This new business doesn't care about patients, nurses, safety, or schedules. The only reason I've given it 2 stars instead of 0, is because of my nurse and this local office manager, who do care about patients. The company seems to only care about rules for employees (which keep changing to make things more dangerous or inconvenient for patients and nurses, but more profitable for the company) and their profits. There is a high turnover among the nurses. The only reason I am still here is because my nurse, who is excellent, is still here. If she leaves, I am out of here.

Within 10 minutes I had all the paperwork sorted out and was on my way. At Advanced Diagnostics, the machines are open and upright so they're inherently more comfortable than the traditional tube style MRI. But what makes this a truly 5 star facility is the staff. They make you feel very comfortable and cared for at every turn and they transform an uncomfortable hour long procedure into something relatively tolerable. I was very grateful to have had a technician like Dot who did everything she could to make me feel at home while going through this procedure. She's the best. My spinal cord was injured, and I presented her with textbook symptoms, stockings and gloves, of a spinal injury, with searing pain head to toe, worse in the extremities. She prescribed minimal medication, no pain medication, no referrals to see a specialist, no imaging studies. She said a seatbelt injury could not cause you to pass blood. It wasn't until time had passed where I could not take the pain any longer, and worsening conditions, that I demanded an MRI from this practice, and it revealed a compressed spinal cord needing immediate surgery, among other surgeries needed. It wasn't until I demanded to see a neurologist and neurosurgeon to interpret the results, which saved me from living in a wheelchair. She needs to go back to medical school and put the lipstick away. Dr. McElwain was just as bad as a doctor. He is good for basic medicine but not knowledgeable in trauma cases. This practice is a big failure.

When she goes to the registration desk to check in, they never let her stand for a long time. The waiting area is always clean, as well as the bathrooms. Once in the examination room, she is treated with patience and respect. I really like her doctor as well. Her name is Michelle Powell, and I believe she is a nurse practitioner. Ms. Powell seems to love her job. Always making my relative feel like she is her only patient. Really hearing her. If you are elderly or take care of someone elderly, you know this is a very important quality to have. Most people treat the elderly like they are invisible. If I didn't like my own doctor, I would certainly think about switching to her practice. Ms. Powell has even called her at home to check on her. How many doctors do u know that do that?
