Today ADT came to do a cell update and Brodrick was our service technician. We appreciated that he had a mask on and also put booties on as soon as he entered the house. (Especially since it was raining heavily.) We were called when he was on his way with an approximate arrival time and also received an email at the same time. Brodrick arrived with his supplies and immediately began completing his task on the update. After checking everything and explaining what was done he left. A service notification was also produced as an email for our records. This technician was punctual, professional and courteous. read more

I can't give a low enough rating on this bozo of a company. Everyone I spoke with is shady. I suppose to get a discount through my insurance company as a promotion ie.. equipment and installation for free.... NOPE. The tech that installed the equipment told me I needed all this extra stuff.... and then a " supervisor " showed up telling me something completely different. And when I called to complain and try and work through the situation I was told instead of 19.99+ I was on the hook for 84 and some change a month. I would not recommend this nightmare on ANYONE! I WAS a long time customer of ADT...almost 14 years...but NEVER again! As part of the divorce just this past spring, we had to sell the house, and I was left with a $1200 equipment bill (which I paid) and a $1498.77 remaining balance on my service contract. After no less than 5 separate calls to ADT, each of which ended up in their representatives: Juan, Claudia Ramirez, Nelson, Chelsea, and Janice, they all assured me that I was not going to be billed until I started service in my new home. Well, on August 17th, ADT charged me the full amount. I called and spoke with the Account Manager Janice, and she referred me to the Billing Supervisor. They informed me it was their policy to charge the service contract balance unless service is restored within 30 days. I still have not found a home to have the service. They would not reverse the charges. I never disputed that I owed the $$$, it was asll about I was told no action would be taken until I got into my new home. Billing told me that ALL the previous folks were wrong, but they were not going to reverse the charge at this time. If thats how they treat a person who has been with them for almost 14 years, and who has just gone thru a horrific divorce...they have no compassion... its always about the money. After 22 years of services with ADT Security Company, paying my bills faithfully on and before time I was forced into upgrading my system, which I did not want to do or ask for.  ADT said the upgrade was necessary because my system was older it was fully "hardwired" except for two smoke detectors which were wifi equipped.  My one wifi smoke detector went bad in the middle of the night sometime before 09/12/23. I called ADT and got many different answer as to what was going on then after many, many phone calls to ADT I was able to get a virtual tech appointment 1:30pm-2:00pm on 09/12/23. I was told by the tech that they would ship me a new smoke detector at no charge after she got an approval, it would be the same one like the one I have, she had me give her the model number and she schedule me another virtual appointment for 09/18/23 to walk me through replaceing the bad detector to the existing mount. She disconnected the bad detector from the system over the phone so the system could be armed without during a bypass. On Monday 09/18/23 after receiving my scheduled virtual callback thing took a different turn.  The person that called wasn't sure why he was calling, I explained my issue and said to him that my smoke detector hadn't been received yet and the mail was just running so I went to the mailbox while on the phone with tech, but it wasn't in the mail. He did some checking and told me it was never mailed out the order was place but when it got to where it was being filled it was cancel do to the fact that I didn't have a service agreement which they knew in the beginning that's why an approval was given I received no call to let me know there was a problem. He worked hard to see what he could do, he had me send him a picture of my key panel, asked me different questions about my system before he talked to someone else that told him a tech would have to install the detector and that I made need an upgrade. I said I did want to upgrade I just needed a new smoke detector and per my first virtual visit it was being replaced with the same model I already had so I wasn't sure why there would be a problem. He told me the cost and I said I would have think about it.  After making some more calls to ADT and getting a lot of different information they said they can just give me the new smoke detector for no charge, and then they can't my systems not compatible I need to upgrade the story kept changing based on who you're talking to.  I then called to cancel my services on 09/27/23. I talked to a very, very nice person who worked hard with getting me what I needed to upgrade my system at no cost to me including the $99.00 cost of installation as a credit on my account. At this point I was getting an upgraded system at no cost. My old system consisted of: 4 Doors wired 2 Smoke Detectors wifi 1 heat Detector wired 2 motion detectors wired 2 keypads wired 1 sirens wired The new system would consiste of: Command 7in Touchscreen LTE Plug-in Radio Module, AT&T or Verizon Carrier version Wireless Sensors Bundle with: Smoke Detector, 2-way Encrypted Wireless Hardwired-to-Wireless Flex Translator (which per reprersentive would keep all the hardwired part of the system working no need to change or add anything eles) 7in Wireless Color Touchscreen WALL MOUNT FOR WTS700, ADT WIRELESS TOUCH  The installation was schedule and that point all was well until I received the personalized ADT Smart & Secure Plan that showed the monthly monitoring cost at $45.99 plus taxes that was a big jump since I was paying $19.99 plus taxes. I was never told it would go up that much or what the cost would be. So I called and cancel the schedule installation. I was told I would have to call another department to cancel services. Called, Called waiting on line for long periods of time, got hung up on or just talked to people who didn't have a clue but doing that time I was told that they could offer me $27.99 monitoring but I would have to upgrade first I ask as always to please note the account. Finally On 09/29/23 I called the number on the plan I had received and was able to talk to someone in a timely manner. Talked to that person per her she could and would straighten my problem out, she kept removing things that were on the original plan but she did put a five dollars discount on the account for monitoring and she could see I was told that the monitoring would go down to $27.99 but again I would have to call in after upgrade was completed to have it changed on my account. The order still wasn't correct so I called again and talked to a very, very nice person but she couldn't figure out what the other person had done so she reinstated the first plan that had been wrote up and Installation was schedule for 10/03/23. The installer came out and for some reason he did a different installed. There more to this story but not enough room​ to write. Bottom line is that ADT is taking advantage of people so be very careful when working with them. read more

I sold my house and called their tollfree number. I need to cancel service and its frustrating because they will keep passing you around to different people and it takes 10 minutes to benplace on hold. Then after 5 people who i bet are playing around i end up gatting a message that the office is closed. read more

Wish I could leave a negative points. My alarm somehow got disconnected while on vacation. ADT did not notify us. We had someone break in. when I called ADT to ask what on earth happened they told me that they had not been monitoring the system for over 30 days. I told them to cancel my services right then. They informed me it would be an additional $680 to cancel because it was before my contract ended. Are you serious????? You failed to monitor 24/7 like you say you do and then you will charge me to cancel. 2 rude people and a manager later, they refuse to waive the early termination fee. I will be totally contacting my lawyer and going after them. Yes $680 may not be worth it, but my childrens safety is worth shutting this place down, one person at a time. read more

Terrible terrible customer service!!! I pay for maintenance on my equipment and when I have trouble I am told to "get a butter knife" and pry open the equipment myself and oh if I damage it I pay for it! And if I want someone to come out I have to pay an "emergency " fee because it is after 5pm because they don't work after that!!!! They are rude and just keep repeating the same thing over and over like robots - awful!! read more

Worse company in the world!!!! ADT will have you sign a digital screen or whatever they call them with a sneaky contract you won't see unless you find it in your email. They don't tell you any of that though. Read the whole thing and all of the fine print!! Beware!!! read more
