What a quaint little Store ! I saw it while we were driving along three from Lake Placid to Niagara Falls. The artwork is turquoise Heaven! and keep your eyes open for the frogs. If you are a cat lover, you'll love the store! I'm from Las Vegas and we don't have unique little stores like this it's definitely a boutique where is returning to! read more

This store has a wonderful selection of sterling silver jewelry with gemstones and other unique Adirondack type items. They have hand carved wooden items, and artwork for local artists around the Adirondack area. The saleswoman was personable and friendly as well. read more

10 YEARS go my friend and I, on vacation, happen upon Adirondack artworks... we parked an were impressed.. having money to spend.. we entered the store, waiting to purchase some treasures...only to have the sales gal or owner throw us out!! rudely also... I wasn't in the store for 5 min. but what I did see was nice... I am very disappointed in their web site as it doesn't show the treasures I saw... now we have moved up there an still have never been back // not a nice way to do business.... we had cash also... but she didnt care... maybe its a front or another business// jacqueline stumpf... fineslady 1@ aol.com read more

Absolutely Amazing! I use to go here every summer with my Uncle and sister! Tremendous pieces of jewelry, artwork, pottery, and sculptures. The owner is a joy! She tells you the stories of the pieces of work, takes tremendous pride in her business. My Uncle and I were struggling to make selections and had so many stories with the owner that we lost track of time and spent 3 hours in there! Please visit! I'll be visiting soon again! read more

My friend and I walked through the front door during regular store hours and were asked to leave because one of us didn't buy anything the last time. We were told to look at instagram next time we want to see things. The whole place wreaked of marijuana. read more

Specializing in personal customer service and an intimate gift shopping experience we here at the gallery try our best to make our customers feel at home while viewing our products. As a family owned and operated small business we pride ourselves on our continuously rotating displays of new decor as well as our extensive jewelry collection.

History

Established in 1987.

Established in the late 80s by Donn and Nicole Alfredson, Adirondack Artworks started out as a very small cooperative of mostly local artists. Including Bobby Arnold, Tink Howland, Jeanne Lampson, John Morrow, Paul Martin, John Reynolds and Avis Brown-to name just a few. As the times progressed the gallery expanded its collection dramatically to include a large selection of mineral specimens and home decor items such as wool rugs, stained glass and pottery. And nowadays has developed into a boutique gift shop with a cultural arts theme specializing in statement pieces of all varieties. In addition to an extensive selection of crystals, from large museum quality specimens to Cabochons.

A beautiful store with a delightfully tranquil ambiance. Inside you will find a stunning selection of fine jewelry, gemstones, paintings, wood sculptures, novelties, authentic Native American cultural items and much more. Variety is the spice of life they say and this store has plenty of that. The two adorable cats that wander around and the kind, hospitable saleswoman were the highlights of my shopping experience. The set up of this store is quite charming. Large carvings pull your attention from the beginning and upon further inspection you will find the extravagant jewelry display. You will not find jewelry this unique anywhere else in New York. The staff helped me find just what I needed for Christmas gifts in a pinch. Definitely check it out if you're in the area! read more
