I saw this as I was heading home and figured I'd check it out. They have an insane volume of products but don't have my favorite lubricant.
Seeing an arcade I thought I'd try it out but needed to grab my ID to use a card. When I did I also grabbed my inhaler because for some reason this place allows smoking and it was bad enough that I was suffering an asthma attack.
I asked if smoking was allowed inside and the clerk said it was in the back and that clerks could anywhere. I figured since there were only a couple people there I'd give it a go with the hope that I didn't end up needing to go to the hospital (I don't have my nebulizer with me).
I wasn't in the arcade for even all of five minutes before I simply couldn't breathe. Headache accompanied the sense I had that I was suffocating. I went to the front and informed them I couldn't breathe and asked that they let their boss know I couldn't breathe so that I might have my fee refunded.
Instead of agreeing to let the owner know I left within a ridiculously short time frame they argued with me, blamed the owner for the policy of no refunds, ignored my inability to breathe, and essentially laughed at me.
If you haven't got any issues with your lungs and/or you're perfectly happy smelling like an ashtray for someone else's (or your own) addiction, this is your place. If you'd rather not have to shower and change clothes, if you'd rather not have to seek treatment for asthma, if you'd rather not have a headache all night, this isn't your kind of place.
I haven't heard from the owner about a refund but the while thing is ridiculously unfair. I could not breathe. It's as simple as that. I am stunned that any business even allows smoking inside at this point. I have contested the charge with my bank because it isn't fair that I have to pay for a service I couldn't use.
I don't know about anything else relative to this establishment because it's awful difficult to patronize a place you can't breathe in. read more
