Based on the previous reviews, you clearly can't please everyone. I had a really good experience here coming for my first time. The medical staff listened to my concerns and provided information based on my concerns. Front desk was very kind. It was a bit of a wait but not terrible. Doctors are knowledgeable and helpful with the care being provided. Front desk is informative and attentive. I believe because this location is closest brooklyn and in queens it's usually had a lot of people. I usually go to other location and the walk in wait is not as severe as this one. If you plan on doing a walk in visit, DON'T. I've been to this place for emergency visits while being pregnant and it was not a good experience. Yesterday really took the cake when I was told it was about an hour wait and then was sitting there nearly two hours and there were still three people ahead of me. I walked out and said not to bill my insurance. People were walking out left and right. I should've got the hint. If your establishment cannot handle walk ins, you should be appointment based only (even though there was a woman who came in after me with an appointment and was told there was over an hour wait with an appointment, she walked out). Best doctor I have ever had. I am 61 and I will never switch. I just read all the reviews that talk bad things and It must be some like 1 psycho patient who decided to take out their childhood trauma or who knows what, on this incredible compassionate kind human being and an excellent MD. Dr GUPTA !!!!! You can actually walk in without an appointment , who else does that. Most doctors will have a wait, if they care enough about their patients rather than having you on a factory belt . She came recommended for perimenopause, but this has been the worst doctor experience of my life. She took a ton of blood work, but despite my laundry list of symptoms and crying in her office, she would not prescribe HRT unless I did some "Dutch test" which if you read about it is pretty much considered quackery (and perhaps why it's $600 and not covered by any insurance anywhere?). Also, I tried to call with follow-up questions and was told she "doesn't speak to patients on the phone". Um, okay Miz Self Important and Too Busy to Actually Care. So you have to log into a portal, send her a message, and then lo and behold some PA who admits she's working remotely(!) responds FOR Dr. Gupta. On top of that, it's now been more than two weeks since my labs were sent, and they still don't have them. Apparently, they are waiting on one, and the one they're waiting on, should not even be a consideration for whether I receive HRT, which I desperately need. I am following the masses and going to an online doc because this is madness and we all deserve better. Please please please don't go here. Don't go here!!! Waited 2 hours long to been seen while no one was in the waiting room. Then was not even seen by the doctor. Nurses were telling me different information and then got a surprise bill from my insurance for over $100 on things I never asked to get tested for. I went to Dr. Gupta for a few years but gradually over time it was apparent she became completely overwhelmed with all of her patients so she just started passing them on to assistants. And when you did see her it was only for a few minutes and then she had to leave to attend to another patient and left you sitting in the room waiting for her to come back and half the time she never did. When you spend time with her she is very nice but she has spread herself way too thin so her bedside manner is Really poorly lacking now. The whole office and everyone working in it is completely overwhelmed and understaffed! You will always be waiting at least an hour in a crowded room with screaming children and frustrated receptionists barking names out and demanding whatever paperwork needs to be done or money received. They take every single kind of insurance so be prepared to be sitting in the room with women who get to pay ZERO while you have to pay copayments and whatever else. Getting your results is almost impossible unless you consistently hound them or actually show up at the office demanding them. I finally stopped going to her when Dr. Gupta snapped at me for just asking a plain question. It was hurtful and out of line and at that point I was done! With all the money that she's making she needs to call a better cleaning crew to keep up with the high demand of patients in the revolving door of those offices because the whole Office and examining rooms lack and clean Look, smell or feel. read more

The office is always overbooked so expect to wait and I mean, wait! In an effort to make as much money as possible, the office books several patients at the same time as I learned for myself by looking at the sign in sheet and saw that several other women all had the same time of arrival as I did which explains the long, long wait. In addition, you will never get to see Dr. Gupta herself so if you're hoping to have a good doctor patient relationship, that will not happen. Also, if you're hoping for the doctor or even ANYONE in her office to call you with your results, that will not happen either. It's mayhem and confusion if you call and ultimately, it's "nobody's job" so good luck with a call back. The office is on auto pilot without a doctor present and every time I go there, I never see the same people twice. There is no consistency in this office. There are dozens of new faces every time I go there so the likelihood of anyone actually knowing your name or remembering anything about you or your medical history is zilch! Who wants to go see a doctor without actually seeing a doctor? We're there to see Dr. Gupta, not various nurse practitioners, I feel we're entitled to at least that much. My advice is to find a doctor that you can actually see and is there to talk to you about your concerns, remembers your name, and will call you back if something is wrong rather than direct you to the patient portal which was what I was told to do by one of the nurse practitioners. Dr. Gupta started off better than this, but now it seems her interest lies solely on making as much money as she possible can with minimal effort when it comes to her patients and it's us, her patients, that suffer the consequences. It's a shame because she does have a nice demeanor. I've had enough and it's time for me to find a new doctor. read more

It's been years since I have trusted her my first pregnancy what wind up being the biggest mistake of my life! She had cut me, unnecessary surgery, at the time I trusted everything to her. She had ignored me, I was laying there at the hospital for almost 2 days with her hardly picking up her phone. During my second pregnancy I wasn't feeling well one day and she told me to lay in bed, needless to say I bled out and lost a baby. What a devastating loss! She could care less. Dr. Smith was amazing and i called to make my annual appointment and she is now left, she was there for years. Since they became Walk in GYN not a good change. Many mistakes are being made and also many friends i know are no longer going to this provider. i moved out of state but always came to this office for my yearly check up, and before it was a walk in "clinic" you already had to wait very long, but Dr. Smith was worth the wait. Dr. Gupta is never the doctor you actually see. Unlike EVERY other gyno I've every booked with, you don't see the dr. You see her medical assistants (I've never even seen Dr. Gupta in the building). But the reason I'm actually never going back? The condescension of said medical assistant in my last visit. Absolutely horrid! It's hard enough having to change doctors (change of job means change of network sometimes). But you encounter ones that leave you feeling like you'd rather die of whatever ailment you have vs ever seeing them again. Find a more reputable, patient-centric doctors office! Been going here for years. I love this office. It's always a swift and easy process to get in and out. Staff is always friendly and helpful. Place is super clean and relaxing. I'm keeping a star due to the fact that I always feel like I have a different doctor checking me out. I have an issue I was seen for at Dr. Gupta's office due to an injury I suffered a few years ago with my c-section. I have never been so lost for words at what went wrong here--I was almost immediately told there was nothing they could do to help me and blown off. Each time I tried to touch base to see what my options were for care I was told there were no options. No one tried to get to the bottom of the issue or listen or help--they just shrugged and turned me away. If you have an issue you need help with they simply will not help. The worst doctor's office I have ever been seen at in my entire life. So much disorganization. The story is too long to type. First they sent the wrong prescription, then took another two days to send the right one. Then when i called for another prescription they said they sent it over but then they said they didnt have an pharmacy on file like whatt? Are yall smoking something over there? Im on hold for fourty minutes. Called back five times. Phone hangs up. Call again. Phone hangs up again. This is just a joke. I will never come back here. Stop playing with people's time!!! Been coming here for a few years. Had my last annual check up yesterday, and it was such a smooth process! I hate coming to the gyn but everyone was so sweet, especially Jessica who made me feel super comfortable when having to draw blood. The hours listed here are wrong so check their website or give them a call. Sometimes I've seen Dr. Gupta, most times I haven't, but I don't care, all of the medical professionals there have taken really good care of me including the one from yesterday but I didn't catch her name, and I appreciate all of the lovely ladies for that. Waited over 2 hours to be seen, had an appointment with Dr. Gupta and it wasn't until i was in the room that I was notified I was going to be seen by a PA. Waited 2 hours on a Friday afternoon for an annual exam which took less than 10 minutes. I was expecting to see Dr. Gupta but was attended to by one of the assistants instead. The examination room was dirty and there was no lid on the garbage can, bloody napkins were at the top - the exam seat was in very close proximity to the garbage which was full. After my exam, as I was putting on my shoes, I noticed drops of blood on the floor as well. Eeeek!! Even after the routine visit more than 2 months later, I'm still having difficulty contacting the office to inquire about multiple sets of testing that were submitted including some that I have specifically declined and am now getting charged for. I love Dr. Gupta, have seen her before at her other location and is an amazing person. Now her staff at the front desk in this new location is the complete opposite. They never pick up the phone. It was pouring outside and I couldn't find the new office therefor icalled 10x and no respond. They skipped me to accommodate another patient because I was late. The wait here is ridiculous!!The reason I was late was because I was never informed about the new location. Several times I caught them mumbling about me. To top it off one of them was on the phone with several family members constantly no wonder my calls don't go through. Definitely looking for a new place. read more

I'm extremely disappointed with the quality of service this office has. I have been going to Dr. Gupta's office for over 5 years and am confused as to why the appointment services are now terrible. I had an appointment at 1:45pm which I was on time for and did not get placed into a room to see a doctor til over an hour later and that is only because I mentioned I was on my lunch break and had to get back to work soon. The staff actively lies to you about the wait time to get you to stay and gave me the "you should be done in 30 min" or "you're up next" lines and assured me that there were no walk-ins so that was not the cause for the delay. It wasn't until after I was waiting in one of their rooms for 2 hours was I able to overhear other people talking outside also waiting for a doctor and that I was definitely not next. This was also a rescheduled appointment since the office emailed me a day before my actual appointment to let me know my appointment was cancelled and that I needed to reschedule. If I'm expected to follow their schedule and make an appointment and get there on time I also expect the office to follow their own appointment schedule as well. This office cares more about scheduling as many people in one day to bill everyone out and does not care about how long everyone waits. 2 hours is ridiculous and if I had waited to see a doctor it would have been longer. I walked out and attempted to tell the receptionist but at that point there were multiple people waiting to talk to her. So not only did they waste my time and kept my copay, but they have not contacted me since and I have not been able to reach them by phone either. Bottom line-stop prioritizing billing patients out and have a bit more consideration for other people's time. read more

Do not go here. They really could care less about you. It's all business and money for them. I came in one day because was experiencing some symptoms, they did blood work, culture, sonogram- everything came back normal (they didn't even call me to tell me that, usually they send me an email but whatever). The NP prescribed a cream, I finished it and still was experiencing the same symptoms. I call to see if they can give me a refill. They said I need to come back to be further evaluated. I did all the testing already, what else do I have to go back in for? For me to explain again the symptoms I have? I work at a doctor's office and usually when a medication doesn't work for a patient we send in a new one or if they aren't able to be seen for a while they just send the god damn refill. It's really not that hard. Now I have to use my own money to buy medication OTC. Why bother going to the doctor when I can treat myself right? read more

Office is so dark with no window at all. Front Desk area is like a 5inches space for you to write anything and the window to hang in paperwork is soooo narrow. This practice is not what is was 4 years ago. First routine wellness visit I walk in on time, front desk wants to collect co-payment she doesn't know why she's collecting but she just tells me is $25, know your insurance and find out if this is true because they will charge you a $25 dollar co-pay even if it does not apply to you. I waited two hours to be seen, horrible customer service. A few days later I get a call that not enough cells were collected at the time the Pap smear was done so I have to make a special trip for them to redo it, which I said ok mistakes happen we are human ,FYI I live 1 hour away and as a loyal patient I make a special trip to come to this office. Second appointment I walk in the front desk checks me in and then ask for $25 dollar co-pay again and so I informed her that my visit is a redo so I don't need to pay that. So I explained to her the situation and the wait time I experienced the last time, she informs me that is going to be a long wait because there's patients ahead of me, I asked her to please inform the provider the situation. The medical assistant calls me in shortly to take my vitals, I then also explained to her the situation and so she tells me in a rude attitude "there are many patients ahead of you and I can't rush the provider". The medical assistant then brings me in to one of the rooms with and attitude and slams the door. Poor customer service skills and bed side manner. I felt like a number. So now months have gone by and they are trying to hook on a $200 medical bill for a well visit. Oh by the way they also billed my insurance another $200 dollar for the second visit to redo pap. This doctor scared me so much. She gave me bad anxiety and to be honest she made me feel like I was just a number in her office. Didn't show any concern about me and gave me vague answers. I felt like I was just business to her. Never coming back here again. Thankfully I found another doctor who I love because he answers each and every question of mine, and is also nice and comforting. Have nothing but wonderful things to say about this Doctor. I had just moved so this was my first encounter. Dr. Gupta is amazing. I thank my lucky stars that I found her. She is so caring, kind, gentle,while at the same time so competent and very thorough with her explanations. Perfect mix of professionalism and down to earth personality. Dr.Gupta is simply terrific! Throughout my pregnancy with my son she was very attentive, detailed, and thorough. At every appointment she made sure all of my questions were answered and that I left with peace of mind. I'm a nervous person and worrywart so it was important that I find a doctor who would be patient with me. Dr.Gupta is so intelligent and experienced; you can trust that she knows what she is doing. She also has polite bedside manner. Plus, she dresses so impeccably well I was jealous of her wardrobe! She is definitely a keeper and I recommend her to everyone. read more

I won't go into specific details as I don't feel entirely right about sharing my women's health on the World Wide Web (LoL), but it must be said that Dr. Gupta is highly recommended by myself and many others. For years, no doctor would listen to me or take me seriously, but Dr. Gupta was warm, caring, understanding and competent and was ready and able to help me right away. She didn't pass me on to someone else or think I was a hypochondriac (LoL). She looks very young, but she carries herself well, and she knows what she's doing (she also has great style). She's a great balance of being professional and humane. Her office can get very busy at times, but the wait is worth it. Earlier appointments are recommended. She is also a skilled surgeon. If you live in Queens, it's worth it to go and see Dr. Gupta and even if you don't live in Queens and have a serious concern, Dr. Gupta is worth the travel. read more

I feel very ambivalent about writing this review but I have too. First off, I scheduled an appointment with Dr. Gupta but was instead assigned to another Gyno. The other Gyno was friendly and understanding when I told her I was expecting to see Gupta, she asked if I wanted to wait but I said 'no, it's okay'. During our interaction I felt like I was heard but cut short as to being explained what was going on. Also, I wasn't asked if there were any other questions or a conclusion to our appointment (e.g. Going over all the things we spoke about to be clear everything was understood). Then, I was told that they were going to get my medical records from the hospital and to call within a week to confirm they received it... Well... I waited 3 weeks and NOTHING. Then I decided to call the medical record department at the hospital and they told me they had never received a request. I called Gupta's office again and told them and even gave them the fax # but they never got back. All we needed to know was whether or not I received my annual papsmear. I found this experience to be frustrating , disorganized , and careless. The staff were nice and patient but it felt like they did their work half way. I remember the day of the appointment I told them I can call myself to make sure but they insisted they would handle it. Basically, they aren't too organized with their duties. But, we all have different experiences and this was mine. Now, I am waiting to meet with a new Gyno and hopefully they can get my medical records to receive my proper check-up. All best. read more

I was recommended to come to this clinic by my primary physician. In short, Dr. Gupta is amazing, but the scheduling and some of the staff are not. Dr. Gupta is extremely attentive to concerns, and an overall nice person. However, the wait for this clinic at a minimum is 1 hour past your scheduled time. Last time I went, I had an appointment for 4:20 and was not seen until around 8. I didn't even see the doctor, but her nurse practitioner. If you are willing to wait for great care, than this is the place for you. read more

It's a small and cozy clinic and has really great music playing in the waiting area :) Dr. G and the staff were nice. The only thing I didn't like or appreciated was the fact I've to came the office and filled up my paper work a week in advance so I wouldn't be waiting too long but when I went back the next week, I got to the office half hour before my appointment yet I was not seen almost an hour and 15 mins later. This was my first experience so I will keep you guys updated after my next visit. Hopefully I wouldn't have to wait for an hour for my next visit. read more

I don't like going to this doctor. Most of the time, you don't even get to meet the doctor but a PA. No personal connection with doctor and patient. You'll have to chase them around to get your results. Nobody will bother to call from this office. Every time you see someone different during your appointment and they tell you something totally new. Only saving grace is the girl at the reception. I've found myself another Gynecologist and she resolved my issue after meeting her once. read more
