Franklin Toyota - Toyota Tacoma for sale in Statesboro, GA

    Franklin Toyota

I don't know what the problem is with the two rude females answering the phone at the dealership…read morebut I had a very bad experience with these liliths. I just wanted to speak to a salesman about ordering/buying a brand new truck and these harpies gave me a nasty runaround. Don't know if I called at the "wrong time of the month" but I'll never deal with Franklin Toyota again. They cost someone a pretty good commission.

Fraud and Discrimination from Franklin Toyota in Statesboro, GA…read more My experience with Franklin Toyota (500 Commerce Dr, Statesboro, GA 30461) was one of the worst I've ever had while trying to finance a vehicle. I found a white 4Runner Platinum through the official Toyota USA website. Since it was after business hours, I received an email from General Manager Kyle Sherfesee, who claimed they are a family-owned dealership with 74 years in the automotive business, offering transparent pricing with no games. His message gave me confidence, and I responded that it would be a pleasure to do business with them. The next morning, the inventory manager called me to confirm the vehicle was available (though still in transit) and said the MSRP was $69,192. I was asked to submit a credit application. When I requested a full out-the-door price, they added a $5,995 "market adjustment", claiming that only seven dealers had that specific model. I immediately rejected the deal and forwarded the original email from the general manager, which clearly stated they didn't engage in such practices. His reply shocked me: because I was located in Miami, they had to charge me the $5,995 markup -- and that was their best offer. They lied in their emails, added an unjustified surcharge, and discriminated against me for not being a local buyer. This is unacceptable, unethical behavior. Toyota USA should investigate dealerships like Franklin Toyota, because customer service and honesty should be a top priority. Toyota already profits from each vehicle sold -- the dealership doesn't need to scam customers with abusive markups. Do the math: 74 years doing business this way, averaging 300 vehicles per month, 12 months a year -- it adds up to a large-scale, long-running scam that may warrant federal investigation. I cannot recommend doing business with this dealer under any circumstance. Franklin Toyota manipulates pricing, breaks their word, and discriminates based on where you live. -- D.B.
