The check in process was simple. Friendly staff welcomed me as I entered. My appointment was @2:15pm and I was back in a room @2:10! Wait time to see doctor was less than 5 minutes! I've been here 3 times. First thing I noticed upon arrival, when sat down in a patient room, I saw a cloth with blood on the floor behind the chair. Unfortunately have to write a bad review. Everybody here is very nice and caring, besides the doctor. Dr. Soares. I went for treatment for warts and and it was a big deal for me mentally and I needed help. He really didn't care to give advice or follow up remedies for treatment as the virus is not curable, technically. Left feeling hopeless and further found another doctor. I was very dissatisfied with the experience I had today. 1. The woman who checked me in had an inappropriate reaction when I told her I wasn't on any daily medications and she literally whipped her head around and said, "really?! Nothing? No high cholesterol or high blood pressure" Like, because I'm not skinny, then you assume I'm on those medications? Why bring up those medications specifically? Why not ask about the plethora of other medications out there? It was very rude and inappropriate patient care. As a medical professional, she should have been more aware of her reactions and outward expressions. 2. The doctor was your "typical no bedside manner self absorbed doctor". No communication, no taking my patient history, no asking questions of where and when my condition started. He literally looked at me for less than a minute and said he wants to "experiment" and see if something he prescribes would work. Which is fine to test things, but I did not feel heard nor did I feel he took a thorough enough history or examination to test anything. When I advocated for myself, he made me feel dumb for asking these questions. Also, he kept cutting me off when I was speaking. When I was leaving the office and passed by him and said goodbye, he didn't even acknowledge me. So yeah.. not a pleasant experience. Went to advance Associates dermatology Spring to get a ruptured cyst looked at. Doctor informed me that I would need to have it cut open and cleaned out. This Location and Office is amazing. The staff is friendly and professional. The doctor is absolutely amazing. His work is best I've seen. The nurses prepped me for surgery and brought in an iPad and started playing Lionel Richie radio. It made me feel so comfortable and set the mood. The doctor came in, and we were literally all singing as the surgery was being performed. It was amazing, but almost made me forget that I was actually having surgery. This place is fun, upbeat, positive and professional. The nurses and doctors took the time to explain everything thoroughly. Also, the stitching work was the best I've seen. I know I will have a scar, but knowing that it was stitched up properly makes me feel at ease. I highly recommend Dr. Soares and his team for all your dermatology needs. read more

A bit of a wait in waiting room even though I had done all for check in prior, paid and still arrived 15min early. I understood I had a "first appointment of the day". 2 in waiting room and another 3 who walked in after (not checked in prior) were called back and in rooms first. I had to go back up to desk after 30 min of sitting there and 20 past my appointment to tell them it looks like you've forgotten me and I need to go on to work after this! They almost immediately came and got me. When back in room, quick and courteous help from the nurse and of course Dr Soares. If front needs a sign in to cross check with your electronic then let's do that! read more

First time patient. Everyone was nice enough aside from the constant misgendering. I don't know why they have multiple pronoun and title options available on their onboarding site if everyone is just going to ignore them. But this is Texas and I've learned not to expect much when it comes to common decency and general pettiness. I think it's worth mentioning here for others to know. I was also told I'd be provided with a prescription cream but my pharmacy has not received anything. I'm stuck without it over the long weekend. I saw Dr. Soares for a consult on chronic hives. He was professional and after looking through biopsy reports and photos, Dr. Soares made recommendations for next steps which I was satisfied with. Zero communication. I received a statement directly from the pathologist stating that I may have cancer, before Dr. Soares even attempted to contact me. I knew for several days and had already taken steps to further my testing with a different doctor. Dr. Soares did not contact me until three weeks after I knew the results and then was shocked that I knew. He claims to have no idea how I found out. I reminded him that HIS company has an online portal through his chosen pathologist that sends results directly to the patient for the patient to review. After it was all said and done I was billed for over a thousand dollars out of pocket because Dr. Soares used a second testing procedure without my knowledge or consent. To make everything even worse, I have no idea if I have cancer. I'm having to go through a completely different medical agency for help. I strongly advise anyone with a real medical concern to avoid this medical practice. Your life may very well depend on it. read more

I was looking at my hand and arm yesterday and was shaking my head at the quarter sized scars still present. I get warts on my extremities every so often. I usually get them frozen off. I went to Dr Soares in 2011 or 2012 to have them removed. He tried freezing them off in one visit to no avail (another dermatologist to me later that he didn't use the nitrogen long enough on the warts). On a second visit he told me he had another method to remove the warts, but there'd be 'slight' scarring. I was ok with 'slight' scarring and gave him the ok. He proceeds to cut large quarter sized holes in my skin, then goes in with a laser and burn out the root of the wart. There were basically large holes in my arm after that. Nothing 'slight' about them. They were quite painful, for months after. I even spent hundreds of dollars seeing other dermatologists to see if they could help me with the pain and ugly scarring. Nothing helped, and I had to give the holes time to fill in with scar tissue and even more time to stop hurting. TLDR: Go see someone else for wart removal or you might end up with large painful scars. read more

I can't say enough good things about this place. I came as an emergency to see them after my skin getting a bad allergic reaction from using a wrong product on my face. It was a Friday and nobody didn't want to see me. I called Advanced Associates and they were so helpful and even that I was a new patient they were able to fit me in. They were so nice the front desk and nurses helped me right away as soon as I got there. The treatment works perfect and I didn't get any scars on my face. I'm looking forward to continue coming to this office and highly recommend it to anybody. read more

Be ready to wait 2 hours just for no one to help you. The 1st time I went to this place was to get my swollen finger examined. I waited 30 minutes in the exam room for the doctor to come in and greet me. He stated he will come back in a couple of minutes as he had to get some items to run a blood exam. He went to talk to other patients (I was able to hear through walls) and I began to wait to an extra 30 minutes just for him to return to complete my visit (Unprofessional). I assumed it was a one time thing, and scheduled another appointment for March 25th (today) for something else I wanted to get checked. I made my appointment at 09:15 as I was able to go in late this morning for work. I get there at 09:00 so I can check in early. 45 minutes later at 9:45!!! My name is finally called. There were so many people in the waiting room before me, and I can only imagine how long they had to wait to get their named called. IT DOESNT END THERE, again I sit in the exam room, this time for 40 minutes and no one has yet to come. At this point I'm almost 2 hours in and no progress has been made. I think they fail to understand people make appointments hoping to be checked at a reasonable time. IF YOU KNOW THERE IS ONLY 1 DOCTOR DO NOT SCHEDULE 10+ APPOINTMENTS AN HOUR! ITS IMPOSSIBLE TO SEE ALL THOSE PATIENTS, AND CAUSES PEOPLE TO WAIT 90+ MINUTES JUST TO BE SPOKEN TO. I ended up canceling the appointment as I needed to get back to work and was no longer able to wait for the doctor. I was told by front desk rep, "Per Office Manager you will receive refund of co pay in 48-72 hours" I will be calling Tuesday morning on the 29th if my refund has not been issued. Unless you're wanting to have your time wasted do not go to this dermatologist. There is plenty of other places who actually care about peoples time and money well spent. read more

I was referred to Dr. Soares by my primary care Dr. Being a mature age person, I was having some hot flash issues. Within less than 15 minutes, Dr. Soares explained more than anyone ever has! I would go only to this Dr. if I have any more Dermatology issues. The staff is very good. read more

AWFUL, TERRIBLE experience. PLEASE AVOID THIS PLACE. Went against reviews and gave this place a try because I wanted a same day appointment and they were the only office with openings. (now I know why their books are so empty) The initial visit was fine, I did not deal with Suarez, I was booked with his Partner, Lacey, who was great. I payed 100 dollars for 5 minutes of their time, and another 120 in prescription. I was prescribed a cream which made my face so dry and red I was worse off then before, when I had some swelling I panicked and called the office to try and come in and get the situation figured out. I was transferred over and over in an effort to figure this disaster of a situation out and was told I can rebook for another $100 dollars or they couldn't help me. HORRENDOUS customer service. Can't even believe this man has a license to practice. read more

I'm super disappointed. I've been to this office several times before. The front desk ladies have never been mean, but not friendly either. I drove an hour today from a rescheduled appointment in December. They failed to put me on the schedule. They "squeezed" me in for an appointment I already had and then charged me for missing an appointment. No one drives an hour for a fake appointment. Horrible service and no common sense. read more

My husband and I have both seen Dr. Soares. We have always been totally satisfied with the care we have gotten at his office. Dr. Soares is a delightful man, besides being a great dermatologist! He has such a joyful and uplifting attitude that going to his office is always a very positive experience. He has diagnosed 2 squamous cell, 1 basal cell, and 1 melanoma skin cancer for my husband. For the melanoma, Dr. Soares referred my husband to MD Anderson. We are very thankful to have Dr. Soares for our dermatologist, and we highly recommend him! read more

The physician was okay but nearly TWO YEARS after I saw the doctor, I was sent a statement for a $46 balance indicating that I had 10 days to pay it or I would be turned over to a collection agency. This was the FIRST statement I ever received. Not only that, the statement was dated June 21, 2018 and the postmark was June 26, 2018. I received it on June 30, 2018. So this poorly managed office is threatening my credit because of their numerous mistakes!! Avoid this practice if you do not want to be threatened! read more

The staff is extremely incompetent, unwilling to listen to the patients, re-check their facts, or correct their mistakes. They make patients feel like they are stupid. All they are after is your money. The doctor himself does not check past medical history or update medications (I saw him in 2011 and not again until 2017 and he never asked me about my current medications or updating my medical history). He also does not give ALL the facts and important information after a procedure and tries to get you to get your prescriptions at a pharmacy that he probably has a deal with by telling you it will be cheaper than retail pharmacies. The pharmacy didn't even ask for my current medications to see if there would be an interaction between medications. The doctor also tries to get you to have additional procedures or medications that are not medically necessary. They are all in it to making the money, not properly treating the patient. I went for a medically necessary examination and procedure. I bet he gives great service to his cash paying patients for cosmetic procedures. If you look at his website the last "good" reviews are dated 2013 & 2014 and nothing since then, wonder why? THEY ARE AWEFUL. If you are referred to this office or the doctor you need to find someone else. DO NOT GO THERE! read more

I've been trying for days for someone to call me back with pathology results to no avail. Probably will find another dermatologist.
