That said, I've never felt more disrespected than I did during my interactions with Samantha the day before my wedding. Months in advance, I booked hair services through Samantha's team. Since she was unavailable, her artist Mandi did my hair trial. Mandi was lovely and perfectly recreated the style I wanted. I then booked Mandi for both my wedding and a pre-wedding event, along with services for four family members. This was all confirmed in our contract. 18 days before the wedding, Samantha informed me she'd be doing my hair instead. I had no issue and sent her videos/photos from my trial, plus a reference braid for the first event. She confirmed everything. However, just days before, I learned she wasn't aware she was booked for the pre-wedding event. I clarified it was in the contract, and she said she'd be there. At the pre-wedding event, Samantha arrived on time but was visibly irritated that a few family members hadn't yet arrived for their appointments. Although we reassured her they were on the way and she could leave by 7:30 PM regardless, she continued expressing frustration. While doing my hair, she was aggressive--jerking my head, using a harsh tone, and at one point accidentally stabbing my eye with her nail without apologizing. My friends and family felt the tension. I stayed quiet until the end, when I gently asked her to direct concerns to me or my aunt instead of my already-stressed mother. She agreed. She finished by 7:00 PM, and we offered her food and drinks. While the style itself looked great, I couldn't shake how disrespected I felt. The next day, she again arrived on time but was distant. She claimed not to have the reference pictures I had already sent her (again), so I resent them. She then told me part of my hair was too wet--despite washing it five hours earlier--and had no blow dryer. A friend had to dry it in the hotel bathroom. The hairstyle was decent but didn't fully match my trial look. In the end, while the hair was okay, her attitude, lack of organization, and dismissiveness were not. For the price paid, I expected professionalism and basic respect--neither of which I received. I won't be recommending her services.

I have had semi-permanent individual lashes before, but they seem to fall out so quickly and always burned my eyes at random times so I never kept up with getting the refills until Lex. I have consistently been going to Lex for over a year now and get so many compliments on my lashes when I am just running errands. I literally feel like I wake up beautiful because of my lashes. I feel confident just wearing moisturizer and sunscreen on my face on a daily basis as long as my lashes are on point. She makes my volume lashes look so natural! There's a guard at the front desk, just tell them know why you are there and they will buzz you up the elevator. The actual lash place is super cute and cozy. You have to lay for a long time so it's important that you are cozy. Her station is padded and plush. And not to mention she has a great view. Lex is super cool! If you wanna chat, she'll chat. If you wanna catch a quick nap, she'll let you nap. She typically plays really nice relaxing music... that GOOD R&B! The overall vibe is always CHILL. I wouldn't trade her for the world. Susan explained the entire process and took her time measuring and marking my brows. She gave me a couple of brow shape options and I picked the one I liked most. She used the pictures I had sent for her review and her customized brows were just as beautiful as the ones I would spend 30-40 minutes drawing. The environment and clinic bed were both comfortable and the music selection was pleasant during my appointment. She maintained touch points with me to ensure I was comfortable and to see if I needed a break. I was so comfortable I took a little nap. Once she was done, the brows were beautiful. The healing process was awesome for me. I followed her instructions and used the at home care products as she instructed. I went back for my 6 week touch-up appointment. I thought it was only going to be 30 minutes because to me the brows were perfect. Susan is such a perfectionist that she took as much time as the initial appointment adjusting the color and filling in where it was needed. I didn't think my brows could look any better but Susan outdid herself once again. I had immediate compliments after my initial appointment and the same response happened after my touch-up appointment. I'm beyond satisfied with the outstanding work performed by Susan.
