I was sent there by my PCP for CBT for insomnia. paid my co-pay prior to seeing Nurse Practitioner. Met in office, she asked questions about family history and talked about sleep drugs and having a sleep study done. I said I wanted to try CBT before anything. then she says she will find someone closer to me for CBT. I said I thought I was there for CBT, she had no answer. A student shadowing her said there were online tutorials and she would send me a link. out the door I was sent. no discussion of CBT, nothing. a waste of time! read more

This review was so difficult to write. How do you offer someone enough praise for help changing your life? I have found Dr. Mobed to be exceptionally skilled and irreplaceable. At 60 years of age I thought my demons would prohibit me from obtaining any kind of mental stability. Immediately upon speaking with Dr. Mobed I felt a sense of peace. He is such a caring and empathetic soul. It was critical to know he is listening and absorbing my feelings as I sobbed through our sessions. He offered me suggestions and techniques to lessen the panic and anxiety and to slowly try to get out of the house. The baby steps have helped and he has earned my trust. His words offer me solace at the most trying times. I know he truly cares for me, and his other patients. He has made it his life goal to assist others at their lowest point. His gratitude is seeing his patients achieve success against the mental health demons. I know if it weren't for his wisdom and his ability to identify and document, I would have never won my social security claim. I have no doubt he will continue to help me work toward my own goals in becoming the confident person I once was. I will always look forward to our continued conversations and look back at where I was. I know I've come a long way, but I also respect there is still work to be done. Both my husband and myself have gone to Advanced behavioral for medication management. Without mentioning his are rushed in and out in about 8 minutes. When we are due for a refill on a prescription primarily myself, If I am not in need of the prescription I am honest and I will tell him, Dennis, But I do not need the prescription yet and he will tell me just call when you are ready. So a few weeks later I was about to be near the end of my prescription you can ever get a hold of a person you can only leave messages and most of the time they never call back. When I finally reached out the broken English-speaking employees that they have told me I had to come in to see Dennis in order to get the prescription refill I explained to this lady that Dennis said when I am ready for the refill just call. I followed his instructions and the lady insisted upon becoming in I told her I had just seen him 2 and a half weeks ago he told me to call she again refused and told me to make an appointment so I told her I guess we have nothing more to talk about. The next thing I know a signature required letter came in the mail which I refused to define because I had already been fed up with advanced behavioral because of their lack of intelligent employees and the fact that The cutter himself told me to just make a phone call but my phone call was not honored. In the meantime my husband and I both found a new place to go to a place that is extremely respectable and everybody understands english. For me to be pushed out of an establishment based on something that a girl tells me on the phone that is incorrect according to what mister cutter told me to do was unacceptable. I was leaving the place anyway due to many issues along the way that was the final straw. NEVER EVER woukd U recommend Advanced Behavioral for anything. NOTHING! I could write more incidents that occurred that were so out of line but considering the Office Mgr is one of the Psychiatrist wife, well let's just say, You're not going to get anywhere with explaining anything to anyone in that place. read more

My review is for Dr. Mobed. Dr. Mobed has helped me through a very difficult time in my life with the tragic loss of a loved one. Dr. Mobed is the true meaning of empathy and has helped me to see that I had created patterns in my life and has helped me to correct and work on those patterns. I lived in a state of fear and worry and I thought it was just normal as a mother and caregiver. They say that when the right people come into your life its when you need them the most and that is Dr. Mobed. Dr. Mobed has inpowered me and I can look forward to a healthy future. Dr. Deloen forgot my husband died. Started taking medication after the loss he prescribed me. Go back for my 6 week follow up and he forgot my husband dies. Yes please show me you care and are not prescribing medication just to mute people. Not to mention man is always late for appointments. read more

Would not recommend coming here! I came across this place, it was local and decided to give them a try. My first appointment I didn't have any issues, I paid my co-pay and then went back to speak with the doctor. Then it was time for my second appointment, I had been in a car accident with my kids the night before and because of this my brain was not in the right place thinking of upcoming appts. So I received a phone call in the morning about the appointment and no matter how many times I said I was in a car accident last night, my car is totaled and have no way of getting there because my husband is out of town.. she refused to cancel. Trust me I get that there are cancellation fees, but when someone was in a car accident with my son and I both injured and a totalled vehicle, I think you can make an exception... She then said instead of charging me $50 cancellation she would go ahead and book me virtually. So I then again paid my co-pay and had my appointment in which my doctor said oddly "you're being very quiet today, not giving me anything huh?" even though he was made aware of why we were doing virtual, I was very distraught from the accident and frustrated. To my confusion, I then get a bill saying that I owe money.. I called billing multiple times left messages and eventually got a TEXT MESSAGE from the head of that department. Even after the initial text where I told her the billing situation still had not been handled, she continued to communicate via text. I was told I never paid for my second appointment and that they THOUGHT my co-pay was going to be one price but it ended up different. I responded with the bank statement that I had showing I paid and how I'd never been to a medical office that "THINKS" the price a co-pay might be... I have YET to hear back from her and I have again called with no answer. But wouldn't you know, I just received another bill. I have worked in a medical office before and it's pretty easy to either login or call and find out people's insurance, before their appointment. The frustrating thing to me isn't about the money, I will happily pay what my actual co-pay is, it's more of the blatant unprofessionalism. it doesn't make you feel like a genuinely valued patient honestly. Extremely unprofessional during a time of crisis for me. Their appointments were weeks in the future, but was told that if I fill out lengthy pre-appointment paperwork they could move me up. So I did and faxed it over...and the receptionist tried to deny an earlier appointment. I had to remind her what had said to me the day before. However, that was a sign for sure. My therapist was Dr. Moore and we did a video call. He spent 40 minutes asking me the EXACT same questions I had answered on the paperwork I had sent over. Total waste of time. I had a psychiatrist for 12 years until her retirement and she helped on my very first visit. Unfortunately, Dr. Moore just was "too basic" for me. What finally got me to write this review was the way they handled future appointments that I DID NOT SCHEDULE! I had no intention of continuing with Dr. Moore, yet they called to confirm an appointment the following week. I had to insist I did not schedule another appointment. Doctors are wonderful here. Dr Mobed is fantastic but it is a shame... The office staff is absolutely atrocious. Seriously. Most recently, I received a call from them in the morning which I missed. No message was left. I get a call later that day from the same number, an hour before my appointment but this time they left a message saying I had an hour to call back or they were cancelling? I waited for this appointment for months and you give me an hour to confirm? leave people a VM so they know if you are calling to confirm, cancel, reschedule, etc...or even know who is trying to reach them. Really hit and miss. I've had some of the best -- and most notably, the absolute WORST doctors I've had in my life here (J McDonough may be the worst ANYWHERE). Therapists have been great but I'm warning you here and now, if you voluntarily pick McDonough, shame on you for not doing your homework. If you are assigned to him, stand your ground and demand a replacement. Otherwise change facilities altogether. Is he that bad? He's much, much worse. read more

I have been going to ABH for several years now. The doctors are professional, caring, and empathetic. The therapists are great as well. The staff are very efficient and friendly. Other people I have talked to have told me that it is the best mental health center in the area. I would highly recommend it. I have seen two different doctors there and they were both excellent. read more

So, is anyone else having issues with them answering their phone's and then be told you have a late fee even if you left them a voice mail 24 hrs in advance to cancel your appointment? They also over charge for copays so double check with you insurance company as to what your copy is. read more

I have been a patient at Advanced Behavioral Health on and off for around 10 years. The doctors and therapists are outstanding. The rest of the staff is consistently professional, friendly, and compassionate. I have been to other psychiatric practices (including the dreaded Lifestream) but none of them come close to being as good as ABH. They truly care. read more

I have been going to Advanced Behavioral Health in Tavares, FL since July of 2019. I had been seeing Marilourdes Perez LMHC who was wonderful. Beginning of March 2020 COVID-19 changed everything. Also, Ms. Perez was no longer In-Network with my Insurance Plan. After going without counseling until end of August I was in desperate despair and needed a counselor. That's where the fabulous Receptionists Beatrice and Cassandra helped me tremendously. Beatrice patiently helped me get my New Patient Forms done and Emailed to her so she could get me on schedule to speak with Steve Leland LMHC over phone visit. She now has me scheduled for four appointments for me to speak with Steve for every week. Beatrice and Cassandra worked diligently to get me an appointment the next day, or so from when I emailed in my new patient information. They exhibit true kindness, care, and compassion for the patients. Even with the turmoil COVID-19 has caused when I called the office number they picked up, or if I left a voicemail they returned my phone calls in a timely manner which is rare to have with many offices due to COVID-19. I am a mother of 4 kids (10,8,2,1). My 8 yr old was in need of real help for his concentration and focus as well as memory issues. I currently homeschool my kids and our schedule is super busy and sometimes things come up like illnesses and life situations that are out of our control. This business does not have a FAIR business policy for cancelling appointments. I understand if the person cancels the same day that it can be challenging to find a person to fill that spot, but when they charge you $50 for a no show fee even if you give them plenty of time and they don't even provide an after hours number or answering service for the weekends or evenings that is considered UNFAIR BUSINESS PRACTICES!! As a student pursing her medical degree I believe their actions are unethical and show a deep lack of concern and CARE for their patients making it a cold and immoral business. If they cant make discussion's for the better interest of their patients then they cant make wise decisions for you as an individual. read more

Will never return to this practice, the staff members are rude and they are not honest. I was told TODAY for my appointment TOMORROW that I owe a big balance for months of services when I've never received a bill or invoice. I verified all of my information and asked why I was not told about these charges when I made a payment a few weeks ago, they said they weren't sure. When I asked why I was never sent a bill for anything, they said they usually do but it didn't look like they did for me. They told me I need to pay or I cant see my doctor. Wouldn't have been a big deal if they had sent me the bill with advanced notice, but now I dont get to continue my medications because they decided to spring this on me the day before my appointment. When I called back to verify the amount and postpone my appointment the receptionist just said okay and hung up on me, didn't try to reschedule or listen to my concerns. Very disappointed at the lack of professionalism by the staff. Anytime I've tried to schedule an appointment or get information, I always get voicemail and rarely get a call back unless I'm persistent and continue calling. Horrible practice. read more

I have been a patient with Dr. Hector DeLeon for almost two years from the moment I met him to present. Dr. DeLeon has always been kind, compassionate and concerned with my well being. Dr. Deleon is the Psychiatrist at the Advanced Behavioral Health Center and is an asset to this center. I have also seen Jennifer Sullivan for counseling she was compassionate, attentive and eager to help me get through some of my issues. I was not able to continue to see her due to financial restraints but as a therapist was fully present in session. I have no complaints, I am not sure about charging for appointments when canceled with ample time that has never happened to me I have always keep my appointments with Dr. H. DeLeon. It has happened that I forgot once my appointment with my therapist and yes I was charged. I think it is only fair as their time is scheduled, and lost time can be used for someone in need. If I could leave minus stars I would. Drs here that I dealt with were condescending and disinterested. One was good but he left. The front staff, with the exception of one gal is rude and incompetent. I would drive an hour to appointments then be told I wasn't on the schedule. No offer to try to fit me in, etc, come on! These are 15 minute appointments. Charge a $50 fee if you cancel within 24 hrs of your appt. but no consideration when they screw up. All summer I was told I had a balance, then when I asked for a check for my balance, they suddenly start to try and tell me my insurance quit paying 6 mos ago and I was liable for all those charges. How could I have had a balance if ins. Wasn't paying? This place was a bad fit for me. I've enough stress in my life, I don't need to deal with their chenanegans. read more

It is unbelievable that a place where apparently they treat patients with compassion and care will treat their own team members as if they were not important.! I am an acquainted of Dr.Santosh Pillai, Psychiatrist. Dr. Pillai worked for Advanced Behavioral Health Center until recently. Dr.Pillai is one of the most incredible individuals I have met, he is very compassionate about this patients and is always looking for ways to help his patients. As a Psychiatrist he is very, very concern about the well being of his patients. When you look to see the reviews he has received from his patients it is clear to see that rating him 5 out of 5 speak for itself. Having a provider like Dr.Pillai working at your facility is an incredible privilege and honor knowing that you have employed the best of the best. Unfortunately not everyone thinks like this and it is sad to say that his own colleagues have turn their backs on Dr.Pillai to the point of terminating his contract with Advanced Behavioral effective immediately without giving him reasonable time to tell his patients that he was no longer going to be able to continue providing psychiatric care for them. There was no wrong doing from Dr.Pillai he was just told to leave. Rather they choose to block his access completely from the EMR system and not allowing him to access his own patients record. They even told him that he was not allowed to come to the office to pick up his office things during business hours, that he needed to come when there were no patients present. The staff at this place were told to tell Dr.Pillais patients that Dr.Pillai got married and that he moved and he was not going to be able to see them anymore because of the distance. I am in shock about the way this matter has been handle. Not communicating properly to Dr.Pillais patients and making them believe that Dr Pillai left because of the distance and without notice is WRONG. Although it is not necessary to disclose to patients reasons why Dr.Pillai is not working at Advanced Behavioral Health Center (which there are no negative reasons) at least they should it have given him at least 30 day notice so he could it inform his patients that he was no longer going to be at that location. Since I am not affiliated with this clinic I will tell you that in complete dismayed. I cannot believe that a Physician will treat a Colleague of them like. Thankfully Dr.Pillai is now working with an incredible professional team that values and respects him and open the doors and with open arms welcome him and those patients that found Dr.Pillai thru a website and decided to follow him. I decided to do this because patients were misled and is not fair to them. I hope that they can find this to know exactly what happen and know that Dr.Pillai never, never abandon them. EVF read more
