The battery to my boat bilge pump went dead recently as it wasn't properly solar charging. I took it in to Advanced auto parts and diagnosed it and charged it up for with completely free of charge! It's so nice to have that service offered and it definitely has earned my business for future auto-related purchases or battery needs. The guys working at the store seemed to be seniors in highschool or college age, and although young lads, they were professional and excluded great customer service. My husband and I were on our way to a quick getaway when we realized our van's alternator was going. One of the employees working on 5/31 was absolutely amazing and went above and beyond to help us. He charged our vehicle and even helped push it when it wouldn't go in reverse. Thanks to his kindness and quick help, we were able to get to the nearest repair shop and continue on our way. I live in this town. I have several complaints about this store, but I'll just start with I to purchase a motorcycle battery for my Honda told them what model year so this battery without the hardware to connect back to my house with my mechanic who now works for Honda motorcycles and at that time works for Holly Harley. He says you can't connect this there's no hardware back to the store. They say yeah well we you a discount on the battery have how am I gonna connect it around for the hardware I mean come on problem number two actually three problems is a two year warranty on batteries one time they denied me within two years. They said I swapped out too many batteries, even though some mechanic in the neighborhood told me that a lot of people have come to him with bad batteries and complaints about getting them at that location so they didn't honor their warranty. I tried to return this battery. They said they'd give store credit because I didn't have the receipt after a year then somebody said something in the background the next thing I was told I can't even have store my name is in system for every battery. I bought there for five different cars this place is horrible. Never will I go back? read more

Drove all the way out from Hempstead to go here. They close the store 10 minutes early. The people inside won't even take a chance to let me in or I need. It was a battery for my car. Very upsetting Harley. Quinn just help me out for a few minutes and frustrating. read more

I go to this place a lot and there's a guy there named Ryan that doesn't seem like he knows what he's talking about, seemed like he wasn't educated on different car parts that I needed and wasn't helping me, yet insisted he was right and wouldn't listen, ending up leaving with the wrong part. read more

A few nights ago I bought a charger here. I wasn't going to sign up for rewards,but the cashier told me if you sign up you don't need to hold on to receipts because it's in the system. This was this past Tuesday night. The charger didn't work, so I stopped by today (receipt was at home) to return the charger. Jim behind the counter immediately seemed annoyed that I wanted to return the charger. I told him I didn't have the receipt and explained why I stopped by with the charger. I know typically you need the receipt but the cashier had told me otherwise. Jim was AMAZINGLY rude. I was almost in shock at how aggressively he spoke. I told him more than once that I didn't like the way he was speaking to me and he should watch his mouth. I left the store before it got any worse. My advice would be to go to a different store. This place sucks and thanks to Jim I will never give them another $1. There are enough auto places in the area where you can go someplace and feel like you're actually receiving customer service. Maybe Jim can find a job digging ditches or something where he doesn't need to deal with the general public. For the record - I had a defective item and was lied to about the receipt and rewards program. I think Jim thought he was going to "educate" me, but in reality, never even said two important words - "I'm sorry." I guess they are ok selling defective products and holding on to your money. Lying is cool at the register as well. DON'T GIVE THEM YOUR MONEY! UPDATE - I went home, got my receipt, and returned it without an issue. Jim now said "Please and Thank You." Much better. Rajesh was the name on the receipt from when I purchased the charger - I'm assuming since it's his name on the receipt, he's the one who said that I wouldn't need a receipt when I signed up for rewards. read more

I've been a client here for more than 5 years. Usually they are treat you well and you can find most of what you are looking for. Today I bought a rubber adhesive removal (42$) and immediately when I got it I ask for the part that goes to the electric screwdriver. The salesman told me that it's sold separately and they don't have it. I got the 3M product and start looking for over one hour to local stores (Ace hardware, Home depot, another auto store). Everyone told me that this is specific for the 3M. I contact 3M and they told me that this should be inside the package and I had to return the product. One hour after I'm back to the store and I'm returning the product to another lady. I complained - VERY POLITE - about the fact that I didn't have my receipt and they couldn't give me a credit to my CC and they insisted to get a store credit. I also complain about the fact that the other employee that he was few feet away all the time, he gave me the product knowing that the other part is missing and the product has no use without it. At some point the lady that she was making the return asked him if there is another way to get my money back to my CC and the guy's response was "Not for customers that behave like ass..les". I was ecstatic! Seriously?? You had me running more than 25 miles up and down, no apology and I'm the ass..le? Well, I left the place, the guy just for anyone to know is the fat dark skin guy (there is only one there), and of course I've never go back there. At the end of the day after spending more than 3K at this place the last years I was expecting a way better behavior. Talked about the incintent to the manager hope he'll take care of this. Unfortunately, I was treated so disrespectfully by a man named Raj. He was on the phone not paying attention, when I asked him to please hold on one second while I got some other items I need it. When I turned around he had already scanned everything and I said " sir I asked you to please wait a minute." At that moment he went off on me like I was his five-year-old daughter, and started yelling at me that I shouldn't be on my phone when I'm in line to pay. I was I was standing there with my mouth wide open and in total shock of how he was speaking to me. And the only thing I said was "do you realize that I am your customer? And you are speaking to me like this?" He still did not care, and continue to yell because he wanted to get his point across. I took my stuff and I walked over to the next cashier to pay. And although the other man was courteous there were no apologies from anybody in the store. read more

I had two dead batteries in a period of two weeks for two different cars. Raj was very nice and helped me with the purchased. The first time I didn't bring in the car so he suggested to bring the car if I could get it jumpstart or at least the battery so I can get it tested so I don't waste my money.
