Upon return, the owner and his daughter were unprofessional and belligerent, clearly not keen to honour their company policy. They insisted that it was USED ... because I had to see that it couldn't fit. They had zero concessions or regard for the customer experience, all they were obsessed with was losing money. STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS PLACE. There are heaps of bathroom places in the area, I would hit up National Apollo or even Bunnings before setting foot in this place! I walked into the shop, the bulk of the shop, where all the merchandise is, is cordoned off with red barrier posts. The method of this shop, this MSY, is that you go up to the counter and you tell the people what you want, they fetch it for you, you pay, you leave. Shopping experience completed. I wait in line for a while, there are only two people behind the counter and a few customers are milling about within the confines of the barriers. I tell him I want an external hard drive. "Two Terabytes" I say. He gives me some options and makes a recommendation. This is more customer service than I had expected. The device is much cheaper than you can get it elsewhere. A quick search of the internet confirms this. As I stood in line waiting for my turn I did overhear a conversation between the store clerk and a customer in regards to why they had more people in the store moving things around. Apparently they are changing the system up to be more like a classic shop where people can browse and walk about the property. Who knows how long that will be.

After explaining my predicament to one of the staff member, an older man, who looked like the best person to ask about electrical lighting, I was told to buy some parts here, and or go to a lighting shop for a pre-made alternative. After some further poking around the store, I found exactly what I needed, with no guidance from any further staff members. At checkout the staff we're less than impressed, and didn't engage with their customers further than just taking their money. It's only a hardware store, but some level of good customer service should still be expected.

The owner Danny who is also the auctioneer had so much energy and worked up the house so well, each piece was auctioned in a blink of an eye. When you first walk in the showroom had pieces of art hung all around the back walls with rugs on the floor and the statues in the middle. Before you know it the staff filled the whole room with chairs and all the art was taken down one by one ready for the new lucky owner to bring home. It was also their once every quarter auction so you can only imagine how packed the place was. They were kind enough to have complimentary snacks and coffee/tea which was a pretty good touch. However yesterday I rang their landline after receive a home contents auction brochure to enquire about holding one as we have some valuable art (Norman Lindsay, Proharts, David Boyd) and it was an appalling service experience. Unfortunately the line was poor and I was struggling to understand the 'gentleman' so I had to apologise and ask him to repeat himself a few times. Obviously this was annoying for him as he exclaimed very clearly "Jesus Christ!" as I asked him to repeat how many weeks were needed to allow for an auction. I said that I heard "that" very clearly and he didn't apologise which was the least that he could have done. Needless to say I won't be holding one of their inhome auctions (or recommending) in spite of the numerous times their website refers to their professional friendly service.
