When my mother doesn't feel like cooking lunch or dinner, she just sends one of my brothers to buy three orders of Liempo Sisig (one order is good for one or two persons). Their Liempo Sisig is tasty, but I like it better with a bit more seasoning. I usually add the juice of one calamansi, less than a teaspoon of soy sauce and it's perfect. As is the ginataang sigarilyas and tortang talong. Generally, the food is well-made, so much so it has become part of my restaurant rotation. (I'm not so hot about their dessert line though and would recommend going somewhere else for such.) One thing however is how they take their theme too seriously. The effort to write and speak in straight Filipino can get...a bit contrite. (They call their guests senorito and senorita, Spanish words, yes, but also a reminder of our colonial/feudal past. To unburden this imagery of slavery, they should have chosen ginoo and binbini.) But all in all, the place is well-designed, the dining sets are comfortable, the China's nice and the cutlery is on the fine side, making it the perfect place for family dinners and to bring balikbayans or foreign guests to.
