    pool table

This place has so much potential but is clearly poorly managed. We were here on a Saturday night. Place was dead, bar was dirty. Pool tables were in terrible, filthy condition, very unlevel and extremely dirty. Our waitress could have cared less. She didn't know the menu or alcohol selections. We had to hunt her down for napkins and the check. Brought food with no utensils or napkins. Spent the entire time at the bar with her friends who got to play pool for free. It's who you know right?? To add insult to injury the food sucked and since the restaurant was so filthy we question the safety of our food. Time for some serious management here.

Cricket's seems to be a big go to bar on Broadway. Their karaoke nights are a hit, but their service, cleanliness, and drinks are what make this review more so brutally honest. Service was horrid. Nobody came to wipe down our table, so we did it ourselves. We watched a server check her phone more often than the tables. Food took over an hour to be served and wasn't worth the wait. The drinks were below average, little to no alcohol in them & bad flavor. The place definitely needed a good cleaning, especially their bathrooms. Something needs to change, I'm not sure if the servers even had designated areas to cover? We eventually flagged down a server to take our order, she did the best that she could especially with how lively it got in there. For reference, our most recent visit was in the early afternoon on a Saturday before the game. Overall, this is a messy, college bar. You can't have too high of expectations at places like this, but I feel as if it could've been a better experience.

Great locale to watch Monday night football!

We dropped by to watch Monday night football, play pool eat & drink. Exceeded our expectations as the beer menu was vast & the food was really more upscale than I would have anticipated. I must emphasize the onion rings!!! Crisp & battered in some airy heavenly goodness which I am sure is a locked up recipe. I shall go on & say they are the best onion rings I have indulged in ever.... Plentiful TVs to watch the game on & during halftime enjoyed pool, jenga, shuffleboard & Taylor the door staff is just delightful! Oh & the vintage pics in the game room were quite intriguing; I could look & ponder for hours. Drink pours are ample the establishment is clean & warm. It just screams raucous fun in phenomenal surroundings & personable & engaging staff! Heart, heart heart this place!

Cricket's is EVERYTHING! They have the BEST STAFF in all of Lubbock! Their staff is friendly, fun and welcoming. Their food is not bar food- it is a delicious meal! Their steak tacos are delicious. The kitchen sink burger will make you fall in love. Their chicken tenders are the best around. Their drinks are always on point and the atmosphere can range from super chill to a raging party. Crickets is the favorite Lubbock spot for celebrity sightings from everyone's favorite vampire, Edward Cullen (Robert Pattinson) to Dallas Cowboy, Tony Romo and also other artists stop in to check out the best beer bar in town! Friday nights are the best with a live DJ, Sunday Brunch is always a must, as well as Karaoke Mondays. Any day is a good day come to Cricket's because it always feels like home

Wings. The most pathetic $9 order of 6 wings on the planet. Don't wast your money.

The outside and inside general vibe is like that "millenial burger spot". Nothing necessarily wrong with that, but just so you know if you're looking for something different. I personally got the Kevin Bacon burger. It has bacon, blue cheese, and the regular veggie toppings that you'd come to expect on a burger. I thought this burger was good. The blue cheese wasn't overwhelming and went well with the meatiness of the patty which I felt was decent sized. Now the one aspect about Twisted Root that really surpised me... the pickles. They have a gah damn pickle bar! In these giant barrels! I don't even like pickles on their own, but the variety of options was enticing. They have dill, bread & butter, ranch, sweet & spicy, and atomic. It was really fun just getting to try the different options with the burger. They're all made in-house. My personal favorite was the sweet & spicy. Though I don't think you can go wrong with any of them. Pickle lover's paradise. All in all, I'm really glad I came here. I'm fortunate to have had wonderful, welcoming company take me here. It was a good way to finish the Lubbock trip. I wish I could come back, but those cards may not be in my future anymore. Lubbock isn't so bad after all. I really am going to miss it. Sorry, got side-tracked. Twisted Root is definitely worth visiting!

Everything about this place was fantastic. The food was absolutely amazing. The burgers were cooked perfectly, the fries were delicious, and they have a great selection of beers to go with it. You can tell they take pride in what they serve. What really made the experience stand out, though, was the staff. Our waiter, Drew, went above and beyond. He took the time to walk us through the menu, answered all our questions, and kept bringing extra sauces, jalapeños, and anything else we might want without us even having to ask. Another young man named Zo stopped by our table twice just to check in and make sure everything was perfect and to see if there was anything he could do to make our visit even better. That kind of attention and genuine hospitality really made an impression. The atmosphere is fun and welcoming. My mom and I might be a little older than some of the crowd, but we felt completely comfortable and right at home. Great food, great vibe, and outstanding service. I was back in Lubbock visiting my girlfriend after she had come to see me in Austin the last few times, and we were planning our weekend. I had previously taken her to The West Table to celebrate her graduation, and since we loved it, we knew we had to go back. Last time we went was an amazing experience. We had their arancini as our shared appetizer. She had their Roasted Beet Salad and the Grilled Rack of Lamb, while I had their Caesar and their Cast Iron Seared Duck Breast, which was amazing. We also enjoyed their specialty drinks. This time we arrived for our 7:00 reservation and were greeted and sat immediately. We both ordered a drink to start the night. I started with the Hibi-Jibi, a hibiscus and gin drink, while she had the Peach Ring Margarita. West Table is a farm-to-table scratch kitchen concept, so it's very important that you order all your food from appetizer to main course up front to give them time to craft it at the right pace. The West Table is at the floor level of the luxurious Pioneer Condos. It sits right across from their sister location, The Brewery LBK, and even serves their current brews on location. However, opting for their brews and not their cocktails is a mistake in my opinion because their specialty cocktails are truly one of a kind. The restaurant itself is beautiful. It feels like a ballroom and all the tables are well spaced out. In the back is the open kitchen where you can see all the chefs putting in hard work and mastering each meal. All around, there is great energy. We started with their Roasted Bone Marrow. I was worried about the idea of eating bone marrow since that was something I had never had before, but my girlfriend assured me it would be great. The bones were filled with an onion jam and lemon caper vinaigrette that were placed inside the bone. You could spread the jam and vinaigrette on their grilled bread, which was fantastic as well. It was purposely charred and really added to the jam's flavor profile. We then split their Caesar Salad, and it was a needed divider between our appetizer and entree. Their salad is a good portion for one person, and it was still satisfying being split for two. It was the perfect amount of salad. We got our next drinks ordered to go alongside our main entree. My girlfriend ordered their Fig Old Fashioned, while I got the "C" Monster, a celery-infused vodka drink with a name that sounds so stupid saying out loud that I almost changed my drink after saying it. Can I get the C Monster? WHAT A FOOL. The drink was really solid. The celery flavor was super noticeable, but in a good way. It balanced with the vodka quite nicely. For our main entrees, my girlfriend got their Salmon over Angel Hair pasta, and I got their Pork Chop over mashed potatoes and asparagus. The noodles with the salmon were strong with a very heavy Cajun kick, which complemented the crispy salmon piece, but my pork chop was the star of the show. They recommended it medium, so I got it medium, and it was delightful. Portions of the pork chop were nice and fatty, while others were lean and tender. I was a big fan of its flavor, and the sauce and mashed potatoes really added to it. Perfectly fluffy mashed potatoes. We closed the night with no dessert, but dessert drinks. My girlfriend got The Cold Fashioned (a mix between a smoked old fashioned and coffee liqueur), and I got the Buenas Noches, which mixes coffee liqueur, chocolate liqueur, and orange liqueur. Of all the "nice" restaurants in town, West Table stands alone. It has a price tag but still feels fair. Everything we had was top notch, and I still think they've made the best duck I've ever had. Their waitstaff is attentive and amazing and really sells the experience. At the end of the night, she was happy, I was happy, and West Table proved itself to be the LeBron of Lubbock restaurants.
