My in-laws had a sump pump go bad and several inches of water backed into their basement. We were so glad our first choice was Bryan and Elizabeth at Advanced Cleaning and Restoration. Moira came within an hour to complete an inspection and stayed with us throughout the entire process making sure the adjuster and insurance company claim was properly handled. I just purchased new home and had Advanced Cleaning steam clean all of the carpets. Two technicians arrived on time and with brand new state of the art equipment. The technicians set guards to protect all of the woodwork in my home and always put on and took off protective footwear while entering and leaving the house. BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY! This is probably the best example of bait and switch that I have ever seen! I used Advanced Carpet Cleaning when I first moved to NYS. "Toby" cleaned the carpet (which was really bad as the previous owners of my house had three dogs that were not potty trained). He did a good job, even though some of the stains came back later. So when I needed my carpets cleaned again, I called this company. I spoke with "Liz", one of the owners, and explained what had been done, when it was done, and what I paid ($120). I told her that I was on a tight budget, and was calling them first because I had been satisfied with their service the last time I used them. She told me that "we always honor the past price for repeat customers", and said they would do the job for the same cost. Her husband, Brian (the other owner), showed up today to clean the carpet. He handed me an estimate for over $300! I explained to him that I had spoken with Liz, and she said she would honor the $120 I paid previously. He started giving me all these reasons why he would not honor that price ... their competition doesn't do as good a job (even though they charge less) ... price of gas has gone up (he was doing another job in the next town) ... it had been five years ... on and on. I imagine that this is the tactic they customarily use on people. They figure that you've spent a considerable amount of time preparing the rooms for their arrival (as I had done), and that you wanted your carpets cleaned, so you'll hire them anyway. I was outraged. I am a business owner and would never do this to a customer, especially a repeat customer. I don't like being fleeced, and when he wouldn't budge on the price (even after I showed him their previous invoice), I told them I did not need their service. Apparently, other people have had problems with them as well. Just read the reviews on the Internet (e.g. Superpages). Bottom line: no matter what they tell you on the telephone, don't believe it! read more

You are not sorry I feel this way, you preach customer satisfaction is your #1 priority, then why did it take you days to reach out to me to address my concerns? Bryon was very responsive and quick to get back to me before the job started- why werent you so responsive after the fact? Its because you know you did a half ass job, you know in the 18 man hours you were here you barely did what you committed to doing. I want to start off by saying- I hired a company to clean my shop right the first time. I now want to start to address all the lies your wrote in your response above... You were very clear in our meetings that you would be able to get all the dust and dirt off the walls, windows and ceilings... You told me about your process and assured me the walls/windows and ceilings would be spotless and free from dirt/dust. To suggest you offered to do the work at night, that makes no sense- your paperwork states 9 days 3 guys, our shop is open most days until 6, so to say you could come at night and do all that needed to be done barely makes any sense.. You also told me that you would move all my equipment and tape off and cover all electrical parts,. So that brings me to my next point. You got water in my garage doors electrical system, you broke one of my phone lines, you stepped on my chairs and left your dirty foot prints all over them, you also got water all over my guys tool boxes and monitors... I had to pay people to come back out after you left to fix things that you should have covered or taped off.. Im just curious who went to Las Vegas, you have me confused with one of your other customers. I took a 2 days trip down to Atlantic City since my shop was closed for cleaning- which I am entitled to do, and really had nothing to do with this- it was booked the day before we left- so this is another lie you are spewing.. Your estimate being based on square footage instead of manhours wasnt the point I was getting at. My point was- for a 9 day job with 3 men, you were at my shop for a total of 18 hours. That hardly seems like enough time to tape everything off, move what needs to be moved and do the proper cleaning job that you were originally requesting over $12600 for. And clearly from MY PHOTOS you barely cleaned anything.(the ceilings werent touched, the windows still caked with dirt and bugs, and most of the walls still look bad) To point out, we used a dish detergent, applied it to one of the walls and the dirt/dust wiped right off. Why is that? Yes, parts of my shop (walls) werent cleaned in over 30 years, thats why I was hiring a company to clean them. You probably should have done a test area before you committed to the job to set an expectation of what is to come if you thought there might be a issue getting them cleaned.. But you committed to getting them to look like new... Your before and after pictures do me no good, because the majority of them are from the newer section of the building which Im sure was easier for you to clean. I have after photos and videos and they show that my shop looks like it was barely touched. I am not interested in the excuse that when your guys returned to Your shop that it was closed, thats why Bryon couldnt get back to me, because we both know They are in constant contact with Bryon via cell phone, and I am willing to bet that they let him know we werent happy... Your service claims 24 hours on call, yet you couldnt call for 10 minutes to address my issues? You waited 4 days and had your secretary call.. Yes I insisted on speaking with Bryon, because he is the one I made the agreement with, he is the owner of the company= for me to address my issues with your workers hardly seems professional. You also state that after many different cleansers and pressure washers were used that your techs noted in the paperwork that there was some staining that couldnt be removed- where is that? And why if that was the case- wouldnt you pick up the phone and let me know that? I didnt see that, and Im again curious why we were able to use Dawn DIsh soap to remove the dirt/dust rather easily. You say we should have let you come back- for what? You clearly have stated that you couldnt get all the dirt off the walls, so why bother coming back? What would have made me happy was Bryon coming back, and doing a walk through with me to address all of my areas of concerns- but he didnt.. Instead he makes an appointment with me, then cancels via email 10 minutes after the scheduled time- again not professional.. And before you go on and state that I was berating your company- please keep in mind that I also have every phone call recorded and I am glad to post all of them hear for the public to hear. Your wife Liz yelled, screamed, and wasnt letting me speak. Truly unprofessional... Your business being very subjective what does that mean? I highly recommend services from Advanced Cleaning and Restoration. I contacted them because I needed my carpets and floors cleaned. We recently had twin babies and now they are starting to crawl. So I needed to make sure the carpets and floors had a deep clean. Dylan and Cody came to shampoo the carpets and clean our hardwood floors. They were both very professional and polite. After they were finished I was so impressed! I now felt comfortable putting my babies on the clean floors. Not to mention how much better smelling and looking my house is. Just had my carpets done and they turned out wonderful, I have a hundred pound Doberman that loves to get sick on this particular carpet for some reason , at first I was going to throw it out and have it replaced but then I was recommended to this company and I'm glad I was ,price was reasonable I didn't feel like a bait and switch like I've read ina previous comment, so I guess that's to each his own but as for my encounter with this company I give it a 5 star for price ,showing up on the time and and meeting my needs , so thank you once again Advance Cleaning and Restoration Service for a job well done , I would highly recommend this company read more
