I recommended this practice to a friend and saw the negative reviews so I thought I'd share my positive experience. I've been going here for about 8 years & I've never had a problem with the front desk or my practitioner. Michelle has helped me with my skin in various phases of my life & I even kept going to her during a point when they were OUT of network for me -but they were always upfront about this and the payments requires. It's unfortunate to see that others haven't shared the same experience, but I will continue to come here as long as I live in the area. read more

I have been a patient at Lehigh Valley Dermatology located at 940 N New Street, Bethlehem Pa 180182, for over 7 years . I have a chronic precancerous condition and go for check ups and treatments when required every 6 months. In July of 2022 I was contacted by the office support staff to advise that they were not in the network for my insurance-Aetna. I contacted Aetna and was assured they were in fact on the network. I called back and spoke to the office manager who said it was an error and yes , they do take my insurance. I went for my appointment and ended up requiring a procedure that took place in October and again in December. for my condition. Shortly before my February appointment I received a barrage of curt, bordering on unprofessional calls from numerous staff members telling me that they did not take my insurance. I explained that this had happened in the past and it was a mistake. I again contacted Aetna after each call and was told they are in the network and Aetna even reached out to them. The night before my appointment on 02/17 at 9:10am -I received a call at 5 pm that if I came to my appointment I would need to pay out of pocket. I called back but the office was closed. I called again in the morning and was placed on hold 3 times for over 45 min. The office manager apologized for the inconvenience but shared they were advised by an attorney they planned on hiring to have me pay up front. They did not like the reimbursement rate from Aertna and wanted out of the network. I explained that the duty of the medical director was to ensure patients are seen and that he should not put them in the middle of a financial dispute with the insurance company. She called Dr David Vasily who said if I do not pay out of pocket , I would not be seen despite them still being officially in the insurance network. I also reminded her that they have been paid for each of my services despite saying they were not-because I get the statements. I was then sent a copay bill for $20 in addition to my standard copay for an appointment on 12/14/22. Instead of appealing it I just paid it and they cashed the check on 03/06/23. So today I received the same bill as if I was late on my payment that I most likely should have appealed in the 1st place , but paid. I will miss my treating PA-Sara Hartman who is outstanding, but the principals that this medical director and his support staff operate under are completely unethical. read more

Extremely disappointed! I was told prior to my visit that they accepted my insurance! Right after my appointment, I was told they didn't! WHY WOULD I HAVE MADE AN APPOINTMENT IF THEY DID NOT TAKE MY INSURANCE?!? I have asked them to split the difference...which they are NOT willing to do. The women I've dealt with have been rude and sarcastic. They are not willing to work with me at ALL. Very disappointed with their office. They knew they didn't accept my insurance , but saw me anyway! read more

Dr. Vasily is not only an incredibly gifted and experienced dermatologist, but also a highly respected medical researcher and leader both in his dermatology specialty as well as in the highly scientific area of laser technology and cosmetic and chemical based treatments for skin care as well for cosmetic and aesthetic treatments. He leads those 2 medical specialties out of 2 separate Bethlehem PA based office locations. I have been one of Dr. Vasily's highly grateful patients for some 25+ years. He has performed some highly specialized, including potentially life-saving, treatments for me over those many years from both office locations. I have excellent health today, and even enjoy some very impressive cosmetic improvements, thanks to his great skills. I have had 25+ years to evaluate Dr. V, and find him to be the ultimate professional as well as down to earth, empathetic, and able to help make you feel totally comfortable, and sometimes even to laugh. I only wish that everyone could be so fortunate as to know someone so capable as Dr. Vasily to be their medical provider. read more

Do not go to Dr. Vasily for botox! He left one side of my face uneven with droopy eyelids. I went back to show him the result of his bad work and he was very rude to me and very unprofessional about the situation. I would recommend going to someone who cares about your well being unlike him. read more

Dr Vasily is absolutely AMAZING. I go to him at his other practice (aesthetica) but this is my first time at the medical practice. I got a bad bug bite of sorts on my face and was concerned. I called and the office staff squeezed me in within 2 hours after my call. Within a few minutes he had me diagnosed, scripts for an antibiotic, and had told a few jokes in the process. An amazingly talented dermatologist with a great bedside manner. The rest of the office was average in terms of decor, they do have friendly receptionists and nurses, but Dr Vasily makes this a 5 star practice! read more

Upon recently moving to Bethlehem, I was in search for a dermatologist. I have had skin cancer in the past and need to find a place that will see me within the year for my routine check up. After a short google search, I came across Lehigh Valley Dermatology as having a good rating so I decided to call. BIG MISTAKE. The receptionist was rude and really did not care what my situation seemed to be. She curtly told me, "We are not accepting patients for another year." I understand that this happens but I couldn't help but feel like I was calling a trendy restaurant and condescendingly getting turned down. The difference? This is my health and not a five star restaurant. This receptionist shouldn't be working in this line of work if she doesn't know how to deal with people. I recommend looking into other options for your dermatological issues. I'm in search now, and I can tell you, all the places I've called have not treated me with such attitude but with warmth and concern. Did I mention I was in the marketing business and have years of experience with relationship management? This place may have great doctors but if the people behind the phones and internet can not seem to communicate properly as the middle women (and men), then it's a problem. Most often, my friends ask what doctors I go to, buy products from, etc. Make no mistakes, I will not and can not justifiable recommend this practice. read more

I couldn't get past the persons on the phone. Both women told me I could not pay out of pocket to come to this office. ....and the supposed office supervisor , "Wanda" told me that it would be insurance fraud for me to pay out of pocket if their office didn't accept my insurance! LIES!!! I called my insurance company and asked them and they said this is in no way true. Wanda also told me she was the boss of all the drs in the practice, but she wouldn't give me her last name. Very strange indeed. Not sure what is going on there, but it isn't good practice, that is for sure. read more

I rarely write reviews unless I have a truly terrible experience somewhere. This is the WORST medical office I have ever been to. Just to give you some basic knowledge about me, I am very very easygoing. I came to Lehigh valley dermatology associates to have them clear up my skin, and also to have a mark removed on the end of my nose. it takes months to get an appointment with them, and they lie! I could go on and on. the front desk people are absolutely horribly rude, and the manager is no better and doesn't know how to run an office. as for the doctors, dr. ramsberger I went to about 6 times over the course of a year and a half and she did not help me at all with clearing skin. I have learned now through other ways and not just one medication like she suggested that I was able to clear my skin through the help of another office (quickly I might add) as for the removal of the mark on the end of my nose. That whole process would have taken about a year the way they were explaining it. I waited two months and was treated rudely after they cancelled my initial appointment. Then after me having to eb the bigger person rescheduling waiting another 2 and a half months, I got in there for a consultation with doctor Vasily and dr ramsberger. once he says the first step is to remove the surface and see what happens I thought ok great. go out to schedule the next appointment because of course they do nothing the day of, and oh sorry sir thats another 3 and a half months until doctor Vasily is available. let me say something... THEY ARE NOT SEEING LOADS OF PATIENTS A DAY, THEY HAVE A 2 HOUR LUNCH BREAK EVERY DAY, AND THE FRONT STAFF DOES NOT KNOW HOW TO RUN AN OFFICE. I really hate to talk this bad about a office of business, however I would hate for someone to waste time and money as I have. read more
