How to rate Adolph's? It's a no frills (including windows) beer and whisky joint, with a menu and pool tables. What are the clientele like? Well, WTF do you expect. They are good, simple folk that enjoy a good time. You want something more sophisticated? Go about 0.25 miles down the road toward the mall and really sophisticated place overlooking a retention pond. My brother went into Adolph's yesterday, and was forcefully dragged out of the bar and was accused of stealing someone's wallet. My brother would never do such a thing and was searched and never had the wallet. They said they had him on camera, and LIED. You should be ashamed of yourselves. Do not come to this establishment unless you want to be targeted, assaulted, and publicly humiliated for no reason. I fully expect an apology and for Adolph's to make this right. read more

On Friday night 3/17/23, me and my partner stayed at the bar till closing time and had 1/4 left of our drinks and we wanted to finish it. 5 minutes after 2am one of your staff guys was very rude and assaulted my woman by grabbing her drink out of her hand and spilling it all over her and kicking us out! He was very aggressive and rude. The Staff member that did this, his name is Jim Tran. You can say Thank you to Jim Tran because you just lost 2 customers. How can anybody give this dive more than one star? On a recent visit, literally every staff member we encountered was rude and uninviting. Two of my male friends went to the dance floor and started two-stepping together. One of the workers immediately sauntered over and told them that they were not allowed to do that. The staff had no problem allowing two women to dance together. We immediately left and will not be returning. Sexist and discriminatory. Also, apparently all of their clocks are 15 minutes ahead. They rudely take up all drinks, flip on the lights, and kick paying customers out at 1:45 a.m. That's their prerogative, but maybe they should change their hours of operation. Lastly, their billing process is very strange. They deduct a certain amount (perhaps as a safe-guard against overdrafts) and then put it back in later, deducting the difference of your bill. Confusing. The bartenders do not make you aware of this when opening a tab. In fact, when I went to close my tab, the bartender told me that somebody had already closed it. THEY LET SOMEBODY ELSE CLOSE MY TAB! Frustrating. read more

I love this place! Took a group of people for karaoke and it was a great time! Cheap drinks, nice sound system, cool vibe, and an all around blast! This is a definite recommend. They have karaoke every night of the week starting at 9pm. This is my new "once a month" karaoke "go-to". read more

For reasons unknown, myself and a few other guys though it would be a good idea to sing some Conway Twitty songs in public at 1 am on a Tuesday night. The general consensus around Lubbock was that Adolph's would be a good place for karaoke. When we finally found it, we ended up abstaining from the karaoke. But we had a few drinks and shot some pool anyway. It was a slightly older crowd from what I can remember. I didn't think the drinks were too expensive, but maybe for a Lubbock bar? My buddy cashed out my tab, so maybe it was expensive, I don't know. Anyway, it wasn't the coolest place, but not too bad...I had fun. But I was half in the bag and felt good enough to have fun at a vertical turbine pump convention. read more

I recently moved to Lubbock and Adolph's has become a favorite just to enjoy a drink and being around others. Karaoke every night is fun to watch (I'm not brave enough to do it myself) and the wait staff is always friendly. I haven't yet tried the burgers but I do hear they are good. My only wish is it would be non-smoking but that's just my personal preference. I can deal with the smoke in exchange for the enjoyable experience each time. read more

It's been about 4 years since the summer I spent in Lubbock, and we went to Adolph's 4 nights a week at least. It felt like home. Let me say this, I'f I ever find myself within a hundred miles of Lubbock again, I'll go to Adolph's for a night. Easily my favorite bar in town! The crowd is usually very diverse, from college students up to older folks. Great drink specials, every day of the week has a good special going. Watching and participating in the karaoke is always a blast! You'll hear many classics from "Don't Stop Believing," to "Sweet Caroline," and "Margaritaville." Bathrooms are always very clean, I don't think I've ever seen them dirty. Only downsides are it's a smaller bar, so it'll get packed quickly, but most people are very friendly there. Also, it's a bar that allows smoking, if that's not for you, then this isn't the place for you. read more
