Filipino street food but in a restaurant!! What a find!! I loved the food here! I was looking for a unique place to eat with friends and this place popped up! The place looked to be new or redecorated based on google maps. It's in Quezon City and easy to find using a Grab Car. We were seated right away. Place had a lot of people coming and going. There is outdoor seating that I could see but it was rainy season so it was not set up for it. There is AC in the resto which was nice. We had pork and chicken isaw basically intestines bbq. It's much bigger than what I get in the States and tastes better, too! We also had bulaklak, pork bbq on a stick and sisig! Everything tastes great! I also had to have mango shake! I did want beer but we didn't have a long time to lounge and stay so that's why I had a shake instead. I even ordered to-go for my family! As for service, it was as expected with all our requests but I would have loved a friendly vibe to the people that served us but it seems normal here for the locals in the Philippines! LOL Will still recommend this place...I will definitely come back here! [89/100]

Enjoying our lunch.

Lola Ote! I went here with my groupmates. BBQ on point! even the isaw...which i tried for the first time here. It was like better street food and safe! The sisig was OK i've had better in the province. This spot is better I think for bbq items. The isaw was chewy...knowing what it was threw me off. But my groupmates really enjoyed it. We also ate something like chicharon, but instead it was made of the intestines of the pig. It's actually not bad when you don't think about what it really us. The service was OK. Food came out slow and it wasn't that busy when we arrived. It did get busy later on in the day. It is near the GMA station and so they get a lot of customers from there. The restaurant itself is small. Has 2 large table and 3 small tables inside if I remember correctly. I want to go back here and get some good bbq!

Lola Ote is a restaurant that is growing in popularity among foodies for serving excellent pork BBQ, isaw, pork tenga, and other Pinoy streetfood. I am not fond of chicharong bulaklak, isaw, or pork tenga but Lola Ote does have one of the best sisig dishes that I have had in a very, very long time. Its version of pork sisig is not too oily or greasy, and it does not have too much onion or liver. Sulit na sulit! And their sisig is served already seasoned with kalamansi. There really is no need to squeeze kalamansi or mess around with hot sauce, liquid seasoning, and other condiments. Another bestseller is its 18-inch pork BBQ, served on hanging skewers. It tastes like the classic Pinoy pork BBQ except with more meat per serving. I could have this for lunch everyday. Very good value for money. We were also served pansit bihon and sinigang na hipon. I would have preferred a little more soy sauce or patis in the pansit, for better color and taste. And the sinigang was a bit timid, only mildly sour. I would have preferred something more punchy. The dining area looks amazing for a restaurant that serves affordable Pinoy streetfood. I hope they accept reservations for parties and private functions. #TheFoodCrawlers

The problem with street foods is that they are being sold on the streets, meaning, they can be dirty because of the pollution, or you do not know where the ingredients come from. At Lola Ote, you can have a go on your favorite street foods without worry. The ambiance is also comforting and great for hang-outs. Growing up in a conservative Chinese family, we were never allowed to eat street foods. But as kids, who hasn't tried the safer ones of fish balls, squid balls, and kikiam? But that's probably as far as I would go for street foods. So, having heard that I would be eating exotic street foods like isaw (chicken intestines), tito (pork intestines), and chicharon bulaklak, I got excited. The "exotic" street foods were not bad. They have been marinated and have a sweet flavor. Everything is ready to eat, but if you want a more "cleansing" feel, dip them in the provided vinegar which actually has good taste as well. The isaw is chewy and stretchy. The tito is soft and spongy with a little taste of fat. The pork ears are also tender with an almost similar texture as a sea cucumber. Aside from street foods, they also offer favorite Filipino classics like Kapampangan-style sisig, Sinigang na Hipon, and Seafood Bihon Guisado. The sisig is crunchy and has more meat than onions which is better. It also comes with no egg. I like their version of sinigang because it is not very sour but has a sweet aftertaste. The guisado was a little bland for me. It didn't absorb the flavor of the seafood toppings, would probably need more soy sauce or calamansi. The main reason you would want to visit Lola Ote is their barbecue. It is the best as they claim and I completely agree with them. Their barbecue is very meaty yet very tender. Paired with rice, it is a complete meal and very addicting too. They are served creatively in a hanging skewer. Try their 18" version, you won't regret it.

The restaurant has a classy, well-thought-out atmosphere with authentic Filipino charm. I ordered the Fried Pla-Pla fish, which looked incredibly appetizing and tasted even better. I also tried the Pork Sisig, served on a sizzling plate, and it was outstanding. The combination of textures, flavors, and presentation made it a real standout dish. If I had one minor criticism, it would be that the service was a bit slow. However, that was easily outweighed by the quality of the food and the overall experience. Highly recommend this place, and we'll definitely come back if we have the chance.

I ordered the kare-kare which I haven't had in years that seeing it in front of me made we want to devour the entire bowl of red-orange velvety soup with tender oxtails and tripes and yummy veggies. My coconut water on the shell was sweet but was room temp. Oversized, it was a great experience. Highly recommend!

The restaurant is part of the LJC Group of restaurants so it pretty much knows what it is doing. It offers mostly Kapampangan fare with a gourmet touch, so imagine the richness and strength Pampanga's cuisine is known and add a touch of sophistication. PROS: My SO and I went here for a date to celebrate something (I'm not sure what it was anymore, tbh.) and the place was perfect. It is intimate enough for good conversation and the ambiance was comfortable with its Filipino furniture and décor; The food is adequately filling and priced reasonably. The bagoong rice was actually good enough to be eaten on its own but we enjoyed its other offerings as well. CONS: it's a bit full during dinner rush on weekends so make sure you get a reservation so you can get seated immediately. TL;DR: Fresh and wonderfully cooked Kapampangan dishes to delight every taste bud.
