I said I wanted to try CBT before anything. then she says she will find someone closer to me for CBT. I said I thought I was there for CBT, she had no answer. A student shadowing her said there were online tutorials and she would send me a link. out the door I was sent. no discussion of CBT, nothing. a waste of time!

At 60 years of age I thought my demons would prohibit me from obtaining any kind of mental stability. Immediately upon speaking with Dr. Mobed I felt a sense of peace. He is such a caring and empathetic soul. It was critical to know he is listening and absorbing my feelings as I sobbed through our sessions. He offered me suggestions and techniques to lessen the panic and anxiety and to slowly try to get out of the house. The baby steps have helped and he has earned my trust. His words offer me solace at the most trying times. I know he truly cares for me, and his other patients. He has made it his life goal to assist others at their lowest point. His gratitude is seeing his patients achieve success against the mental health demons. I know if it weren't for his wisdom and his ability to identify and document, I would have never won my social security claim. I have no doubt he will continue to help me work toward my own goals in becoming the confident person I once was. I will always look forward to our continued conversations and look back at where I was. I know I've come a long way, but I also respect there is still work to be done. I simply could not have made it this far without Dr. Mobed; he literally saved my life.

Today I was talking to Dr. Nick Ungson about increasing my dosage because he weaned me off two other meds that I have been on for many years. I was asking him questions about my new dosage of meds and such and he got mad at me and shook his notepad at me that he was writing on and yelled, " That's what I'm trying to tell you!!!". I then said, " Are you really yelling at me ?". He then got an even bigger attitude because I confronted him about his uncalled for actions. He would not let me speak or answer any questions even after asking them. For example: He asked me if a dosage of one of my meds was 80mg. When I went into my phone notes he said, " No,no, no, if you don't know forget it, I'll look it up later." Why ask if I can't have a few seconds even to answer you? I have been telling my wife since I started seeing him almost 2 years ago that I don't think he is listening to me. I had just told Dr. Ungson today that I stopped taking the meds that he weaned me off four days ago. In his next sentence to me he said, " So it was 2 weeks ago that you stopped taking those meds"?? I then decided that I was going to address him about feeling like he isn't really listening and caring with me as his patient. I then said, "Dr. Ungson, I don't feel like you are listening to me and you didn't let me fully describe how bad I've been for the past month. It has been a living hell you won't even listen to the symptoms I've been suffering with. It almost makes me feel like I need to find a new Dr." So, Ungson replies, " Then that is what you do", as he walks me out of his office and tells the ladies at the front desk that," I'm no longer his patient. " Ungson never did send in my new prescriptions to my pharmacy and I can't believe he was that nasty and asked me to leave over stating how I felt!!!! I HIGHLY ADVISE you to NOT USE DR. Nick Ungson!!! Another thing they do is make everyone wear masks for the Corona Virus which hospitals and airports doesn't even enforce right now. This office will try and call you to change your appointment constantly, or not tell you that you have an appointment and then when you miss it, charge you $60! If I hadn't talked to the office on Monday and just happened to find out that I had an appointment the next day, I would have missed it! Lastly, one other thing that this office does is if you see Dr. Ungson, you MUST talk to their Therapist John! You don't get a choice if you choose therapy or not. You MUST speak to their therapist to get your medications. Lake Center of Hope is a joke and they can be hard to understand with their native language being Filipino. I sure hope this helps some good folks out there from making a major mistake using these people!!!

So much I could have done with that money. Seems like a total scam. Secondly, we decided together that I needed to go to a psychiatric hospital due to my massive depression. We chose a facility together. They were going to have it all set for me and were calling there when I left the office. I drove 2 hrs, with my suitcase packed for a stay. Upon arrival, I was told they've never heard of me, and have no room for a new patient till next week. Wow. Dr. Brady recommended I have an apt with his psychiatrist friend to get a chemical swab done that would tell exactly what chemicals my brain is lacking so I could get the proper meds I need to combat my depression. It took quite a while to get a zoom apt with him. I just finished it. This doctor told me he doesn't know if his office is doing the swab test right now because of Covid. I asked him to find out for me. He seemed most aggrieved at my request and told me to call them myself. That was supposed to be the entire point of this appointment. What a waste of my time. Needless to say, my entire experience with Mind and Body Institute was nothing but negative experiences. Between being turned away from the mental hospital that they were supposed to get me into, to the disappointing Zoom appointment with this psychiatrist who had no clue what I was sent to him by Dr. Brady for, to the $1,000 I'm out of for an online psych test that never should have cost a small fortune out of pocket, I feel taken advantage of, used, and poorly treated. If you need psychiatric help, DO NOT visit this place with high hopes. I'm out of time, money, and the help I needed. It was nothing but a mistake I implore you not make for yourself. All this time, I should have been under the care of someone with my best interests in mind. That wasn't the case here. Dr. Brady is just out for money without providing anything for it. What a joke.
