We had a heart-to-heart discussion and he told me it was time to take action. So it began, 10 months of treatment procedures, and all kinds of handholding and Support. Dr. Coombs is not only a very gifted and talented dentist, but he is one of the kindest and most compassionate dental providers you could ever meet. He and his wife, Dr. Brewer are the perfect team, if it's possible to have enjoyable dentistry, believe me they make it like that. Their Staff is amazing my hygienist Gina Spence has been cleaning my teeth for 23 years, that's how long I have been with this practice, finally, I have completed the process and now I just have a few adjustments, but my teeth are gorgeous. He said I had to have my teeth cleaned before any exam- I have never heard that from any dentist. His assistant did take way more x-rays than necessary so I'm sure he will over bill my insurance for that. On my next appt. at 9a.m NO ONE was there. The office was closed - no note on the door - nothing. The next day the office girl said "we sent an email to all patients" NOT ME. Another man showed up at 9 also so I'm not the only who did not get that message. My next appt I had to sign a form saying that I would pay for any shortage that my insurance company did not pay. AND I was overcharged on my first appt and when I asked for a refund I was told they don't refund to credit cards even tho that was how I paid. So I asked for a check- she said the Dr. only writes checks once a month. Well it's been 2 months and I'm still waiting. I will NEVER go back there.

I needed to find a new dentist as my old one of 20 years does not take my new insurance plan. This place takes all sorts of dental insurance and will show you a cost spreadsheet of the real costs so there's no surprises. The staff here is super accommodating and knows their stuff. The dentist Dr. Graber was friendly and let me know exactly what was gonna happen. I came in for an initial exam as a new patient. X-rays were done digitally and the resolution was so clear on the screen! They even have a super mini camera that takes a vid of your teeth close up so the doctor and YOU can see what's going on. He explained and showed me everything. I needed a new crown and a filling replaced. I was shown in detail on the screen what it looked like exactly and shown the cracks even on the old filling, so I knew it was really there. The filling was painless to replace and the crown was gonna be made right there in the office on this high tech digital machining device. No waiting a few weeks for a dental lab to make the crown and then come back again to have it installed. Ok, there's a $75 charge to do it the same day in the office, but that's well worth it! The crown went in easy, the machine took maybe 45 min to make it. I watched the doctor program the machine on the screen with a digital image of my teeth. My old dentist wasn't THIS high tech! I walked out with a new crown and filling and my insurance covered it all, except $75 to use that fancy crown making machine. Now I have cleanings scheduled here too. I like going to the dentist now!

I had been an established patient with the dental practice for several years and, prior to this…read moresituation, had no complaints about the quality of dental care I received. Unfortunately, significant staff turnover and ongoing scheduling problems have since made it unnecessarily difficult to access care in a timely manner. I had scheduled a cleaning and checkup with my regular dentist six months in advance. Approximately one week before the scheduled appointment, I was notified that it would have to be rescheduled because the practice no longer had a hygienist. While I understand that staffing issues can arise, I do not understand why the entire appointment had to be canceled, particularly when the cleaning and the dental examination could have been treated as separate services. More importantly, I was not given a reasonable alternative for receiving the examination before my dental insurance expired. I had been paying COBRA dental insurance premiums throughout the year specifically so that I would have coverage for this scheduled appointment. Having the appointment canceled with only about a week's notice left me in a difficult financial position and effectively prevented me from using the coverage I had been paying for. I specifically asked whether my regular dentist could see me before my insurance expired. My understanding was that my original appointment had been reassigned to another dentist, who subsequently left the practice as well. Despite the fact that my regular dentist--the dentist with whom I had originally scheduled the appointment--was still practicing at the office, I was told that it was "not possible" for her to see me before my insurance coverage expired. I find this particularly concerning because I had done everything reasonably expected of a patient: I had established care with the practice, scheduled my appointment six months in advance, maintained dental insurance coverage specifically for that appointment, and explained the insurance dilemma to the scheduler as soon as I learned there was a scheduling problem. Nevertheless, because of the practice's staffing and scheduling issues, I was left without a meaningful opportunity to receive the care I had planned and paid to have covered. While I understand that staffing changes are sometimes unavoidable, the way this situation was handled was not reasonable or patient-centered. At a minimum, I believe the practice should have made a good-faith effort to accommodate the examination with my established dentist before my insurance expired, rather than simply telling me that doing so was "not possible."
