I waited 6 months for a very painful case of eczema. That was bad enough. I never received a confirmation call or text leading up to my appointment. When I got there, the woman at reception was so rude to me. I was never told I needed a referral regardless of my insurance policy. I could've called my primary care doctor and had one there within 24 hours. Never a problem at any other office. Not good enough, I had to have it IN HAND, office policy she said. They canceled me to have to reschedule for another 6 months in the future. I said no thanks and cried in the parking lot. Worst doctor office experience ever and I didn't even get to SEE a doctor. You know I pretty much had enough with this place. I've been going there for years and been a very faithful patient with all the patience in the world with the inconsistent Care the drs and others practice. Well now I'm in need because my husband lost his job and I'm on Medicaid and applying for disability and their financial office looked at my previous year's tax return and told me I don't qualify even though right now we have no income for the last three months and don't know when there will be. our current income falls below the poverty line. But instead of this place really taking it seriously and trying to keep their customers happy they just threw me under the bus and trampled me flat. I will never be back read more

I have been seeing Kim Bollinger for many years. She does a great job checking me for skin cancer every year. This winter I needed an emergency appointment and they had none for weeks, even after being a patient for many years. So I went to another dermatologist in Allentown that scheduled me within a week and took very good care of me. I just went for my 6 mo appointment today at Advanced Dermatology and was told I was not scheduled, that I had missed my appointment three weeks ago. They looked at my account and I was definitely enrolled for notifications but they never sent me any. It is now August and I have to wait till January for another appointment. Advanced Dermatology's Office Management System and lack of emergency appointments should be upgraded to match the excellent care that they give! read more

Doctors & Nurses ~ Fine. Scheduling Mohs surgery ~ Horrible!!! I have been a patient for over 25 years. I have required Mohs surgery in the past (not recently) and had no trouble promptly scheduling the procedure. The "NEW and IMPROVED" scheduling system was obviously designed by individual(s) whose view of "Customer Service" is to alienate patients as much as possible. I received one phone call indicating I would receive a call in 7-10 days. Since then it has been a frustrating game of telephone tag. Over a week ago I received a missed call. When I returned the call, all I could do was leave a message. A recording indicated I would receive a call in 24-48 hours. This was a LIE!! 8 days later I finally received a second call. The process is now in its second iteration. I have ZERO tolerance for dealing with LYING INCOMPETENT MORONS!!! I will start researching to find a practice that is more responsive. read more

Good care but very difficult to schedule exams. Doctors are all pleasant and knowledgeable. Staff is efficient. Waiting room is nice.

I had MOHS procedure done. The care was outstanding. Dr. O told me what he was doing the entire time I was under general anesthesia. I didn't even realize he was finished until he told me so. Due to the nature of the procedure, I had to wait for lab results to confirm he got the entire cancer site. While the reason for the visit wasn't great, the experience itself was very positive. I would recommend this facility for all dermatology needs. read more

I gave them two stars instead of one because when I had previous treatment four years ago, I felt like they spent more time with me and were open to discussing various options. This time when I went, there was a medical assistant doing training doing their best, but they were very nervous and focusing on what they had to do versus conversing with me and his training person was not very nice. She slammed the door various times when I asked her a question she didn't know to ask somebody else. The doctor wore a mask the whole time which made the visit very impersonal. I feel like he didn't listen to my concerns and just recommended a very strong medication. He also completely missed the fact that I have Venous insufficiency which causes rashes on the inside of the ankles. That should've been a red flag. I diagnosed myself and went for testing to confirm it. I felt like all he was interested in was prescribing me a very expensive medication instead of discussing what could be causing my issue. I don't have atopic dermatitis. I have venous stasis dermatitis. They are very different in regards to treatment. read more

Called LVHN for help in finding a dermatologist.. The LVHN agent explained that although they do not have a dermatologist on staff she stated that she could provide me with 3 "highly recommended doctors ". First on the list, Advanced Dermatology Associates. I phoned them for an appointment explaining my condition and I am a retired on Medicare. After a brief hold the secretary stated that the first appointment she could make for a "new patient " would be in April 2023. REALLY, was my comment. She hung up one. I thought this is how you operate your practice ? TERRIBLE!!! The second call was to Dermdox Dermatology Center ( the 2nd recommended office on the list) I reviewed my condition etc.etc. and received an appointment for the next day.
