I should wear (makeup, wardrobe, and accessories) that would look good in front of the camera. I felt better going in but still very nervous. When I got there Marly was very patient with me as I had felt my face would do this weird nervous twitch as soon as the camera came out. Marly suggested we play some of my favorite songs I had downloaded on my phone which really helped me relax. Her encouraging words throughout the shoot helped me with my awkwardness :-) The equipment she used was quite impressive and she certainly knew how to use it. Overall, Marly made a nerve wrecking and potentially disastrous experience one that was pleasant and dare I say enjoyable. The pictures came out crisp and beautiful. When I arrived basic table and chair setups were not completed as requested and contracted. To the point I and some of my guest along with my caterer had to finish the setup. Then at one point at my event I noticed the owners husband helping himself to multiple plates of my family's food. I tried to remain cordial but when you have to overlook so much and still pay it is very hard. The husband and I had words during the planning and execution of my family's event more then once overall I found their management team to be rude and as if my business was a bother to them and was a problem. Money is GREEN and all humans when you pay you have a basic level of customer service expected it was not delivered. While the venue is pretty the management teams attitude is less then piss poor... if you want to be stressed out and irritated yet have your event at a pretty place then this is the venue for you. The stress and rudeness of their team was not worth the venues cuteness for me... I wouldn't recommend them to anyone and will never use them again. Maybe they treat brides better but my event was a very simple family event... and they failed miserably to do the most basic of things... and they had a HUGE insect issue that could have and should easily been controled by spraying NEVER AGAIN most brides are likely so in love that they are blind to the mess but this place would get a negative -1 from me if it were possible. We are so grateful that we met Serge and had the ability/talent to bring that out of us into reality. Our story begins with me and my wife meeting at the gym in a cycle studio for the first time years ago. The gym is our most sacret place for both of us. So we agreed to discuss our ideas to Serge. His reaction became very possitive, motivating which gave us the confident that we needed. My wife is also a coffee lover and he suggested to take some pictures in a fancy coffee shot. It was hilarious and different but absolutely loved it!! We also both love nature and like to spend time outdoors. He took us to a magical place that is relaxing and unforgettable. We had a specific time of the day to perform our photo shoot, unfortunately, we were running late and my wife was very worried if we would have enough time to fit all our plans. At the same time Serge had other appointments after our photo shoot. He called to check on us to see if everything was as planned. We then explained the situation. Took it so calm and professionally that he understood what we were going through. This helped build back our confidence and encouraged us to continue as we talk about. Planning for a huge photshoot does take alot of time and energy to make it perfect. He explained that everything will be amazing but it wasn't amazing, it was EXTREMELY WONDERFUL AND BEYONG OUR EXPECTATIONS. We shared our ideas with him and later brought everything we mention to reality. It was all detailed to perfection and nothing was left out. He's skills were organized neatly that it was breathtaking. We reached out to Molly and David via email and first met David in his studio in Frederick. The space is so super cool that I wanted it to be apart of my house. It was this cool industrial space that makes you say "whoa this place rocks!" David completed a custom quote for us since we didn't need a full day photographer and we found it very fair. Payment was easy over their website and Molly was great at communicating with us about timeframes for everything. We scheduled David far in advance. After we secured our date, we received a coffee mug and a small bag of coffee in the mail to say thank you. I loved the personal touch. It made my day. Then at Christmas time we received a tree ornament with both our names and est. year. Again, super cute awesome thoughtful idea. Tha day of the event, Molly and David were at the location well before the scheduled time and stayed well after when they should have. My guests loved them both and their photo booth that they brought with them. I would work with them again in a heartbeat. As a matter of fact, I have a professional event coming up and are using Spence again!
