Kent managed all our special requests: catching candid pictures of the most important moments, avoiding group posed shots, and even curtailing my uncle who fancies himself a professional photographer. Mostly, he took beautiful pictures that we will treasure forever. What I really like about our wedding pictures is that they don't all look the same! Some are bright and airy, others are more sophisticated, some look like they belong in a newspaper. He captured each moment perfectly, instead of just taking the pictures. He also encouraged us to take our couples shots against the graffiti art in the alleyway (the wedding was at an art gallery), which all turned out beautifully! So, leading up to our wedding, I let Kristy Rowe, our photographer, know all about my then fiance's fear of the camera. On our wedding day, Kristy totally worked her magic. We had decided to do photos before the ceremony (which I would reccomend to any couple!). His recommendations were great for our hiking locations and his knowledge of the area was super helpful once it really started snowing since we had to adapt our plans for the day due to weather. He's super relaxed and calming and has a more "fly on the wall approach" to photography, which we loved. Since Nicole started in a portrait studio, she has a great eye for portrait photography while still capturing the mood and emotions of the people and event. Further, Nicole is such an easy person to work with! From the beginning, her customer service was wonderful. She spent a good amount of extra time getting the best engagement photos of us that I have seen to date. She even went ahead of time to scout out the shoot location to get our route and timeline planned so we got the best pictures at the best locations at the best times. Our engagement photos at CU Boulder (University of Colorado Boulder) turned out spectacular. The day of the wedding, she arrived on time, ready to go, and focused.
