After getting it over to the shoulder, it wouldn't restart - shaking violently and stalling as soon as I pressed the ignition. Using LR roadside assistance, we were towed to a nearby LR dealer, where they arranged for a loaner Evoque. Bob Snider at LR Willow Grove coordinated with the MD dealer, and we were back on the road within 2.5 hours of the breakdown. Turned out a hose clamp on the turbo was bad and the hose came loose. The MD dealer fixed it, shipped it to LRWG, and I was kept in the loop the whole time. Bob arranged a valet swap at my office this morning - less than 36 hours after being stranded on the side of the road 120 miles from home, I have my Disco back, good as new (and washed to boot). They were friendly, courteous, and very helpful.

    I am beyond frustrated with my experience at this Land Rover dealership. Over the past year, my car…read morehas been in their service department five to six times for the exact same issue. Each visit, they kept my vehicle for weeks--sometimes over two months--claiming they were attempting to locate the problem. Every time they returned the car to me, the issue resurfaced within a month, and I was right back in their service bay. For nearly every visit, my warranty covered the repairs. I personally paid thousands of dollars once, but the dealership also put through thousands in warranty-covered repairs throughout the year. Now, after all of that, I'm being told I suddenly need a new engine. What's most upsetting is that it's clear the engine was the root cause of the problem from the beginning. Instead of properly diagnosing it, they applied temporary "fixes" that never addressed the real issue. After dragging this out for over a year, my warranty is now nearly exhausted, and I'm being told I must pay almost $20,000 out-of-pocket for an engine that should have been identified as the issue on the very first visit. It feels as though the ongoing misdiagnoses conveniently benefited the dealership--letting my warranty run down while the core problem kept getting ignored. I trusted them to do honest, competent work, but instead I'm left with a massive repair bill for an issue that was present all along. I will never return to this location for service, and I strongly caution others to think twice before trusting this dealership with something as important and expensive as your vehicle.
