Veritas (Jalene) has ghosted my family for many weeks post IRS communication, when contact is most critical, allowing for increased fees and interest to accrue. My family member is so frustrated with lack of service that she is losing sleep and anxious. This should NOT be happening! I do not recommend this agency. read more

I had used Veritas tax solutions for many years until I started getting letters from the IRS stating that I owed them more money. I received these letters on two occasions. I brought these errors to the attention of Jalene Greer. I can honestly say I have never been treated so disrespectfully by a "professional". I am not surprised to see other client reviews reporting that they have had problems with Jalene's rude behavior. I strongly advise finding a different company to conduct your business with so that you may be treated respectfully and as a valued customer. read more

They made mistakes that should never have been made. They taxed my SS benefits at the wrong rate. The IRS sent me a letter saying my 3k refund wasn't on the way and I needed to pay. I called them and left a message. The reviews my returns and claimed the IRS was wrong. We argued and they gave my return to Jalene to review. What do you know? The IRS was right. That wasn't the only mistake they made. They put my qualified medical expense withdrawals as other income. No cotact, no contact, e-mails "Are you there?" Unanswered. I finally loaded my temper and was extremely rude which is not my nature. I received a letter from Jalene saying we could no longer work together. I just gave up. I paid all the fines and penalties which came to several hundred dollars in addition to the the 3k the IRS determined I owed due to the misidentified HSA expense as Other income. Use Veritas at your own risk. The whole experience had been not just unpleasant but a nightmare. I have never had to file amended returns before. Their communication and attention to the matter was minimal. They just kept blaming DOGE and the IRS. This is an experience I want to put behind me. read more

Nice receptionist but rude preparers. The preparer I was working with was Uneducated about a tax credit. She confirmed with me in person my family qualified for the eitc not once but multiple times. Turns out I discovered on my own that we don't because idaho isn't one of the qualified states for credit. Lacey should have known because I was confused as to why we were hardly getting anything back. Then jaylene Greer operations manager yelled at me saying no such tax credit. But her own employee should have known. Jaylene was very rude and not professional. Don't ever go here. I thought they would be good because my parents go there and their friends and recommend me. I hope they realize they may go out of business soon without professionalism courtesy and knowledge. read more

Being new to setting up our business in Boise, we trusted Veritas and Ms. Greer as proprietor, to help us establish our bookkeeping services and provide proper tax returns. Sadly, for what ever internal reasons, we were remiss in knowing the chaotic internal problems of this upstart tax/ bookkeeping service. Excuses as to personal matters is initially accepted as a Christian. Having appointments missed, delayed and not responding to requests is unprofessional... Stating the client is "aggressive" in simple asking why their tax returns were prepared in such a manner, not accurate for the best of the client; is an indication of not looking out for your clients best tax aspects under prevailing guidelines in the tax code... Moreover, for the cost, you would be better off going to H & R Block! As to be so disappointed in service and later treatment to our concerns, we had to find a better tax & booking professional firm. Money is one thing, time is invaluable in such circumstances. We should have changed when we didn't here back in a business like time frame initially for almost thirty days, seeing a sign out front requesting help and having to request updates to our bookkeeping matters that were never set up initially ior addressed n the first place; has cost us in money and more so in time. I do not recommend this place at all. I went and met with Kara and will say her service was horrible. She did our taxes wrong and had us paying over 2000 more then we were suppose to pay. She wanted me to pay a deposit when her work was not only wrong but not complete. She threw my papers and me and told me to have a nice day in a very rude and disrespectful manner while I was trying to explain to her that I didn't feel comfortable paying like that. I spoke to the manager and she was very nice and helpful but apparently they allow that behavior cause nothing happened. I am disgusted that an employee can treat a customer like that and get away with it. read more
